He is encouraging young people who are questioning their sexuality to come charging out of the closet. Who died and made him the expert on being gay and all it entails? If he was openly gay or bi, I wouldn't be so hard on him. At least I would hope he has some experience on the subject. Look at it this way - Do you think it's wise for a high school dropout to counsel your kid or would you prefer that counselor have a degree or at least something close? He sold out Wembley Stadium which has a 90,000 seating capacity and pretty much sells out all his concert venues when he tours. He’s a talented songwriter and has done well in movies. His album this year is platinum and every song on it was within the top 30. As it Was broke a world record for being the most streamed song on Spotify this year. So yeah I’d say he’s talented.

I think the issue a lot of people have with Harry is that they suspect that he is "Queerbating". Essentially giving the impression that he is queer or sexually ambiguous while in reality he is just a cis straight man, but he knows that pretending to be queer will give him more appeal. It's the same thing with a lot teens and young adults who claim to be queer because they want to be viewed as "different,non conforming,edgy and cool". The fact that Harry's current behavior isn't consistent with the way he behaved 3 -4 years ago and the fact that he was quite open about romance with the opposite sex (in person and in his songs), but has never blatantly or directly (he's always very ambiguous with his words and lyrics) expressed something for the same sex or done anything that would suggest he is gay has led people to suspect that he is a straight cis man who uses lgbtq+ elements as a marketing ploy. Harry was firm about being straight and never said anything or behaved in any way that would suggest he isn't, until he and the world became aware of the popularity of one direction fanfics. The latter are gay themed fictional and sometimes animated stories from fan that depict romantic, initmate and sexual scenarios amongst members. It just seems like he started playing along with those stories. For a lot of queer people there's just something ingenuine and forced about his recent androgynous, non gender conforming persona and aesthetic. A lot of people are claiming that he is trying so hard to be David Bowie with his new aesthetic. And that aesthetic sells a lot these days. Gen z females especially have an obsession with queer people hence the success of many queer books,movies, series and fanfics. And many people and businesses have taken notice of that and are trying to cater to this demographic in unethical ways. Of course in my view no one can determine someone's sexuality but the concerned individual, so it's not the public's business, but at the same time I can understand the frustration of some lgbtq+ people if Harry is really queerbating. It's not cool to see a trait that is used to oppress you, being utilized as a tool to make profit by someone that doesn't have that trait. But yeah I think this is the reason why a lot of people are concerned about his sexuality

@@angelaortega1495 He's never behaved 100% straight. Maybe to someone who never payed much attention to him back then. He didn't dress as feminine back in the 1D days. And that makes sense. He was in a boy band. That comes with a certain appeal. But despite that there are many moments back when he was a teen that suggested he could be queer. But now he's not in a band, it's just him and he's free. He's stated before that there's a freedom to having his own career and now his own indiscretions wouldn't cost him his career anymore. He said he cried when he found this out. I can't imagine the restraints he was under while in the band. So I don't think he's pretending or doing this out of the blue. I think he's just free. But I will say he does have a lyric in an unreleased song that his very candid about his feelings regarding same sex relationships. "The boys and the girls are in, I mess around with him, and im okay with it." Sounds like a clear statement to me, he just doesn't want to label it. And that's okay. I dont like labeling myself either, its not required. Too many ppl are trying to invalidate or question his sexuality because he's never had a public boyfriend. Well everyone is inspired by someone somehow. Even Prince was inspired by somebody else before he became an artist. But I see more David Bowie in him than Prince though since he has stated that he is a massive David Bowie fan and you can really tell even in his imagery and the way he chooses to dress. But it's not really a carbon copy of all of those artists combined though because at the end of the day he does still combines his *styles* in his outfits. So it's not like he is a copycat or anything.

I see influences of Prince and Mick Jagger. Maybe even a little Hendrix. All said, if you mix natural talent, work ethic, style, and at times attitude.
