One of the best, if not thee best. Brilliant mick Miller. Just goes to show you Don,t need to swear every sentence to be really funny. Well done mick. Top gags
Jimmy Cricket is also one of the last of a generation of true comedians still doing the rounds..thank goodness we have footage of them. Mick makes me laugh so much. great delivery..
Mick was one of THE best ever. Bernard Manning was just the greatest joke teller I have ever seen. Went to The embassy Club twice when I went to Manchester , and they were two of the best nights I have ever had. It's A shame The World has gone paranoid. These days I truly miss , and I'm grateful that I saw a lot of these guys in pubs and clubs. There were all kinds of people at these places. All colours and creeds were all laughing at these jokes. But then again these people weren't obsessed with things that went on 500 years ago. We were all mates having a drink and having a laugh. These Joke Tellers made your day. Bring those Days Back. NOW !
Check out George Carlin "it's bad for ya" , his last stand up at 70 years old, the audience are literally laughing or applauding every 5-10 seconds, the man was a genius.
@@flickingbollocks5542 Seriously, you are as demented as his statement, where, in his comment do you see the words "one of".....? I gave his comment a "like" because the sentiment is warm and kind. Why you're "yelling" I'm not sure, but it's hilarious.
@@flickingbollocks5542 I'll walk you through his post : "Mick is possibly the most underrated comedians we have" Where, in your tripping balls perception do you see the words "ONE OF"...? I take it that your use of UPPER CASE LETTERS is supposed to imply that you are "yelling" your comment out on the Internet... That's kind of a kicker "innit", not only are you making sh*t up that isn't real, but you are "akshually" broadcasting it as "loudly" as you can.......
I remember being in Blackpool with my girlfriend and wondered into a Pub and this man had just started his act. That was the funniest hour and a half i can remember!!!! Absolute legend.
@@thert.hon.thelordnicholson7261 Does it? Why is that then? He's out with his girlfriend, having a good time with drinks while listening to a great comedian. You however, spend your down time commenting on 2 year old posts
@@TraitorFelon.14.3 Okay, he swore once or twice, but the swears had meaning to the joke, instead of swearing for the sake of swearing. That's the difference between old school comedians & modern-day comedians that feel they need to use profanity to be "funny".
Mick Miller ... what a genius. A great old time comedian that never ages. A true one line flow of gags that never dates. Absolutely superb. No modern comedian can get near to this standard.
jwgeezer There are still some great old-style comedians on the scene. They're just not on the telly. Mostly because they're not young, pretty and self-packaged with an attractive bow for the BBC. Check out Gary Little, Mike Bubbins, Steve Gribbin and especially John Fothergill. Their RU-vid content is mostly shite because they're not famous enough to have the necessary production crew - but most of them have been on TV in different countries around the world - watch them live and you'll piss yourself. 😊
I remember getting to know Mick Miller when I worked as Head Chef at The Queensway St Anne’s he was a friend of Frank Conway who was the then Manager. Mick Miller treated everyone with respect a good person and down to earth I’ll never forget him. A talented Comedian one of The Greats.
Yeah, it just takes you to see the crappy comedians this day and age to realise how good the greats were, just like Mick Miller, Benny Hill, Billy Pearce, Bernard Manning, Johnny Casson, Freddie Starr, Stan Boardman, Frank Carson, etc etc, many of them very under rated in their time, but a million percent funnier than the rubbish this day and age!
Brilliant comedian. He wipes the floor with the numptys that we see on tv today. In actual fact we don't have comedians anymore but professional conmen and women who would be thrown on the scrap heap after their first show.

I sat through five minutes of newish 'comedian' Josh Widdicombe on TV last weekend and felt embarrassed for him - and he's not the only one. TV is currently swamped with mediocre midddle-class BBC-friendly fucking drips who couldn't make me laugh if they pumped me full of nitrous oxide. Only through RU-vid can you watch old-school, genuine funnymen like Mick Miller these days and it's such a tonic - I'd almost forgotten how good it feels to have a proper belly-laugh to a REAL comic.
I am gobsmacked ! I love comedians and greedily watch about an hour every day . I know them all. But I didn't know Mick Miller ! He is a Master Class of content and delivery. Mick I hope you read these comments . Good on you mate 👍🤣🤣🤣
MrDavey2010 What you say is spot on, trouble is I don't know of any comedians??? on tv today. Also what they call music??? as well shouldn't see the light of day on a tv channel cause it's absolute shite.
+mohammad davoudian Yep I first saw the dvd in poundland and thought WHAT A SCOOOOP...lol...he is great..there were a few more I uploaded a couple but I cant find the rest :( You're right - his timing is great and the faces he pulls are hilarious
Mick is just so funny, unexpected punch-lines,brilliantly delivered...and his dead-pan look, just brilliant..he is one of the old school entertainers...a laugh at the end of every line..
There are many different types of comedy. One liners are not the be all and end all. When done well it can be great, but not everyone can do it well, it doesn't mean they aren't a good comedian. They just might not be to your liking.
