Harnds Assassin Knife Review
The Harnds Assassin CK9171 is a big and slender knife with a ton of value. With it's G10 scales, the Harnds Assassin pocket knife has a blade length of about 3.8 inches or 9.6 cm. Although the Harnds Assassin 9171 looks like a large gents knife, it actually has the weight of a much smaller one at 3.83 ounces or 108.6 grams. The Harnds Assassin flipper deploys fairly quick thanks to the ceramic ball-bearing pivot. The strong detent also aids with deployment of the Harnds CK9171 Assassin blade, which utilizes 14c28n Sandvik steel.

Love everything about it, I’m a big fan of 14c28n, definitely my favorite budget steel. That’s a good work around for no pocket clip (that blows my mind though, lol). Thanks for sharing!

Your'e scaring me Jay with the gloves, nylon head sleeve and the sunglasses.......A true assassin indeed!..... I might buy it as a fidget flipper. I wish it had micarta scales, pocket lip, and a stonewashed blade, the blade steel is fine with me....nice color combo on that model. Looks comparable in size to the ZT0452.... well done and thanks!

I bought the black Assassin and have not carried it due to the lack of pocket clip. Thanks for the idea for a holster. I might be able to modify one of my soft sided magazine holsters.

Even at that price probably not a good pick for me, I’m saving my pennies for a Wicked Edge go...I’m not sure if you’ve done a video on it yet but I’d love to hear what you have to say about guided knife sharpeners..Would also love to know what you personally use to sharpen your knives

About to order the updated version, it was either this or the crkt ceo. The deal breaker for me was the flipper and the tip up carry. Was looking for a slim edc knife, nice review sir

I have bigger then XL hand but would like to see that in a 3” model. The competition is fierce nowadays. I’m having trouble selling knives cause of all the choices. My last on a whim purchase was a SW Resident in store. It seemed like a deal at $85 with titanium/CF, D2 (not really a fan of D2). Nice knife but the earlier ones had weak detents and loosening pivots. Mines pretty much perfect but theses damn knife cos should be making captured pivots for the money they charge. Good review as always

That is a good size knife. Wish blade was bigger. Great weight. 1 I will have to put on list to try. No pocket clip is a bummer but like you said there are workarounds.

Under the scales there's a pillar with screws on each side that free turns unless you have 2 screwdrivers. Probably my only gripe. I can't take it apart until I get another bit.

Aw man, don't you just hate when that happens. Some manufacturers include a little Torx tool that's threaded for a #6 and #8. Not sure if they still do, but those Honey Badger knives came with one. I agree, it doesn't fit the name at all. One of the things they did do right is the price, very smart. No one will pay $40+ for this and Harnds came to terms with that right outta the gate. Thanks for watching Power play.

I have this same knife and I was disappointed with it in 3 aspects: 1. its locking lining is very soft, the steel of the locking line has only 48 on the HRC scale, which makes it soft to close (disengage), but at the same time makes it weaker in harder use. 2. The black coating on the blade is made of a "sticky" material, which makes it a little bad at slicing things. 3. The factory sharpening is very bad.
