Another cadet at the London Gliding Club, Harry, was due to do his spinning training in order to become solo in the near future. During his flight he successfully recovered from many spins and stalls in a flight that lasted around 25 minutes.
Before the spinning could start a 4000' aerotow was necessary. This actually took twice as long as the spinning itself!

Don't want to be critical, but this is the method of spin entry we generally taught until the early 1980's, but it is never the way that an inadvertent spin, the one that can harm you, happens. The deadly spins tend to happen with almost level attitude, but plenty of back stick, in a turn (low level thermalling, base to final turn, or a low turn off a cable break without waiting for speed to be established). I know of instances where a spin was not recognised because it had not been preceded by the entry as taught. In one of these, the pilot denied having been in a spin, and only recovered having given up and let go the controls, fortunately having started with plenty of height.

Very nice video. Great performance. Where did you strap the camera? I have an extreme camera but I don't know where to strap it in the glider

Rami Veiberman I used a Delkin Fat Gecko sucker mount. Been using it over two years and it's never let me down! www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002K8Q0EU

Clement Allen thanks for the quick answer, do you think it will fit to a go-pro like camera like the SJ4000 (which I own)?

Rami Veiberman Yes it should do. The sucker mount has a threaded tripod mount so you may need an adaptor.

Approximately how much altitude will you lose in a spin on average?

Ryan Morrison It all depends on the length of the spin. For example, in the first spin in this video they lose around 300ft in height.
