Can I already say to you: welcome in the Harry Styles fandom? Because I'm sure if you'll listen to just 2 more songs, nothing will stop you going down the rabbit hole. He is very talented, way more than just a singer: Harry Styles is a true artist. He has full creative control above his music, style, live performances, music videos. I bet a lot of marketing ideas coming from him as well. One of his band members once referred him jokingly as "boss man". Harry mainly the lyricist, but co-writes music as well. He is very bright and intelligent, has a great sense of humor. Possesses serious acting skills, very comfortable with hosting talk-shows. But the most remarkable is his strong stage presence. His vocal range is amazing and as a singer improved a lot since he started out 10 years ago (his speaking voice is deep and husky, nothing like his singing voice. It's often a surprise when someone hears it for the first time). He never performs live without his regular band (half of the members are ladies :) Practically no difference is quality studio vs. live. On stage only plays the guitar, but he can play the piano too. Also can play the drums (a little) and the dulcimer. He is into the 70s and 80s music, a born rock star. Both albums Harry made as a solo artist are wonderful and diverse He and his band nailed all the covers they did up until now. So the discography is impeccable so far! Therefore, literally anything you will encounter next will worth the time.

I really hope you will do more of Harry’s music, he is an absolute incredible artist with so much stage presence and an incredible voice! And hes a great song writer!!

I'll be honest, I wasn't a HUGE fan of him when he was in One Direction, but his solo music is DEFINITELY more up my alley, it's pretty cinematic :) Also he's just the NICEST dude in this industry!!

The best thing about Harry is that you can listen to both his albums and all the songs are different! He also smashes every cover he does! (The Chain, Wild Thoughts, Girl Crush, (with Stevie nicks)Landslide, Leather and Lace and Stop Draggin My Heart, Juice, Sledgehammer, Big Yellow Taxi, You’re still the one) He is a very talented man for sure! Being in One Direction keeps so many people from checking him out and I hate that. All the boys have amazing voices. I really love Harry, Niall and Louis solo work. Zayn and Liam are amazing their music genre is just not for me. As far as 1D music they were more pop rock them bumble gum pop. The first 2 albums they didn’t get much of a say in but by album 3 they did way more writing and you can tell the difference. Not sure if it is music you would like but the albums Midnight Memories, Four and Made in the AM are really really good!! Harry’s albums are self titled and Fine Line, Niall has Flicker and Heartbreak Weather and Louis has Walls and I absolutely love them all! Always love seeing people react tot them who would never have gave them a chance before :)

Thanks for the reaction, that was great. Harry has some cred to himself because he was actually in a band before joining 1D. They mostly did covers, Springsteen and Paolo Nutini (the band is still performing, it's called White Eskimo). They even won a battle of the bands. He just thought to audition for X Factor one day and ended up in a huge boyband. Harry is a music NERD. And sort of an encyclopedia. He has so many influences. He writes all his own music (lyrics and composition). He plays guitar and piano proficiently, but also drums, percussion, and bass guitar for fun. He learned how to play the Dulcimer for this album (from the lady that crafted Joni Mitchell's dulcimer). He's super close to Stevie Nicks who calls him "her little muse." His covers are so fucking good. Songwriters like John Legend and Ryan Tedder had said he's amazing, so there's that too lol. I have a feeling you'll like She from his latest album. Very Prince/Pink Floyd esque (Harry is a huge Pink Floyd fan). Sunflower, Vol. 6 is also amazing. Honestly, his discography is impeccable, to me, but I know I'm biased. Watermelon Sugar is about to have a music video and become a single, so you might want to check that out. It's nothing like this song, so FYI. It's more of a pop nonsensical song, but it's still super different from what you normally hear on the radio.

