Harley Davidson Road Glide Stereo Upgrade - Wild Boar Audio Install
I installed a ‪@Hogtunes‬ Wild Boar Audio 2 speaker stereo in my buddy's 2021‪@harleydavidson‬ Road Glide Special. This is a lot easier than a batwing bike / Street Glide / Ultra, but still some work if you haven't done it before. This kit cost about $900 (link below), but would cost you about $3k if you have it installed at a rally.

After watching your previous Hogtunes video, I ordered the less expensive 225 watt amp for my 21 FLTRX. Very happy with it. I did not need to flash it, and it’s as loud as I could ever need at 80 mph. Thanks!

Need and need may be a different thing. Those radio’s are tuned to get the most out of those subpar speakers used. It’s easy to flash it and we’ll worth it. But like everything, it’s objective.

I put the Wild Boar system on my Ultra Limited that has 4 speakers and 2 amps that are 400 watt each. It is extremely loud and has really good sound coming from a 6.5 speaker. Mine is 3 years old now and I've had no problems out of it.

I put the same unit in my 22 White sand pearl RGS and LOVE IT! can actually hear it as you ride. YEs I agree the amp placement was not explained great and on mine the velcro was on the wrong side of the bracket.. Luckily I had pieces laying around to put on the other side for correct fitting.

Gotta agree Mr. Monk. Got mine installed by Paul at Fairing Exchange in Laconia 6 months ago, 2 amps and 4 speakers. Love it. Plenty loud, and clear at on the hiway even at 80mph. Good company both Hog Tunes and The Fairing Exchange. Can't recommend both and the system enough

I prefer to install the wiring in the backbone and not on top of the tank. Seems like it would require battery disconnect to remove the tank in the future. This could impact the willingness to do maintenance on time. All seriousness thanks for the recap video. It still help us to see what has happened even if it is not a how too. Enjoy the ride!

Nice job, next one try running the power wires through one of the frame tubes, that's what I did on mine, didn't have to remove the tank and comes right out by the battery

I swapped out my 4 stock speakers and replaced with hog tunes speakers. With no amp upgrade they still sound better than the stock speakers.

I have same set up.. My lite i see through my Compartment area on my 15 ultra.. Thing hardly ever goes off rofl.. Guess i like my music loud... Will get the other system for my lowers... Leave the rear as is..

Both links are for the RG. Volunteer Audio can set you up with a top quality head unit, amp and speaker for a few dollars more, for those riding with the GT stereo. Amp (Hertz) and speakers (Infinity) for around the same price as this kit. It’ll be an improvement whatever you decide, but the top shelf equipment is amazing compared too…

Well that was a waste of my time. I'm installing separate components, so, I watched this to see how to install the amplifier, or at least see how the amp was mounted. and didn't even see the amp mounted. Most of your other videos are great

@@ProfessionalMonkey Sure bought big ultra system a few years ago and lower woofers. Rear speakers had popping cracking sound, after further diagnoses and talking with Mike from HT I realized it wasn't the speakers but the rear outputs from the amp, Mike admitted to me the face plates on the amps weren't set back far enough so speaker wire connectors didn't grab properly, they knew about this and still sold the amps. Eventually they sent me a replacement amp, same sh*t different pile. Then they emailed me instructions on how to bend tabs back on face plate so connecters would grab. Didn't work! As an added bonus I had my bat wing off/on so many times I had stripped one of the threads in the fairing which I had to fix.I have emails to back up all my claims here, so like i said would never buy that junk again. ENJOY
