@R&B Money Podcast, The Church of R&B Money had a spectacular service this morning. I’ma try to keep it short and sweet. Y’all continue to fulfill the needs of so much of what’s been missing in R&B, and we are forever indebted. My love offerings won’t ever be enough, in my eyes, for what y’all have done for my happiness, but I’m thankful beyond words. See y’all next week ❤ Always Giving what I didn’t even know I needed. 🥰
J Valentine you are definitely well versed.. from Top Boy to Jollof Rice!😂 Loved seeing our African & British🌍🇬🇧 cultures being represented so well by Harmony, he’s a true musical architect!
I am 66 years young, and I absolutely love your podcast!!! The warmth, the humor, the seasoned wisdom… Please keep up the good work!!! Every episode I learn something new, and in this negative world your positive podcast is a gift!!! Thank you so much!!👏👏👏
This episode showed me a few things, 1st I did not know who Harmony was but I instantly loved this brothers energy and sense of spiritual feeling. 2nd Infoumd that everyone needs an assist and J Valentine and Tank's heart for making sure everyone wins and putting the unknown in positions to win. This love is what the world need. Salute to each of you and God Bless you may brother s.
I went to school with Harmony’s girlfriend at the time, back in the 90s. We used to hang out as a group every now & again. Every girl wanted him & his girlfriend got so much hate. I saw him on tv the other day I was like waaaait. Isn’t that the guy I used to hang out with!?!? 😅 Loool I had no idea he went on to be this big thing either. He was cool back then & still seems cool now. I hollered on his insta & he was nice enough to have a lil convo with me. 😊
This is so wild to put a face to this song by Major. I was 45 yrs old and God blessed me to have another baby. (Yeah, it happens) lol My entire pregnancy, I sung this song to my baby in my stomach. When he was born anytime this song played he listened. He knew this song. Still till this day, be knows this song. I knew it was from God, about God bc it blessed me so. Absolutely amazing!! The stories he told and all the big hitters he worked with, Wowwww. Congratulations and Thank you for such an amazing ballad. It will be here for years and years to come. Well after we all are gone. R&B Money thank you for all the education. 💞
Tank & JV are the new Dynamic Duo. These interviews are insightful and entertaining. I'm glued to the screen, soaking up every word, every story, every single lesson learned. It's as if every episode is a testament to "we went through this so you don't have to". I wish these podcasts were a thing when I was young, lol. I'm a true fan of music--I listen to many genres. But R&B will always be my first love. The RNB Money Podcast has a breathtakingly different approach that keeps me engaged every second. People need to know how important R&B music is to the culture. Its impact and influence are EVERYWHERE, yet it seems to be dangerously under-appreciated. You two gents are amazing and I can't wait to watch the next interview. #RNBMONEY 💜🔥💜🔥💜🔥💜🔥💜🔥💜🔥💜🔥
Man I love this platform! Tank & Jay y’all energies are contagious & the intros get more funnier and funnier lol. I appreciate y’all guest selections, these pods are like history lessons, I appreciate listening and learning.. keep them coming 🙏🏾🙏🏾 #LuvfromNYC
I love Tank’s enthusiasm… & J’s reaction to it. 🤣 You guys are the best. Love your chemistry & how you all allow people to tell their stories. I also love how y’all handle female artists. It’s so endearing.
I’m 25 and grew up loving R&B music, influenced heavily by my family. I know a little more than half of the greats introduced on here but it’s always like a Christmas gift to learn about someone special I had no idea about. I truly look forward to these episodes ✨
Got introduced to Harmony Samuels when he produced 'Kele Kele Love' for Tiwa Savage from then on the man has been dropping hits! Nigeria to the world!!
Been a fan of Harmony Samuels since I was like 17 when he was producing and working with an R&B group from the UK called Fun'damental/FDM, which had the now talented songwriter Varren Wade as a member (who he briefly mentioned on the pod). To follow his career from then to now, see the success he has and hear his story in how things connected for him, it was written. Bravo to R&B Money Podcast for yet ANOTHER banger 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Wow he picked some of my favourite tunes. Joe, Jodeci, Michael, Stevie and Maxwell. All of them on my playlist. The UK R&b scene in those years was amazing 🎉🎉
Yo. ..never knew this man....I'm LOVING this man!!! His top 5 songs is something I haven't heard anyone say yet! What he know about Wherever, whenever, whatever??!! 👀💪🏾💜 Thank you for bringing the music people!! I'm such a music nerd, this show is like crack! 🤣🥰
And another one in the cannon. I'm ready to nominate this podcast for NAACP, whatever award, these are some of the best interviews of any podcast and I've been watching from epi 1🔥🔥🔥 R N B Moneey
Making the Band I was living in NYC at the time and often see these guys hanging out in Midtown Manhattan. I seen the choreographer that Puff hired many times while traveling thru the city lol. Good times in NYC memorable times met the best people ever🙏🏼🙏🏼
I had a feeling that I was doing myself a disservice by only listening to R&B Money Podcast on spotify because I thought I was missing MASSIVE segments !!! Thank GOODNESS I tuned in on YT because I need to relisten to previous episodes to make sure I don't miss anything! AHHHHH, one of my favorite episodes for sure. I can't encompass the amount of gratitude & joy that I have while listening to this podcast. Literally one of the highlights & things I look forward to during my commutes to & from work, and on days where I'm feeling down and need good vibes. Thank y'll!
