Mate. This is the best. I own and built my 415ci sbc chev blown alcohol motor. And have been second guessing doing a cam swap on my 2009 fxstc. Cause I cant find anywhere that shows cam shiming push rod's O ring seals and cam gear liniment. Absolute brilliant vid. Thanks from australia
Mate, wish I didn't live on the other side of the world (Australia)! I have a garage full of parts to put in my Dyna, but it's hard to find a trustworthy builder. I know from experience, worked at a Harley dealership for a period so I know what goes on ;)
its funny, adjustable push rode were the norm for years and now people think they are a gift from god.... Great Vid, you do a good job with the info. Down to earth.
Hey man, doing this on my bike. I want a cam with more top end power as i ride my harley hard more lake a sport bike. Is your bike stock other than stage 1 and the 555 cam? Also does it end up pulling hard near the top end rpm like i want?
Parts are probably around $600-$800. $1.2-1.4k if you’re doing the cam plate and oil pump. I charge about $400 in labor for the swap which is probably a little on the low side compared to shop owners. And a tune will cost you $500-1000 depending on who does the tune.
i’m looking forward to when the assembly lube hoax is exposed . I can see if a new bike may sit 14 months before it’s sold . But assembly lube is only 45 seconds.