I find it hilarious that this is your intro to him because I think you'll really enjoy his whole discography but I personally would've recommended you start with a few HS1 songs, Kiwi and other more upbeat tracks before running to the one song I find most moving! Loved the reaction and I can truly recommend ANY of his live performances whether they be covers(of which he has several)or versions of his originals. Also if no one else has told you, he does write or co-write his music and I believe has written for other artists outside of writing some songs for One Direction albums. He's a guitarist but he writes and performs with the same band every time, which is super fucking rad imo

I think this song is just the perfect one to close the amazing album he did, so it`s nice you enjoyed it. I`m sure you`ll enjoy "kiwi" or "golden" a lot more, both are by Harry, can`t wait for next reactions of Harry or 1D.

It's funny that you choose one of his slowest songs since you're more into energetic ones. He has no bad songs, I'll tell you that. Maybe try Kiwi, She or Woman next, I feel they're more up your alley. Also Harry is really hands on in the production of all os his songs, he plays multiple instruments and writes all of his lyrics, but he has a band that he gathered himself (his guitarist delivered pizza when they met) and they're all really close friends. One Direction have great songs too in their latest album even thought people brush them off because they were "teenage girl stuff". Almost all of the guys in the band (they were five) have great solo stuff, you might've heard of Zayn (he's more r&b and hiphop).

Out of his new album fine line I definitely recommend listening to cherry and she! Both incredible songs!!!!

as far as i know, he has a band, his name works like Bon Jovi’s, if it’s like solo but it’s a band. I heard him the first time seeing the rock n roll hall of fame in which he performed with Stevie Nicks and when I went to see his content this guy is old fashioned organic rock!

He actually writes all of his own songs (usually 2-4 writers per song, him included, I believe) and is very involved in the development of his music.

Fine Line (the song) is definitely the finale of uplifting "We'll be alright" song at the end of an album that had gone through a journey. My reaction to Harry was very similar. Someone suggested it to me and my response was, “the dude from One Direction that broke Taylor Swift’s heart? Seriously?!” I couldn’t have been more wrong (even wrong on the Taylor part lol). I grew up on Fleetwood Mac, the Stones, etc and I immediately could hear the influences. I have the same advice as others, take time to listen to the entire album, as well as his first album/self titled. You will NOT be disappointed.

Harry can play instruments. He plays guitar, piano, dulcimer and the kazoo for some reason. He used to be a lead singer of a PunckRock band called “Wight Eskimo”. His mother came to him one day and told him that he has an audition for the X Factor on day which surprised him and that’s why he signed up for the show. He’s influenced by 70s 80s rock music. I’m a big fan of his. I think he’s really talented but many people underestimate him because he was part of a boy band. If you’re going to react to more of his music in the future (which would be very nice) I recommend ‘Sign of the times’, it was his first single as a solo artist. He also does many great covers like : The Chain, Sledgehammer, Juice, Girl Crush and more He also sang with Stevie Nicks at the Rock & Roll hall of fame standing up for Tom Petty for their song ‘Stop Dragging My Heart Around’.

this song is saying that there’s times where you’re going to be happy and times where you’re going to be sad, there’s always a fine line between them. he’s saying he’s always going to love this person but there’s also dark times.

The instruments are the emotions overwhelming but being sorted out in the end. The song was one of the earliest ones he wrote for second album and those were reportedly sad times for his relationship status. Most of the album is about falling in love and breaking up but he made it sound very non-mundane imo. A really good album, I love the concept and a cohesive nature of it and the whimsical ways of promotion that went with most of the singles that were released out of it. Not your usual mainstream pop singer, for sure. And he's very good live too :)

I'm sure you're eventually going to react to all of Fine Line (the second album) on your own time and in your own way/order, but pleaseeeeee don't forget to react to his first solo album (it's self-titled aka "Harry Styles"). From that album I recommend listening to Sign of the Times (the first solo song he ever released), Kiwi, Carolina, Woman, and Only Angel first, before you listen to the slower songs. He plays the guitar a bit but he has Mitch,a great guitarist. The record Fine Line is meant to be listened as a story, beginning to end. And it’s about falling of love and then out of love. Not saying more about this. He’s learning a better guitar, learning piano and he writes all his lyrics.
