The best way is to never let them get in that condition to begin with. I’ve had my road glide for 5 years and they look like new. My wife had a Deluxe for 11 years and they looked like new after 70 miles. Water and a rag does wonders after every ride. Takes 5 minutes.
I did this on my road king. Those forks looked like they were recovered from a ship wreck when I got them. To keep that shine up soak a flat shoe lace in mothers and floss em.
How is the polished look holding up ?? Any rust? Since the clear coat was removed. I am going to do mine and I was wondering if clear coat is needed or not. Thank you
I tell customers to treat them like uncoated wheels and hit them with some Mothers polish every now and then. How long the shine lasts depends on the environment the bike is in, but once they’re polished out it’s pretty easy to maintain by hand.
