Oh could we outlaw the concept of "out of network" medical providers. This pisses me off so much I can't do physical therapy at the place around the corner because it's not "in network"
So you force all doctors (most of whom are operating small businesses, though admittedly lucrative ones) to accept the rates of insurance companies? They gouge the consumer and the doctor, otherwise the doctors would accept it. Only even remotely conscionable with single-payer system, but that would force all doctors to be government employees to some extent, which seems weird? But maybe it isn’t! I’m just a dude.
@@f0rdgamer no, you force insurance companies to fully cover medical procedures at a reasonable rate for all providers instead of striking deals with big networks that screw over Doctors and patients. This is a ban on insurances forming networks, not on doctors accepting insurance.
@@f0rdgamer also what about making doctors government employees would be *inherently* bad? 🤔 unless it's because you have preconceived notions that the government is inherently bad and corporations are inherently better--which is just kinda strange to me. Like maybe medicine shouldn't have a profit motive? That seems fundamentally weird actually doesn't it, making a profit off of sick people?
@f0rdgamer it doesn't force doctors to be govt employees. That's one way you can do it among many. Govt can set prices for services, which is common in professional services anyway, e.g. an hour for this task that a lawyer would do can be charged $x. With the govt paying those prices. Doctors would still be able to operate as private businesses alongside a public hospital system.
That would never happen in our for profit capitalist driving medical system. I had to go to a dentist that was local but was out of network so yeah I get it.
“landlords can’t afford to rent out the apartments…” wtf is this fox news dude saying?? besides some basic maintenance costs nobody is LOSING any money by renting out an apartment. and also the whole point is we shouldn’t have a mostly rental based system, people should be able to own apartments easily if they want to, with rental being an option for people temporarily living somewhere or not wanting to settle down yet.
no landlords mostly use you to pay off their mortgage and get money on top, if they talk about loosing money it's usually the landlords either not making money as well as you paying their mortgage or them having to pay a bit of their mortgage
Realtors are mad because they wanted to make money by holding empty apartments for MONTHS in the hopes that the market becomes awful enough that people are forced to pay high prices for rent. They could have just been making money this entire time but keeping rents affordable. But that's not *enough* money for them
what about abandoned homes? I had this idea for awhile. I totally get that maybe not every home can be fixed up BUT I feel like there is still plenty of homes that could be fixed up for people to live in.
There are about 2 office buildings PER YEAR being converted to residential properties, in the entire United States. The events of 2020 have not made this statistic budge even slightly.
@@andrewkoster6506 i just think there is still not enough being done regardless. Especially with the homeless population and the amount of homes that are abandoned.
@@stealthyrebellion That's my point. Office usage has dropped dramatically since 2020, but these commercial property owners are trying to monetize office space that no companies can even use. It should be put toward housing.
In a lot of the former ussr families owned two homes. One was for working and near the city and the other was further away from the city and they would use as a place to summer vacation and have their wives go and grow food. Commie blocks look wild on the outside but a lot of them are great inside. The only things they don’t have as much are bathtubs.
probably cuz Harris is signaling willingness to talk to pro-palestinian groups.Hopefully she speaks more forcefully how Netanyahu and Israel are the hurdles to peace in Gaza and a recognition that apartheid has been happening for over a century.
One thing that some of the people in his chat seem to not understand is that when Hasan talks about the poorest people, he's almost 99% not talking about his chat. If the people there can afford to spend hours listening to him talking, chance are they are not the people who needs government housing anyways, and while they will be helped by the social issues he talks about, they are not the main group of people that NEEDS that help the most.
Council housing in England is terrible. Alot dont have working toilets. Its a good idea, but its been executed terribly. Still better than being homeless though
They were great, especially in certain parts of the country. Sadly the pool of council houses was never replenished after right to buy and many have since become privately rented properties
running with Biden is fine. Most people aren't terminally online single issue gaza voters. Most people like Biden, they just thought he was too old to serve another term.
As a vet I'm not a hog I a agree with Hassan on a lot of his points however the first time I heard trump should be president (it was 2013) it was a sgt in the army. So make of that what you Will.
Military bases have the base exchange stores, I agree not bad idea to have government buy out food chain, easier to control food prices and supply demand. TrumpThe weirdo has cereal he’s selling 😂didn’t see it on his display. He cannot covey his message about economy so he brings out his presentation. Pandemic was good example of price gouging. With climate change, and misinformation of diseases amongst agricultural and energy and fuel industries have caused price inflation
This election cycle is gonna turn me into a hater lmao this mf gets criticized for being a tankie but if he just got on here and did 8 hours of Stalin apologia it would be preferable to this stream of literal Democratic Party talking points. Bro said “bold and radical economic policy” about Biden I can’t
Relative to where America stands he is saying ‘radical things’ because the last 8 years have broken too many brains and when some Fox talking head says ‘commie’ all the magats nod their heads like Pavlov’s dinguses regardless of the fact that these policies would benefit them personally.
Being pro union was litterly not a thing for US policy for 30 years. It’s pretty radical compared to the previous status quo. Go talk about ‘real’ radical action on twitter while sitting on your ass all day to show them libs, you performative get nothing done lefties are the worst
