Thank you for your great reviews. I also bought the Harley Benton delay and first notice, not digital and exactly as in your video the time knob only works between 11-2 o clock. I find this effect more of a shimmer or short echo than a delay really. I must say I regret not taking a Behringer they're only €10,- more but sound 10x better.

It is a analog-sounding digital delay (with the Princeton PT2399 Echo Audio Processor in its heart). Doesn't matter though since it sounds analog. Fantastic reviews of these pedals - the best! Thanks.

The finish on that guitar is beautiful

you can do a dotted 8th note with ANY delay pedal, but you just have to find the delay yourself. These analog delays just have no TAP, so you have to set it manually...

"digital" implies use of digital circuit, not clean repeats. This indeed uses digital chip PT2399...it's just not very good, so echoes are not clean :)

my favorite delay is the warm sounding,original micro pedal,guyatone md 3.almost 20yo.they still make them 99 bucks.great for big solo. old alesis mini-verb,half rack the one they used on don henleys track ,boys of summer.

I just bought one of these pedals today. A guy on Craigslist had one and I paid $30 Canadian for it. Great pedal. I immediately took it to a rehearsal and it performed the job perfectly.. The repeat is interesting.. If you crank it, you get an infinite repeat/feedback thing happening.. Slapback effects are easy to achieve by setting the time at about 9-10'oclock. On the downside, I've read negative reports of Joyo pedals in regard to the switches.. They seem to have a tendency to break. I've only had this pedal for a day now, so only time will tell.

How would this compare to the harley Benton dd-2?

Actually is digital. I found these on a site: "The Digital Delay pedal features a special filter circuit to closely reproduce the sounds of analog delay. Delay time range: 25ms-600ms"

I'm looking for a Delay that isn't strong. I even thought Carbon Copy was too strong. Which delay is softest?

Hoi Henning, I just bought this pedal and I am surprised that this pedal take so much volume out... It seems took half of the volume when I use this pedal, in bypass it is louder. Any idea why? FYI, I use only 1 pedal, no other elements in the line. Your feeedback would be highly appreciated. Gruß, Herman

Hi ! I hesitate within Harley Benton between the former pedal DD-2 (classic look) and this "latest Joyo clone" (more flashy) you are nicely demonstrating. Unfortunately there's no demo as good as yours for the DD-2. What would be your best choice for a similar price ? TKS

A big heads up for anyone considering this pedal it comes equipped with a 9v battery connector as well as an external 9v jack. There is no shielding between the battery compartment and the other internal electronics so If you intend to use this with a pedalboard without a battery installed you should either remove the battery dongle or cover it with tape. On my pedal (Joyo version) after using the pedal for 2 days the connector somehow became wedged against the hot contact on the audio input jack and blew out the input preamp on the pedal. The good news for me is that I am capable of repairing this myself so it wasn't a catastrophe but for anyone else it would have resulted in a bricked pedal. Anyone interested the preamp is a basic RC4558P op amp.

Hi Henning. Muss ein Problem mit deinem Modell sein. Ich hab zwei von denen schon mehrfach an meinen Synths / Drummachines dran gehabt und die Delayzeit geht auf jeden Fall bis 600 ms hoch. Kannst du auf meinem Channel sehen - falls du Minimal Techno hörst - da hab ich sie im Einsatz ;-) Also würd mir einfach noch eins kaufen. Die Teile kosten nix und sind einfach nur göttlich !!! Grüße aus Thüringen ;)

Oscar Peña, It's not digital. It's digitally aided so it can get the 600ms delay.

how do you get that fade (at 6:10) ?

As far as I remember it was the American Pedal.

Well that PRS is fuckin beautiful

I bought the analog delay and ran it in the effects loop of my 6262 and it doubles the volume of my signal when activated. Unusable for me. I am returning to amazon and getting this pedal instead. Does it have the same issue?
