Hardcore Henry part 14 - Henry is no Simp for the House of God 

I like to think that too, more maybe more like Djinn or a monkey's paw. You may make a wish, but you never know what you will get. ;)

Like making a deal with an eldritch god. You ask it to make you closer to someone and it kills everyone except you two.

You know I cut out that content of me berating him for not wearing the shoes I just given him! Though I was trying to avoid the comments that "oh he is a pilgrim he is suppose to go barefoot so he won't put on the shoes" sort of thing, which is why I cut it, but you and me think alike ;)

Just do me a favor and make sure and give Old Ruch a good old smacking for me ;) That jaunty immortal is too darn good at archery!

I remember the first time doing this mission that I could not for the life of me find that skull. I had to look up where the sucker was at. Now that I know its jammed under the hill it is easy, but still a bit of a pain.

Haha, sometimes I don't know where all these lines come from and I have to go back to see what the heck was I doing back then :P

The crackling is less effective than beef and is far more expensive. However, the crackling I can buy at butcher shops and can drop all at once, and not one at a time to produce the same effect as the beef. Also it seems to have a stable base which may allow me to go higher. Now using a combination of the two, not certain how that could work out, but it might be a thing ;) And that shadow realm is quite strange or either it is just the NPC where they respawn. The one in Rattay people end up in the top north east of the map and walk back, here they just pop back in the church yard center. But I will see what I can do ;)

Honestly, I have seen something like that before, but never caught it on recording. At first, I thought it might of been the Mason worker getting teleported up to the scaffolding for the "House of God" quest. But after reloading and trying to get it to go again, I looked at the footage and it was just one of the workers having a great time with a private trampoline.

Yah for being a common laborer or foreman he has some really nice clothes. Henry just had to try them on for a bit ;)

Ah that is a good point story wise! Getting that ability to tell that story opens up some nice dialogue options there. I honestly do not know what other story could tell in its place, I am curious now because that is the one I always hear.

God, I was just thinking of making the Smash brothers intro scene there. Look who has joined the fight with the guard jumping over the fence. I am terrible at that type of editing, but it might just be worth it ;)

I know the game is technically not a sandbox, but when you can mess around this much with the game it feels like one.

Oopffh that brings me back :P I always did like the pointy hats in this game, does give off that battle mage feel!

I spent a couple hours playing with audio-tune it and mess with the sound to give it a special feeling, but nothing worked out. So, I settled for the lazy way out, since the editing was really not going anywhere special :( I might play around with it more if I find a background beat and find a good plugin for audio-tune this into a T-pain masterpiece :P

And I do love that people are still enjoying watching these episodes. I thought people were losing interest after awhile but it seems steady, so glad you're all enjoying it!

Ah nice. Does he get put into a jail cell sort of like Rattay has for the few people you can collect over time? I just always assumed, the Monastery had "frontier justice" out there and everyone who doesn't carry a torch at night needs to be purged.

@helicalgoose I'm not sure if he goes anywhere else other than the infirmary. I know once he's there you can decide to "deal with him yourself" or leave him to God to judge. Never saw what happens afterwards if you let him live when he's at the infirmary. Last I checked he stays there then despwans or sum🤷‍♂️

@@AxNova4 That is quite useful information. This game has a bunch of surprising outcomes that even after exhausting a bunch of options, there is another one that I have missed! Thanks for the details. If I ever do a full play of this game again, I got to remember to finish this quest like you mentioned it.

Finally! That mission has been bugged for so long. Also side note, I think that there is only one mission now to get that rare "reputation" from the quarrymen and that is a in depth mission at that. I do not know why they have their own reputation system since I think kill those guys out there (or most of them) they still draw their reputation on Talmberg not quarry? Been awhile since I tested, but I do not think I ever seen that reputation slide below 50.

