You have 4 girls in your family and are okay with them showering, being in a locker room with boys? Assuming they are in school. That’s the Biden administration policy effective Aug 1st. A responsible parent would be wary of anyone that would let a teacher/janitor or boy student share private space with their girls. Lots of us were in all the way with Biden, and while I fully back Kamala and know her strengths, I feel no need to belittle Biden’s many accomplishments in his time in the Oval Office either.

@KatrinaRaven I’m sure Dems are ready to get behind Harris and back her to the hilt in defeating that wannabe authoritarian Trump. But until a couple of days ago many many of us, including Harris, were standing behind Biden whole heartedly. It doesn’t help motivate us at least not me, to hear him called by Trump’s malicious nicknames by people who are supposed to be on the same side as us calling Biden by those unkind jabs.

Kamala is a *much* better candidate or will be if she just works on her stump skills a bit and stays authentic. She has none of the obvious downsides and weaknesses that Clinton did. I think she AND Gretchen Whitmer could win this thing handily.

I totally agree and want to share that with my 85 yr old Mom. My Nana was a lifelong Dem volunteer. She started taking my Mom to campaign offices to help when my Mom was just 7 yrs old. My Nana passed almost 20 yrs ago now, but I know she would be so excited to get to work on this race. I look forward to honoring her memory by doing the same with my Mom. 😀

That sums it up quite nicely, thank you. Nothing is guaranteed, but there is genuine reason to be hopeful now. If we all pull in the same direction and not get distracted by what the trumpists throw at us, we can defeat the fascist threat they pose. Kamala CAN lead that movement.

So there are three more things I would like to see from Joe Biden in his remaining time as president 1. I would like to see him give an historic speech at the Democratic Convention. showing everybody he's still got it, and remind the country what a good job he did for all Americans. 2. I would like to see him appoint a new Justice to the Supreme Court, while Thomas rides off into the sunset with Ginnie by his side in his little Winnebago looking for the next Walmart parking lot to spend the night in. 3. and finally I want to see him pass the torch on January 20th 2025 , the way all the decent presidents before did, except for number 45 . And I hope it will be to President Harris .
I would like him to. 1. Rescind Title IX changes he signed and jail the Secretary of Education for sexually endangering every school age girl in America. 2. Many other things he could do but none are more important than protecting children from predators.
