I need an O_c module stat! Thank you for this awesome tutorial. The SWN has an arpeggiator mode but this gives you better control over making chords than using the spread control.
Glad you found it helpful! I really like the arp mode on the SWN (and have been playing around with it a lot). Harrington + spread mode on the SWN is a killer combo
I’ve just bought a uO_C (and recently sold my SWN, but no matter) and am finding this series invaluable. I’d had the idea of semi-random triggers from Pam’s before you mentioned it, so my brain must’ve attuned to the H1200 concept faster that it did Quantermain!
GREAT ! Super clear and usefull tutorial. I am a big O & C fan and use it a lot (mainly Piqued, Quantermain and CopierMaschine) but still this video helps me further, as I have not been using Harrinton 1200 much till now. But this will certainly change as results of this video.

Thanks for this. I'm looking to use more chords in my tunes but can't afford to use 3 or 4 oscillators doing so! Is it possible to run the chord outputs to something like the microfreak (paraphonic) with a cv to midi converter?

Yes it does, "standard" firmware comes with 13 'apps' built in which I cover in these videos. Because it's open-source in design others have developed alternate firmware images for it. You load these using a USB cable - I show how to do that in my Hemispheres tutorial video in this series. Different firmware provide new apps, or a whole new way of using the O_C
question about that Decca. I got one awhile back after seeing this video; but I notice the push buttons "bounce" a lot of the time. Meaning they will trigger twice. Do yours also do this?

Hi - yes Pams is perfect for gates/triggers. It is one of the most common uses for it. Lots of videos explain it, and the manual covers it in great detail too
You can choose gate types on Pams, for example there is a mode to fire a trigger once only, or open a gate and keep it high for the duration of playing. If you want the gate to remain open for a vaiable amount of time map the Width parameter to CV1 and modulate it with a CV into CV1
Great video....but...as a total noob who's just built o_c and doesn't have any experience of pams/SWN/whatever that other module is, it's kinda hard to follow what is actually happening.