@@VestigialHead there are no decent comics now bloody awful..the last of the bunch we had was probably peter kay and lee evans....u got all these namby pamby ones now russel kane josh widdecombe..god knows how many female ones who aint funny in the slightest..if you aint jo brand or joan rivers get off the stage
@@robevans5507 Your statement is completely incorrect. You are generalising on something that is relative and personal. What you may mean to say is that YOU do not like modern comics. Saying there are no decent comics is an absolute statement that is completely incorrect. Seeing humour is in the eye of the beholder all that is required to show your statement as fallacious is for one person somewhere to think a modern comic is decent. Seeing there are Billions of people that think modern comics are decent and hilarious your statement is wrong and pointless. As for Namby Pamby you are either very sheltered and have not viewed many modern comics or are trying to misdirect for some reason. Modern comics are far far less namby pamby than the comics of my youth - 1970's. We have way more comics pushing the envelope of hardcore adults only outrageous material than ever before. Look at Louis CK, Frankie Boyle, Jimmy Carr, Ricky Gervais, Sarah Silverman, Russel Brand etc etc I could go on for ages. The comics of the past were much more restrained. This was mostly because they had to be or they would not get gigs or get ostracised by wowsers and religious zealots.
@@VestigialHead boyle and carr are from a few years ago but are good to be fair...russell brand just gets on my tits im sorry just waffles on about nothing he really isnt funny up his own arse talking politics nonsense and god etc & russel howard is another one id include in the (trys to be funny) category but fails miserably ...sarah millican is good shes prob the only female since jo brand ive listened to ....oldskool is best skool in my opinion your freddie starrs, ken dodd, lee evans, peter kay,jo brand..julian clary,chubs..les dawson...one and only tommy cooper.. not one person today could lace the boots of those comedians its why nobody knows who the hell they are when they come on shows like the apollo & royal variety performance etc etc
I’ve watched this vid dozens of times and still laugh out loud every time! Mick is a true master of comedy and the art of timing! As someone commented…no foul language, yet absolutely hilarious! Mick should be in the Comedy Greats Hall of Fame!
Fantastic comedian ! One of a kind. Current so called comedians fall well short of Mick's comic magic.I guess the agents get them on any quiz and panel show to keep them in the public eye. Mick has learned and then honed his craft which takes years. Top class Mick !
Some of the jokes may be old but I still roll at his delivery. He's like a skilled angler...lures you... into a place of security then catches you. His timing is first class. Old school stand-up. Maybe the last of a PC-Culled breed? Let's see. I don't care how PC the world tries to force upon me: I will resist their brainwashing nonsense. Are you with me?
Absolutely brilliant. It's great to be reminded what a decent comedian Mick Miller is No swear words, not like the dross pretending to be comedians today.
Mick was my favourite stand up comedian back in the day. No frills, no props, no vocal tricks or anything else to try adding to the comedy element. Nope, Mick is just a simple and straightforward very funny guy
His facial expressions and gestures as he tells stories are genius Mick is an absolute master of his craft and his noddy routine is still an absolute hoot
I'm 47 years old I so wish Mick Miller was back on tour I love this Guys Humour so much I watched him as a kid on Saturday night tv and it shows the old jokes are the best and the humour and piss-take were always laughed at. The youngsters of today need a lesson in Good old comedy maybe the snowflakes would learn a thing or two
This is superb. Haven't laughed so much at a stand-up for years. I do watch modern stand-ups, and some are very good, but there are dozens of brilliant one-liners here I've never heard before. Mick Miller needs to be back on the TV. This man has outstanding delivery. A true master of his craft.
It just doesn't come any better than this. Acting drunk is one of the most difficult things to do, but Mick Miller has dot it down to a 'T.' He is brilliant at making people laugh and, remember, "laughter is the BEST medicine."
Very, VERY funny! I love that slightly world weary deadpan delivery that you only get with a working class comic. Working class comics like Mick Miller and Les Dawson are so deceptively talented. To get up there and sound conversational, sometimes half the laugh is in their timing. Brilliant.
@Richard Percival it's a sin how Bernard Manning was scapegoated for an attitude that was prevalent at the time. He was one of the quickest wits in the business, and his merciless treatment of hecklers was phenomenal.
Absolutely brilliant. What a breath of fresh air from a man who is a true comic. I was searching for Mick Miller for years, even asking mates was he still with us. Imagine my joy when this popped up. Don,t know what year it is , but an absolute masterclass. Give these over-rehearsed smart ass college girls and boys the heave ho! I haven,t watched Live at The Apollo for years now. it,s just "how smart am I fest" . As for Mock the Week, Jesus Christ , it, s unwatchable now and embarrassing . So weak and self serving. I say to these people, go and do your quirky wee one off dramas. That,s , after all, what you all want to be isn,t it. ACTORS! So go and act FFS! Bravo Mick. Bravo
100% true, wtf is with that Michael McIntyre and Russel Howard definitely not funny at all should not even be classed as comedians. theres loads i can think of but i dont know their names lol thats how funny they are.
This popped up in my recommendations. Never heard of this guy in my life. I see the clip is 40 minutes long. I see the awful intro and the look of this bloke and thought 'the RU-vid algorithm has had a stroke', but I gave it a chance. I watched the whole thing through and almost didn't stop laughing. This guy is the king of one-liners!
