My German Shepherd was bitten on his snout by a grumpy old adder bathing in the sunshine on the river bend before the fall at Spekes mill, you must be aware of the unpredictable tide there too, I learned the hard way! I lived a five minute walk from there for a few years and often return now for a weekend.
Love it down there. But the Walk from Hartland point to Speaks mill that day was a killer . Up and over endless steep ridges and down again. Then i had a 3 hour Motorbike ride back to Bristol . Was a cracking day but was knackered when i got home lol . I Didn't see any Adders. If i had i would of filmed them . I can imagine the tides are pretty rapid down there and its easy to get cut off in some of the coves .
Thank you . RU-vid is a strange thing . Slowly growing though . I like to share my passions and make films . And hope people enjoy them . Thanks for your kind comment
Hi and Thank you. I was heading south from Hartland point . It was one of the first beaches i could get too . If you look at google maps i think it was Abbey river beach. goo.gl/maps/k3CnYxx3QQEYuLM6A The tide was right out . hence the fantastic rock pools
In fact ive looked a bit more and im sure its here. a bit further north . Its not Abbey river but further up www.google.com/maps/dir//51.0119114,-4.5267316/@51.0113905,-4.5267236,304m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!4m1!3e0