Henry does have level 20 pickpocket after all. Why not "borrow" a few pieces of clothing ;)

Henry robs everyone equally! ;) But I do have to admit that behind the scenes I am on a campaign of giving away as much wealth as possible at the shops trying to keep my reputation out of the gutter. I think I have spent about 30-40k of groschen just on tips in the last couple episodes and my poor reputation in most places sits at 50ish. So I have been trying to give this wealth away to the poor, but they seem to not like Henry causing massive inflation!

You know I never had the heart to replace the crown with a fake gem, but I should've since Henry did not want to be a "home-wrecker" for Talmberg. It probably would've had some great lines in there :P

@Helical you're very kind, though I don't feel pity towards lady of talmberg and their family. They just abuse Henry, asking him to do difficult and responsible missions with no reward. Of course lady Stephanie can give a reward, a sort of, but I don't think this is a good one. I wish game does have option to tell sir Divish about this. Maybe I'm a little conservative of course, but the end of this quest made me a bit disappointed. I didn't expect this at all. Of course I don't mind to get old heritage shirt and pants but this! No thank you. The gem and a horse is my little revenge. This is all I can do to compensate all abuse of poor Henry. He shouldn't work for free, especially for not his lord.

@@wonniethepoop7856 Yah their reward are very poor, especially for how detailed their quests are. I remember there was a discussion about the whole Lady Stephanie thing and why she would even do this with Henry. Someone put forward and interesting thought that, Lady Stephanie was probably trying to have kids with Sir Divish, but things were not working out, because he got captured and got "too old" or something along those lines. So they both thought that get Henry to do some of the side work to get her pregnant and just pretend it never happened ever again, which is why she never acknowledges Henry at all after the whole thing. It is sort of far fetched, but it does put a different RP factor into this and perhaps makes it a bit better? Don't know, but I will definitely try to steal that gem next time, even though its only worth like 150 groschen, its like why not! I do not need no stinking tshirt ;)

He does show up quite a bit. I had a hair brain thought of trying to capture all NPCs that look like a particular person and hold them hostage in an area together. The sad part, some of them holds the power of teleportation, so its tough to get that to work.

I glad, at the same time worried. Usually when I watch other people play some games, I get the itch to play because either I want to try out what they did or either insulted they did not make the play I would've done in that situation and I need to start a massive campaign to prove myself right for no reason :P Hopefully it is the first one.

There are so many more jump locations I have found out recently since starting to screw around like that :P The horse makes certain areas way more accessible. The hard part in hardcore mode is that Henry has gotten stuck more than I like to admit.

Henry has to stay stylish. And it has been too long since I switch from the robe, got to switch it up a little.

I might, but I think I was saving montages for later. Who knows, I am in the process of editing it already and got it trimmed down to a point. I might have some inspiration to add one in :P

If he had cobbler experience then he should've had some really nice shoes! Also I usually do not add in "beggers" or "random encounters" like that, but that was just too much of a coincidence to not add in.

I still have them all, I have not deleted any footage quite yet. I might try to make a montage of them all, whenever I have a "week off". Though I would feel bad if I did not do a little fancy editing. I do have quite a bit of them pulled up, just have not been in a situation to use them or think about them till its too late.

Honestly, I think CN in the comments right before yours brings up a good point about just taking the shirt because why not! The quest is actually one of the better ones overall, especially with Henry singing. I was really trying to get that singing into some sort of skit but after a few hours I had to give up on it, since it was not going anywhere. I might try to fit into some other episode, I still have the footage so why not.

Ah did they work? I feel like the subs that get added in are sort of quite a bit off, but I can turn them on if they help out :D I wish I had a script or time to write the subs all the way, but oh man it is tough, but someday!

I was actually curious about the same thing. The only way you would know he is in the Mill is that you have done the quest already. As far as I know, he does not sleep there, he does not mention it at all, and he doesn't even wear the funny little hat. To how you're suppose to know that he would be in the mill, umm no idea. I am certain there is something around or maybe you need to follow him, but he disappears after you talk to the gravedigger about the skull, so you can't follow him if you suspect him because you're already on the other side of town! Sort of frustrating, but then I remember that this quest is broken and that is enough for me :P
