These are all great tips, especially the one about bringing a bag with Harry Potter items to not spend so much at the gift shop. I will definitely be doing that. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing! I am going to London in July with my 2 daughters. We are all huge Harry Potter fans. Both daughters (and I) have read all the books, seen all the moves (more times than I can count), and we have season passes to Universal Studios (we live in Orlando) and go to the Harry Potter sections pretty much every week. I'm about to book our tickets (times are available on the days we are there), and this is very helpful.

Thanks for the great tips, especially the part on tube and green screen video. Also to add one thing, the online shop and shop at King’s cross station (just went in early Aug) have many items out of stock, so the studio shop is the last chance. I will go there in Oct.

Wouah, thank you so much for all these amazing tips. I'm planning on visiting the studios in a few months, so all of this is really helpful!! Just one question: if I have my ticket on my phone, is there a chance to trade it for a printed ticket? Like the ones with a character on it? A few years ago I read that it was possible, but now I'm not sure.

Hi! Great video, thanks for all the informations. Just a few questions. The passport and the photos and green screen videos that you mentiond, are part of the ticket or you need to pay for it plus?

Hi there, the passport was free but the photos of the broomstick ride and the green screen video were extra (you are given a link and you can download it later). I don’t remember exactly how much I spent but I think it was around £50 from memory. We did it for her brother a few years ago so we felt we had to!!

Tq for the tips! Planning to go there in 2 weeks time. How much does it cost you and when is the last shuttle to the train?

You’re welcome! The shuttle bus was free but I don’t know the times. I’m sure they’ll be on the website so you can plan your day. Have an amazing time!! ☺️

I think I'd just buy the tankard sans drink. Does the hot chocolate cup come as a souvenir cup?

The hot chocolate came in a disposable cup. The Butterbeer comes with a souvenir tankard. You can buy tankards (and other mugs) without the drinks in the gift shop at Platform 9 3/4 and at the big gift shop 😊

Hello! Unfortunately i had to book for us three one ticket at another time of the day (90 Minutes later). They told us, we could join later after the great hall. Is that correct? The guided part of the tour ends after the great hall and from there on you can explore the studios yourself unguided?

Yes after the Great Hall you are on your own so can move at your own pace. If it’s quiet they may let the other person through with you so it’s worth asking the person at the queue entrance for the tour. They let us in 30 mins earlier. Have an amazing time!!

@@LivinganOrganisedLife Thanks a lot. They told me too, that until the exit of the great hall it is a one way. After that you can explore the rest on your own and also go back to the exit of the great hall?

Yes you can go back and forth as much as you like after the Great Hall in whatever direction. It’s nice to hold back and wait until the crowds move on so you can read everything. Have a fantastic time!! Xx

Thanks for your quick answers. The tip with the picnic is very helpful! I thought it was forbidden to bring own food and drink.

Hi Jane, that will be lovely as you’ll be able to spend as long as you like reading everything! As for tips, take a decent sized rucksack for your things and definitely get the audio guide. Have a good time 😊
