OMG! We were just young, long-haired beauties back then chasing the dream and enjoying the live shows. Now, we are all aging but the fire still burns inside us. This song brings back so many great memories of Dallas City Limits and The Basement in Dallas! We used to play this song in a band that I played guitar for in 1993.
My dad bought the Double Eclipse album in an ernie's music store in 1992. He used to play it whenever it was just me and him in the car. I grew up listening to this album from the age of 4 until now, and no matter how much I listen to this album on repeat it doesnt matter it never gets old. Everytime I listen to it, I always send him a screenshot of whatever song I'm listening to. His reply is always The Best, or Great Song or Epic. He was and still is a HUGE Neal Schonn fan, as am I. I cant thank him enough for raising me on what rock is supposed to sound like. I'll never forget walking in the house at 5 years old, flinging the garage door open, and going LIFES A BITCH YES IT IS! And my mom going "EXCUSE ME?" and me being the little shit I was, I didnt care. I still have the original cd and case with the original Double Eclipse cd, paper, and everything still in perfect condition. It's basically an heirloom now. Thank you Johnny and Neal for being the rockers who put this GOLD MINE of rock music out. My dad is 72 and I'm now 32 and we will both forever cherish this band and this album and all the songs as the greatest rock songs ever put out. It blows my fucking mind that this band didnt explode on the scene. Pops said it was the drummer's fault bc he kept beating his ol ladys ass, but all I can think of is her not being as avid of a rocker and probably disliked the songs so hey, whatever you gotta do. Love you guys until I die. 🤘🤘🤘
I missed it too , but in the past year ive been rockn it on the daily atleast 5x per day im 58 and dont give a dam , im rockin my way out , but not in a rockn chair , found the cd online so ive got it forever ! Love this Song , looks like Journeys Neil Schon on one of the guitars ?
*This is the very song I rocked long and hard to back then... those were the days for sure... Still rock'n today and probably always will, thanks for such great memories +Johnny Gioeli you will never be forgotten my friend!! \w/>
Neal should have carried on with hardline rather than picking the zombiefied corpse of journey this band was going places journey has turned into a glorified covers band which is sad.
