Really interesting video, thank you Scott. Such a shame family members declined his wife to be laid to rest with him because of their different religions. So sad that people think that way
This was such a cool video about Houdini Scotty. I loved it. Read about him and his work but it felt rather special looking at the different locations with you. Looking at his photos I always felt that I liked him and i think he had a kind and gentle face. Maybe when you are in New York next time you could visit his grave. It will be a nice tribute to him. Thank you Scotty. Safe travels. Take care. Lots of love from all of us.❤️✌🏼🙏🏼💕
@@SCOTTONTAPE No sir they sold it to the School 1980s. Business was still operating in Birmingam until my Cousins Death. Look up William R. Co. Started in 1870s and served Detroits most prominent.
Love watching your vlogs, as it's places I know I will never get to see/visit in my lifetime, and also love how you tell their stories/lifestyle... So informative, yet beautifully documented. It's said that Houdini's wife gave away a lot of his things after he passed away, and didn't keep it or donate it to museums for future generations to be able to see. But I suppose grief/anger whatever the emotion does a lot of different things to people at the time and I doubt she knew how popular he would still be in the future. But thank you for always bringing interesting places, facts and respect (and sometimes fun or heart-felt emotion where needed) to all those lives that you document. Always fascinating to watch and learn about these people, and see places they were at. Much love to you n yours Scott. Xx
Harry Houdini's grave site is in terrible condition, all overgrown and just uncared for IMO. Such a shame really. Loving the vids 😄 Forgot to mention Happy Halloween🎃👹👺👻👹👺👻
Im Hungarian and Houidini was born in Hungary, Budapest. I know the house from outside, where he lived and imigrant from that house into the USA! Best regards,
The one building looks like was abandoned, The one that was beside the funeral home. It would have been nice that they kept the buildings the way they were back in the day
He was placed in his bronze prop coffin at the Hamilton funeral home and shipped via train back to NY. My family still has all the stories of all the famous people they buried.
I imagine a lot of important people in the Detroit area went through that funeral home. I wonder why it has not been reused or remodeled. Thanks. See you later.
