One great Quesion to hardcore: Can a shaman use reincarnation if he has an Ankh and it's not on cooldown. If not why not? It is the shamans greatest deffCD overall like lay on hands from the paladin.
Interesting point on people developing disconnect scripts to abuse that mechanic. Recently OSRS released an item for hardcore players that will teleport you out of combat if the server doesn't detect any input from the client over an adjustable period of time, and I don't think this has been abused. Although it's much easier to get stacked out in seconds on OSRS so I guess that might be why
Wouldn't it be incredibly easy to say that appeals are allowed ONLY if footage of the DC and the attempt to reconnect promptly are available within an hour or a half hour after the death (however long to not allow editing) since Blizz would have the capability of seeing the backend info of the time of day when a character died. Then they'd have everything they need to curate appeals, provided they're strict with the requirements. It'd be a lighter task for them to review those, and it'd be impossible to abuse... the reviewer can just look at footage and say, "well you were likely gonna die anyways, so it's a no"
You never played wow?😂 there are many ways to dc that aint in your own control. Fyi: servers now live and there has been multiple times with masswipes due to overpopulation/laggspikes that were fully on blizzard cause bad servers and not expecting 10k players to get same worldbuff at same time. Those chars are still fully gone.
