Very nice Mike! Not only will your bike have a great front suspension, but it will feel like a totally different bike.

Really needed it. The original stock suspension was worn out. Feels like no suspension at all when going over some road bumps.

Wow, I had no idea about any of this. I'm certain my 1999 Fat Boy, Evo with 25,000 mi. is untouched since new and needs attention. Previous owner of my 2002 Road King w/35,000 had the forks chromed so new parts were probably installed 10-12 yrs ago. He also replaced air shocks with Progressives. Looks like I need to check out my bikes. Thanks so much for the videos restoring your bike. Hope there's a follow-up to this video with ride comparisons. Thanks for a great video.

Bought the same Progressive monotube kit for my '08 R/King, but have yet to install it. I want to get chrome lowers & do it all at once. This will be helpful, thx.😁👍looking forward to the install video!

On the road king it’s much easier to do but it can be intimidating. Agreed- Best bet is wait for everything then do the job once. You got this

Wow great work on the video! I gues you tube deleted the second half of the comment. I am curious why you went progressive over say Legends or Ohlins? I know there is a price point difference just curious of why that route? Also have you upgraded the rear?

Hmmm? did I miss this comment? Anyhow to answer that question- The main reason was price. As you may know suspension parts are very expensive. I am trying to stay within budget for this build but I am quickly learning that soon I maybe over budget by a lot. So I have to cut where I can. If I had an unlimited amount of money for this build My choice would have been Legend suspension products. Still working on the rear shocks. I know I want to get rid of the Harley air shocks but not sure what I will bye to replace them. Will know more as this build progresses but money is a major factor here. thanks for the question- good one

@@TechnMoto not sure if you do Facebook. But market place on there is a GOLD MINE! yes you won’t have legends warranty bht you can get a used pair for a good price. Then just pay to ship and have them reworked over so it’s brand new. Money is always the hardest part of a build. I can’t wait to see the outcome as well.
