Harry Hill in his earliest live stand-up VHS release, recorded in 1995 at the Palace Theatre in London town. If this ever becomes available on DVD somebody let me know and i'll take it down!
Harry was a genius as a stand-up - a wild and unpredictable routine, but held together with great jokes and intelligence. Not many like him - what are the chances!
My first experience of Harry Hill was a gig in Bradford during the 1990s. I've never laughed so much in my life. I knew i was in the presence of genius that night.
It's like he's taking the piss out of 'observational comedy' in six different ways simultaneously 🤣 but somehow he manages to do it with complete warmth, and a dedication to bending the audiences minds until they're all on his bonkers wavelegnth! - Rarely if ever before has such an intelligent man had *such* an unwavering dedication to all-out complete silliness! 💖 it's quite an extreme and strange act, at first impression, but once you *get* what mischief he's up to, you can't help but love him for it!
Absolute legend. Usually more into scripted comedy sketches or sitcoms, rather than stand up. Sometimes stand up feels a bit too egotistical and ranty (and boring) but Harry Hill just has ridiculous fun. Love it. Also I am quite drunk so may not be expressing myself... hmm hmm Park Life!
This man was a professional doctor (GP) before comedy! He kept actual patients alive! 🤣 .....I think in this show, he's exorcising all those bleak YEARS of excessive sensibleness and having to have 'reasonable thoughts' every day, lol (For me he's up there with (the equally absurd & far-out) Bob Mortimer: Just in terms of sheer loveliness of character, you can't help but love the fella!)
He did once, but then he noticed on a daily basis that it was taking longer and longer to wash his face. Flannels weren't lasting as long as they should... he was going through 3 bars of soap a week...
Harrys humour is humour for 5 year olds. He got great natural flow on that mic though. If he wrote some material that made sense then he could actually be FUNNY. He is a lovely bloke but he nothing compared to the brilliant Roy Chubby Brown. Like I said, Harry writes humour for 5 year olds. Bless him for trying.
Roy Chubby Brown's humour is humour for racist 50 year olds. He got an annoying voice on that mic though. If he wrote some material that wasn't offensive he could actually be FUNNY. He is a horrendous human but he nothing compared to the brilliant Harry Hill. Like I said, Roy writes humour for racist 50 year olds. Bless him for trying.
