Hardy is the guy singin'. His friend did 20 year's for what he did. He is a Roadie for Hardy. But he's married to the girl and they had 4 girls. They still got that Truck. Southern Justice ya'll!
the sad thing is that I, as a third country resident understands this more than most americans do. I love you guys and I dream of having a small house in Texas with arms to defend it, tho I know it will never be. Guard the first and the second amendment with all you have because they were taken from us and then you are a slave to the state.
As a survivor, not a victim, this song is so amazing. I was 16, pregnant and married and too darn afraid to speak out. My family was being threatened if I told and I believed him, after all, he had already killed my dog. I wish I had met a guy like this way back then.....
I'm so sorry this happened to you he killed your dog 🐕🦺🐾because people like him abuse someone or something weaker than them ,because they are COWARDS! Hopefully one day he will get what her deserves.🙏🐕🦺
“I never thought my day of justice would come from a judge under a seat.” As a DV survivor who was traumatized again by the courts - this line hits the hardest for me. For those who don’t know, a judge is also the name of a gun.
@07:03 I remember being like 18, and a bunch of us doing a little communicating after having a little (maybe more than a little) to drink at a party. Girl showed up bruised up. We paid him a visit and actually did kick in his door and did some worth while communicating with the guy. She was beat up pretty good but looked nothing like he did when we were done with him. Hard to believe that was almost 20 years ago now but if it came down to it again I would communicate the same way in that situation.
As a survivor of someone who’s ex husband almost killed her, this song is what I wish would have happened lol. Hell even the courts aren’t even on the side for the survivors most times since the sentences are usually so low. This song was amazing when I heard it. I immediately looked up everything Hardy had done, even features etc. that gospel choir is so great unexpected and fits even still. Lol.
@@amandalinard9835 thanks. We were only married for like 2 years but it took a long time to leave and realize the manipulation he was doing was wrong and reverse everything he did. You’d be surprised how fast and slow it starts and with just the financial, emotional, psychological manipulation and abuse happens before the physical abuse starts and you’re already feeling like less than a human so you think you deserve the violence even though you know you don’t. It’s so crazy. I’m educated, I’m smart, I’m usually independent but he wiggled his way in. It was crazy and took years of therapy. Im finally at a place years later where my ptsd and depression are under control and never gonna let it happen again
The artist's name is Michael Hardy (if you paid attention at the beginning of the video, you would see the text that says "concept by michael hardy". Lainey Wilson is the female singer (again in the beginning of the video it states "featuring lainey wilson".
I love this! I have never heard this before, but damn, what a song. Their voices are amazing. "And I might be here forever It ain't paradise, that's true But it's whole hell of a lot better Than the place I sent him to, yeah" Damn but that gave me chills. Wow.
@@lizdubyak2538 I kinda know some behind that and he was upset......it is WHY he is against the industry mostly and wrote the Mockingbird and the Crow BECAUSE THEY WONT LET THEM DO THINGS THEIR WAY ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVEN’T MADE IT BIG AS AN ARTIST (his SONGS FOR OTHERS HAVE BUT NOT HIM so why THEIR PRODUCTIONS WERE BETTER THAN THIS ONE) makes me mad and him and her too!!! She’s actually pretty great too. He takes HEAVY inspiration if you can’t tell from a “Kid Rock” mentality and doesn’t want a “box”.......I’m having a stupid moment but their is 1 more he likes a lot for certain things too. I live close to him and his family here in Mississippi less than 20 mins and my best friend her in-laws live next door to his home place and where his parents still are. I was like holy cow and hadn’t put the puzzle pieces together until recently all because of Covid and not seeing or talking to them a lot when he all of a sudden MADE IT FROM SONGWRITING TO ARTIST ALSO. THAT WAS A HUGE CHALLENGE TALK TO ANYONE WHO WRITES .....
Hardy is not a band. He is the man singing in this song & the woman singing is Lainey Wilson. They both are incredible artists. Love this song & your reaction.
So glad you guys liked it. I thought you would. Such a great song and the video compliments it perfectly. HARDY is so talented and with the story telling he is a true artist with so many great songs.
Thank you for reacting to this song. It made me like and subscribe. 👍 I was raised in a household of alcoholism and physical and psychological abuse. I had 3 older brothers hellbent on protecting me because our mother couldn't be bothered. This song is very powerful. From my take on it, it feels like he had the experience my brothers did. Perhaps he too grew up protecting a baby sister he wasn't old enough or strong enough to protect to the fullest. I think it's safe to say something pushed him over the edge on this night. He didn't strike me as a serial killer just killing for the fun of it. No way he would have gotten life in prison if I'd been sitting on the jury!
Hardy is the male vocalist, he has been a successful songwriter in Nashville for a long time. Laney is a country singer (the female vocalist). Hardy also sings Rock and Roll 'Sold Out' is a great one😘 Bless Y'all from Texas ❣️
I’ve been waiting what seems like FOREVER for y’all to react to some Morgan Wallen and Hardy! So glad to see this reaction from y’all! ❤ Next Hardy song has to be his newly dropped “The mockingbird and the crow!” If you want a light one “give heaven some hell” is his most known song.
