I'm very happy with my Kobalt 80v push mower and weed eater. After almost 4 years old my first mower died and I was able to exchange it for a new brushless version. This new one is so much better and the 5 amp hour battery that comes with it did my whole yard and still had power left. I would go through 3 of the 2 amp hour batteries with my old one

I bought my HART trimmer a few years ago. It IS powerful. My battery lasts about 40 minutes at full speed and continuous running. It does take a few hours ro recharge, so if you see an offer to get a spare battery in the package get the spare battery. Each 40 volt battery fits the other devices that run on 40 volts. After using the trimmer for a season I also bought the blower. It also works real good. I don't give good reviews easily because I'm a little hard to please. I'll buy this brand again when needed.

I commend you your kids out hustling doing yard work . My first job was taking care of the neighbor ladies yard it was a good acre plus with trout ponds and the gardens were so beautiful this was back in the late 1960’s. It taught me good work ethics and being responsible. For the last 20 years I have not been able to find a neighborhood kid to do yard work they are lazy , they are either glued to the game box or their phone. Good job Jeff and Jesse your great parents.

I have put 15 mows on my Atlas 80v mower. Its GREAT, cuts great, its very quiet, mulches or bags. Its mulches bermuda and tree leaves very well. My only complaint is that the "tires" are rubbery things slipped over a plastic wheel, well the rubber things slip and the locating bumps bulge out the sides. Doesnt seem to affect anything, just unsightly and annoying. The hart batteries look identical, but are $40 more? They KEY to all these things is how long do the batt packs hold up and how long will these companies continue to make them as they are useless without batts. My gas mowers are over 30 yo each and still running.

I bought the 18in trimmer, edger, and a generic pole attachment. I had not edged for 3 years, or trimmed along my fence for 4 months due to a surgery an not wanting my kids to use my gas trimmer. When I went to trim the fence, the gas trimmer was giving me problems. I decided to buy this 40v trimmer to use until I could rebuild my gas trimmer, but after using the 40v, I was impressed. I bought the other attachments an edged, trimmed some branches in the back yard, and I was impressed. I am about to throw my gas trimmer away.

Great video! That's good that your kids learning to work. I have the atlas mower that thing is a beast. I took it to places my gas mower bogs down. My electric just hits turbo by its self and goes thru that like nothing. Wish my gas mower was still alive so I could make a comparison. I'm able to charge all my batteries on solar so that's a plus on 0 cost to run.

I already have Ryobi's 40v gear. Mower, power head, edger, trimmer, snow shovel, the blower. If I wasn't already invested, I'd seriously consider the Hart. Of course, it's the same gear made by the same company.
@traumajock

I've got 18V Ryobi tools, have been happy with them. But a few years ago, I bought a Lynx trimmer from harbor Freight. Good design, so-so materials. Its wearing out. Looking at Ryobi and Hart, it looks like Hart might be a slightly better value. Three different battery sizes, I can buy stuff for it at any Walmart. And it probably is made in the same factory. The difference would be in the quality of the plastic (glass content) and the electronics (brand of mosfets, switches, etc.)
@traumajock

I bought the 40v leaf vac and trimmer this past spring and the issue I have is the plastic coverings and where you connect the battery appear cheap and are brittle and flimsy....the power is ok they will do the job, but do not drop the tools bc the plastic where you connect the battery will crack or shatter then you are screwed. I haven't dropped mine yet but i feel as if I have to be very ginger with it when I set it down

This stuff is perfect for the kids and yards your size. Let's clear a ditch side by side with my stihl fs250. How much run time before recharging? We tried a stihl battery string trimmer 1 day and it lasted all day on 1 battery. Like 15 yards. It had enough power too. Same as their entry level gas probably. Battery string trimmers better now days than 30 years ago. And yes they had them 30 years ago. Older neighbor lady had a little one that Joe Smith would weed eat her yard with for her as a kid. Well used it 1 time. The next time Joe Smith stole his dad's stihl weed eater while he was at work and got done 10 times as fast.

We can do an average size yard with two batteries. That's mowing, trimming and blower clean up.
@SgtJoeSmith
@SgtJoeSmith 3 года назад
@@denoftools I think we can do 15 yards in 1 day on 1 tank of gas in our stihl fs55 and fs130 trimmers and 1 tank in stihl bg55 blowers. That's edging sidewalk too. 3 gallons gas in walker ztr 18hp. Are the trimmer and blower lighter than gas equip? I'm guessing they should be. Women complain the stihl trimmers are too heavy. Your stuff if probably perfect for women that live alone, elderly, kids starting a mowing service. Home owners with small yards. Which is how it's marketed. I seen bad review on Amazon for a battery mower. Guy claimed he killed 2 batteries mowing a 100 sqft patch of grass. And mower was under powered and junk. He posted a pic. He was trying to use it to brush hog a 1 acre field that was 4 feet tall and somehow manage to get 100 sqft cut down. Hahaha! Stupid people

You might think the difference between a 20 inch and a 22 inch isn't significant, but it is. My 22 inch compared to my 21 inch is significant. I will never buy even a 21 inch again. I don't believe there is a 22" self propelled muncher out there yet that will move for 45 minutes. How much will I spend on batteries in 20 years? If I had my Grandma's yard, yes electric all the way. Have been using electric trimmer for 15 years. 40 volt is too big there, too heavy. My 20 volt trimmer is great for me.

Those cubs are spoiled as I am 39 and never used a self propelled mower and I too did mowed lawns from 8th grade and into my college years. I have the Craftsman made by Greenworks dual blade 20 inch mower and a Greenworks Blower and string trimmer. My only dislike is the mower doesn't seem to have as much pickup ability as my old 5.5HP gas mower that would suck up every leaf. The mower sounds like a giant box fan on high when running. Wish there was a way to override the auto speed as I think if I could kick it into high that might help. The string trimmer is powerful but a tad heavy as I got the one you can changed heads on.

Yes there is and has been commercial battery ztrs for few years. Mean green mowers and green works mowers. They cost $21,000 to $25,000. And if you mow commercially like us you will need to buy a 2nd set of batteries to make it through the day. And a 2nd charger of course. So expect to spend $30,000 up front. Here people think I'm full of it when I tell them my mower was $15,000
