Goings and cops like him are always well known within the dept, city/county government, command to the street cop, but as long as" he's putting the bad guys away" those who know always turn a blind eye to his usually illegal tactics of making an arrest and run cover for these bad cops. Chief Acevedo former mayor, city council, and the HPD dept command are all responsible for Going's carrier of illegal actions, that they have all effectively ignored his illegal activities for years. we must always remember that the state and HPD were both about to FEED the public false testimony and evidence to cover up and close this case and get it out of the public's eyes ASAP, however had it not been for the independent investigation paid for by the Tuttle family members those criminally involved would have gotten away with these murders and attempted their cover up. the good people of Houston have a chance to send a clear message too departments nationwide that these rouge cops and departments will no longer be tolerated and must be reign in/stopped immediately by charging everyone involved in this cover up including former chief A, mayor, state forensic lab tech's, any and all officers involved also including DA Ogg with witness/evidence tampering, false testimony, conspiracy, accomplice to murder, because as we've seen cops will LIE AND COVER UP to protect each other no matter the cost in lives or taxpayer's dollars. ending qualified immunity will also help reduce the numbers of police abuses, when any civil action come out of the cops own pocket it will make him thing twice before he offers false testimony/evidence/arrest. We always hear from law enforcement departments across America about how they hold themselves and officers to the highest moral/ethical standards of any group in America, well now it's time to prove it by firing and brady list your bad cops. which we all know these departments won't do! well not at least until there's another Tuttle tragedy and their own dept. is under the microscope of the public's eye.

What on Earth could motivate a veteran police officer to gamble their freedom/retirement *just to frame a random couple for selling drugs???* Years of not being held accountable for misconduct.

In the 2000's I worked for a man that was part of that corrupt PD vice squad of the mid 90's who were all fired. The PD benefitted from that.