@RnBMoney Don’t miss! If you’re a dreamer/faith walker, this podcast is for you. So inspiring! I love how you big up and encourage the women in the game. This episode was another example. Sister is killing with the blue hair too - gorgeous! Thank y’all for making my Saturdays sweet. So inspirational and feel good content! 💙🦋🤗
As a Philly representative I had to go listen to GoGo as soon as she said Philly lol. One thing Philly is going to do is r&b and soul and she has the voice to do anything she wants. Got a new supporter here
What I appreciate the most is that everyone has had a positive interaction with Tank & J off rip. Big names to up & coming & I think that speaks volumes to their character & humility. Big ups to y’all man fr.
I’m from Philly and I attended MU, and I am so happy to see GoGo on this platform! I’ve been watching from afar for over a decade. I’m so happy that she’s getting the recognition she deserves. Wishfully hoping for a Bella appearance on the project. Congratulations on all of your future success 💙💙💙
I'm amazed at how many people didn't see the gift that is MAJOR! He is phenomenal!!! This episode has been incredible and once again Joe is getting his much deserved flowers.
Discovered Harmony "H-Money" Samuels thanks to Tiwa Savage. That Kele Kele jam is the genesis. And big S/O to Rodney Jerkins for taking him under his wings and DMile too, that camp must've been amazing because the talent between these two is ridiculous.
I genuinely enjoyed Harmony’s story and the gems and jewels but I feel blessed to watch you brothers experience such joy with each other. Love the smiles! Love the podcast!❤
probably one of the best top 5 lists for me. That section of the All The Things Your Man Won't Do they were talking about takes me to another world each and every time I hear it.
When you hear H-Money!!! On a song. You know it's a hit. Regardless of whomever the artist is. The great thing is he has produced for many talents and he from North London. First came across him because of another North London artist he produces for and that is Chip and it is amazing that he now has worked with the Queen of Pop aka Queen of Rhythm Nation aka Janet Jackson aka Ms Jackson if ya nasty. Glad to see him on this podcast and get recognition he deserves.
Again, thank you for guests recognizing the beauty of Stevie's If It's Magic...again do yourself a favor and see it performed by the Alvin Ailey dancers. It will leave you breathless!
I deeply appreciate J Valentine's perspective and ALWAYS reppin' the Bay, as a Bay Area native, wow. I commented earlier, but seriously, one of my FAVORITE episodes. Amazing, thank y'll so much for this gem!!
My favorite songs by H Money are those on Kierra Sheard's last album "Kierra". They're so beautifully and sonically pleasing to the ear. Yet again, thanks for giving shine to the people behind the art. It's so necessary for us to appreciate both the art as well as the full spectrum of artists that touch it to make them masterpieces.
Just one thing: Five Star should always be mentioned in conversations about Black British R&B artists. They looked like the British Jacksons, and their music stayed on the radio in the '80s. They were a force and they didn't get to reach their potential here in the states because of people's shortsightedness (not a real word but it feels right here). *All Fall Down *Let Me be the One *Love Take Over *RSVP *System Addict They did that.
The R&B songs need to be a playlist that keeps getting added as each series goes, I have been playing this Stevie Wonder Song if it’s Magic nonstop since I heard it on the podcast
"Well I dont like your bravado. Your legs crossed. You naming very nice songs" 😂😂😂😂💀Tank. That took me down because it's all true. This were elite Top 5 list he gave.
Another great podcast episode!! I never heard of Harmony Samuel but I will never forget him or this episode! I will definitely go listen to his music and his new artist GoGo Morrow! I hope that he will circle back to help Jordin Spark's career! She is so deserving of a hit song right about now!
Man this man been making some of my favorite song and I didn't even know him . Thanks R and B Money for bringing The artist from behind the scenes H MONEY ANOTHER 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 EPISODE.
This was a great episode. I love how y’all bring in the producers and songwriters that make the business because I don’t know a lot of this people, just their work once I look them up. I’d love an episode where J. Valentine talks about his upbringing in the music game like Tank had!
The amount of people I put on to Rotimi because walk with me album was played daily on my Playlist...also I just want to say I appreciate this podcast I learn so much and so many things make sense. That voltron is 🔥
CB’s 2011 F.A.M.E album webisodes introduced me to Harms and those three records he produced changed EVERYTHING. Now we get to hear him tell his entire story in 2023, full circle moment.🏆
Absolutely love this!!! Definitely the show I didn't know I needed in my life. I have learned so much history and also have added some great songs back into the playlist. I now have 30-plus episodes to catch up on. Definitely looking forward to it. PS Just discovered Major - Whole World In His Hands. Amazing!!!
ANOTHER BANGER - enjoyed Harms energy and story telling - quite often while watching I'll pause the the video and look up the tunes and credits on my music streaming service as my old self don't know the song when the titles r mentioned - this time was to hear the " Grime and Garage genres " - as a former writer I appreciate the exposure to other styles of music. Afrobeats being my current favorite genre, good to see Harm using his gift in that arena as well. So many talented cats doing it big. Thanks again for what you 2 are doing. Chronicling Educating. I hope the up and comers are watching / anyone ever put in their top 5 songs "LOVES HOLIDAY" by EWF? that song is special. One if the best intros.
Love this segment. Hard to stop listening. Our people Afro background are so genius; so resilant💪🏾True tough skin with faith🙏🏽Much respect and good success to you, Tank and J Many blessings. Stay humble❤
I am and have always been in love with R&B and this Podcast makes love to my soul. I appreciate all of the great people that have been on. I cannot wait for Donnell Jones, Musiq Soulchild, Ro James, Brandy, H.E.R, Nivea, and many many more. I want to try the Tequila too. ❤
