Got one for my wife. It's okay. Much better than the regular street. But i do think build quality is lacking a bit compared to my dyna. But nothing as bad as some people online whould want you to believe. It's a nice bike. Especially for the price i bought it for.
Once again, great video. I like the idea of the raised seat. On the fence about the raised bars. I chose bassani megaphone for my exhaust based on how it made the street 750 sound. It was still on the crate on Friday. PDI on Monday!
Jedz, I like the mods that you performed on the bike. I am also impressed with your foot peg wear as the left side of the Streetrod has an available 40 degrees of possible lean angle.
Awesome review.... N m4 exhaust is phenomenal... Trust me brother i was looking for a video of street rod with an after market exhaust so that I can finally decide to buy this bike... N all thanx to you I got an idea how it will sound..
Idle doesn't do it justice. it's definitely more SV1000 sounding in the upper revs but the 60' twin in the lower revs makes a sound very similar to the traditional Harley Lug. it's nice sounding.
Hey so you say "universal" M4 however, the link you provided requires you to put in a Make and Model. Any insight? Or would you sell me the one you took off when you went with the other exhaust?
What do you think of those Michelins they come with? I'm getting on SR next month and some reviewers say they aren't good (the tires that is). Would love to know what you think. Nice mods.
No not really easy to grind (I only do it at aggressive turn ins), I've ridden my Boss's Street Bob and its nothing like that. When I'm grinding peg I usually have my knee down while I keep up with my buddies on their Crotch rockets at 50-80mph around the twisties. Linear power is not what this bike was designed for but I'm seeing 0-60 in the low 4's high 3's. Power wheelies of the line quite easily. Ducked I can bury the 120 mph speedometer. The major misconception of most Harley riders I run into is that it's a baby bike (749cc). Truth is this thing is not slow, with an experienced rider it's a true missile and would leave the majority of the Harley lineup in the dust, including the Sproster, Roadster 1200 (which I test rode the same day with the Street-rod and obviously I bought what I thought was the better bike), specifically in the twisties that require a good amount of technical technique... 750's have been around for a long while and Harley took one out of the Japanese deck by placing a revvy 8V liquid cooled modern engine in a modern frame with proper geometry and suspension. This thing is not a cruiser. It thump around good and can rack miles as good as any Harley but it's not like any other Harley out there.
i like the bike but ppl are complaining of intense heat from the engine specially right side of the thigh after just 15 mins of ride. please tell is it so. i dont want to be uncomfortable on this.
Harjot Singh I have yet to experience any heat issues with this bike... but my weather has been in the 60's as of recent. I wish I could be more helpful my friend.
Yes it does in the city if u get into shitty traffic! I live in London and after half an hour it can get really hot, however when I ride out and it gets up to normal speed(60-80mph) you can’t feel it!
Bad Ass Bro! I have had a few bike I've brought over 80K miles all were Japanese liter Standard bikes. This is my first Harley ever, I'll keep it for a couple of years and see where the mileage lies. Ride safe!
Thanks for the reply mate. I have never been a Harley fan, but I saw this bike the other day and it really caught my eyes. The price is reasonable, looks good, and sounds ok. My only concern is the reliability and service intervals of it. I am looking for a bike to keep it forever. Right now, my options are BMW F800R and this one. I am not sure if I am even allowed to ride a Harley as I don't have chopper's beard!!
This one was made in the Kansas City Missouri plant. This bike is making guys like me that ride Japanese bikes cross over. I find it to be a great blaster and in the right hands one of the most competent and competitive bikes in the twisty roads I've ridden ...
