Thank you all for watching this video, Chek out my other Harry Potter and the Chamber of secrets PS2 vs GameCube video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1O6v7ZTmeW4.html
So looks like the PS2 version has better lighting, shadows and textures but the gamecube has better load times, more engaging cutscenes and improved 3rd person perspective... seems to be the pros and cons cancel each other out so just comes down to personal preference
I'd like to say... - The PS2 Version is Graphically better due to a better Hardware design, Plus the capabilities between the two are as follows. - PS2 - Better graphics, better Shadows and Gameplay. Load times were awful, But Worth it for it's generation. Gameplay is very different and offers more "FreeRoam" - Game Cube - The Game Cube version in my opinion is the most Nostalgic. Graphics weren't as great and very blocky. Textures were missing and Load times are better and Cutscenes are more personalized and Fixed. Gameplay is straight forward and graphical declined, But Optimized a lot better than the PS2 due to it's graphical output. -Opinions- I love this game overall, and I play it frequently in my Spare time. My verdict who wins? GameCube, As much as I loved the PS2 version, I hand the trophy to Game Cube. Load times were better and playing on the Gamecube felt more unique and rare. Load times were superior and honestly, I think the Original version of this game designed. PS2 isn't a Slouch either, But trading for performance and playability for Load times, PlayStation 2 Was infamous for their ridiculous loading times. But, graphical improvements are suggested.
@@YYYZZZ-sk3mf I also agree with OP, Gamecube version is overall better and more enjoyable to play. PS2 version felt like a drag to play in comparison.
I like how the sorcerers/philosophers stone graphics look exactly the same for GameCube Xbox and PlayStation2 but chamber of secrets the Xbox and GameCube versions are not that good they should’ve just made it just like PS2
2 reasons i love the ps2 version. The sound design is completely different. For example, the footsteps. Much better in the ps2 version. Some sounds get drowned out in the gamecube version. And the last reason is the free roaming. That being said I do prefer the look of the gamecube version. Its not so much about who has better graphics but rather the style. And the style of the gamecube version appeals to me more. For example the great hall. Completely different feeling and coloring. PS2 is more orange and yellow where the gamecube great hall is kinda purple. Its pretty cool looking.
After playing both, PS2 feels like a downgrade tbh. Gamecube version is much smoother and more enjoyable to play. PS2 just feels "muddy" in comparison, like you have to slog through it, whereas the GC version is smooth and fun.
Whilst Gamecube has smoother animations and better animated cutscenes for the most part, the PS2 version (which I've got), besides having better animations at 1:04, is more user friendly since it's got a better camera in the platforming and stealth sections, and like what people said, you can't even explore in the Gamecube version. I also never got how at 0:43 Harry's eyes stay in that awkward half-closed/half-opened state for like a second in the PS2 version, maybe an animation error?🤨