I’m so impressed you guys noticed that was his truck at the end…all other reaction videos have missed that. I just subscribed and like you guys. I do like, in reaction videos, to pause the videos a few times and give comments throughout the video.
We're REALLY inconsistent about that. Sometimes we pause. Sometimes we comment without pausing. And sometimes, we won't say a word through the whole song. It really just depends on how the song is hitting us, I think. - Keith
Hardy and Lainey performed this song at the CMA awards last week. It was great! They are Michael Hardy who has won song writer of year this year and last and Lainey won best single and best New performer at CMA awards this year. ♥
Hardy performed at a concert festival I went to last year. Honestly, compared to all other country music artists, his style and vocals bordered on screamo. It was very scary. (Maybe good for punk or rock fans). That said, I do like this song.
My mother was often beat by my father (I hesitate to call him that, as I really never knew him). I often wondered why nobody stepped in and helped her this way and why she never took matters into her own hands to kill him herself in self defense. She said he always apologized and promised never to do it again. Thankfully, when I was about 5-6 years old, she was able to sneak out with me and the clothes on our backs. To this day, I don't remember any of the beatings, but I have such a strong reaction to any domestic violence, that I am sure I have some repressed memories. Anyway, thank you for doing this song. Men who hit women are weak and pathetic. As far as the Jim Beam, that's my go-to bourbon to mix with Dr. Pepper. Give it a try. It's really good! I don't care for it in an old fashioned though. Lastly, does anyone ever send anything to your wives? I know that sounds weird, but hey, they put up with you. 🤣 I make apple pie "moonshine" and peach "moonshine." Those are in quotes because it's not a true moonshine (I'm not distilling anything). Made with 190 Everclear. If you think they'd like some, let me know. I'm making more for the holidays.
They just did this song live at the CMA's it sounds just as good. You should check it out Off channel of coarse since you have already reacted to it. But I think you'll enjoy this one live.
My wife showed me this the day it dropped and I have been hooked on HARDY ever since. This is such a great song. However I haven't heard anything from him I haven't liked.
I plan on sending a bribe for that one next time. I send in some. so it might take a little while. but they will get it at some point. maybe faster if someone beats me to it. I have a list of HARDY songs to send in after they get through what has already been sent.
Hardy is the guy and Lainey is the female. They are 2 separate country singers, both fairly new. You can see the live performance of that song on the 2022 CMA. Hardy is known for his song writing
Thank you, great reaction! I subscribed. He just met her on the street, but this must have been that 'one more thing' that made him say not today Dude. IMO he ultimately saved her life. They get back out, defy no contact orders and there ya go. The dude played F around and find out one too many times! Plus the acting in this...he beat on that door with PURPOSE! I also love the no regrets look on his face at the end when she says Thank you. No regrets. He likely would have gone too far and killed her eventually.
To the best of my knowledge Hardy is primarily a writer and many other artists have recorded them. It's also rumored that he keeps the best ones for himself.
Not really HARDY started writing in 2018 . FGL encouraged him to record his own music so in 2020 he released his first album. He is a singer, song writer and as of right now out of the 10 #1 songs he has written only 1 belong to him as a singer so he doesn't keep the best ones for himself. He is just a really good artist in all forms.
FUN FACT....This is a true story. The man did 20 years and when he got out she still had his truck. They got married, had children, are living in Alabama and he works on the road with Hardy.
This has been getting a lot of play on my local country station (in Canada). I didn't know until someone told me that a 'judge' is a .44 Magnum. Thank you for playing it and your comments.
The Judge is a .410 shotgun pistol. Well, a pistol that fires shotgun shells. It can also shoot .45 long colt cartridges (which are not shotgun shells).
Hardy is the last name of the male singer song writer. He goes way back into the old school roots with his special story skills and country twang in his voice. He's fairly new on the scene but I predict we will be seeing much more of him. P.s. he also does rock as well.
Hardy actually wrote Gods Country that you’ve reacted to by Blake Shelton. His newest album is part country part rock and even has a Jeremy Mckinnon feature on one song
“Drunk Americans” or “Hope on the rocks” both Toby Keith my favorite is hope on the rocks. Please do one of them. I’ve been asking for this for almost a year
Carrie Underwood: Church Bells Folks don’t understand this unless or until they’re there😔 But there is hope… I promise. And sometimes, you even get that fairytale, albeit belated. 💔❤️🩹❤️ Always fun, guys! Stay safe & love much💖
Don’t assume. It makes you look bad. You just watched Michael HARDY, the artist…and Lainey Wilson, the most awarded female artist at the CMA’s this year. And yes, this falls solidly into the story-tellers class - my favorite.
Word play - "I never knew my day of justice would come from a Judge under the seat' The revolver he shows is also a Taurus Judge revolver which is capable of using 45 cal, as well as 410 shotgun shells
It’s a good cooking bourbon that doesn’t break the bank. Hardy is a new artist to me. Need to investigate after hearing this. Thanks for the new exposure fellas.
Hell YEAH, I Had tears within minutes .Took me back to 17 yrs old pregnant when he hit me first time. After a while he looked as bad as me, I went crazy, hit him in mouth with iron skillet full of hot grease n chicken Took out his teeth. I finally left with my boys
