pg.Jatiroto locomotive returned the 'transloading' carriage/lorry belonging to pg.Semboro which was seconded to the end of the pg.Jatiroto mill.
Transloading lorries are special lorry carriages that are used to store sugarcane from trucks, so these lorries are MUCH LONGER than standard lorries so that they can accommodate enough sugarcane as long as the truck bed. Why is sugarcane transferred from truck to lorry?? so that trucks don't queue for too long waiting for their turn to grind the sugar cane, so the truck arrives at the PG (Sugar Factory) and immediately transfers the sugar cane to the lorry and can go straight back to pick up the sugar cane from the plantation, without having to queue to enter the mill (cane table).
pg.Semboro ends the milling season in mid-October 2022, so its lorry carriages (50 units) can be sent to pg.Jatiroto which is still milling until the end of November 2022, which will be delivered via lorry route because the two PG rail lines are still connected. According to PG workers, because the lorry is so long, 1 Transloading lorry is equivalent to 2 standard lorries, meaning the locomotive is carrying 100 standard lorries. Well... this video is the process of returning the transloading lorry from pg.Jatiroto, Lumajang Regency to pg.Semboro, Jember Regency.
