Short summary: 1. Intermitent fasting - basically being hungry some periods of time - maybe the most important factor! 2. HIIT - high intensity interval training, shocking organism with high pulse rates 3. Low carb diet - no sugar 4. NMN - Nicotinamide mononucleotide 5. Metformin - keeping the blood sugar levels steady by controlling the insuline levels - BUT taking it only on days you are not exercising 6. Exercising - combination of weight lifting, cardio and stretching 7. Shocking body with rapid temperature change - for about an hour - sauna, steam room, hot tube, cold shower - cold exposure builds up brown fat that revs up our metabolism and helps us to stay lean 8. Metabolic winter hypothesis - in our lifestyles we are always warm, wearing jackets, we turn up the heat, we never get exposed to cold unless we don't want to - partly responsible for diabetic problems we have. If you are cold at night, you are gonna turn on your brown fat, burn a lot more energy keeping you warm, and keeping you lean. 9. NAD + booster molecule (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) - NR (Nicotinamide Riboside) , NMN 10. Resveratrol - as a supplement - 1 gram a day

genetics + lack of *permanent* stress, all other things can help but aren't essential. Some people smoke, drink a lot of alcohol, do little to no exercise and still live 90+ years in relative happiness. I mean, if that isn't genetics I don't know what is. Gene therapies are on the rise, so who knows - maybe new generation of people will live to 100+ years easily. Turtles do it, why can't humans.

My great grandma passed at 107. She slept often, always had a beer or glass of red wine at dinner. She ate home cooked meals and survived the great depression by begging for bread on the street with her sisters. She also drank lots of water and occasionally had orange juice. She stayed sharp speaking two languages and listening to classical music. She passed away a week after being in a nursing home. My family took better care of her until they just couldn't. They all wish they hadn't sent her. R.i.p. great grandma.

Longevity really runs in my family and we all have similar habits. Like every uncle, aunt, grandparent etc. are living 90+ years easily on both sides of my family. Everyone exercising multiple times a week. Everyone. We do not eat really any refined sugars, like zero desserts/sodas/creamers/ice cream etc. None of us are obese, obesity will kill you. All of our meals are home cooked, I actually once went an entire year without going to a restaurant once. Also, we all take care of our skin. Even the men use moisturizers and cleansers and creams etc. I think the biggest thing though is that we are all happy. We don't stress, we sleep well, we relax, we laugh, we smile.

So basically do the following to live YOUNG & HEALTHY. 1. Exercise (at least 1 hour per day, five days a week; weight lifting is essential) 2. Yoga (30 minutes every morning) 3. Eat clean (consume organic - very important) 4. Diet (reduce meat and increase veg) 5. Stay hungry! 6. Cut carbs to a minimum 7. No sugar at all 8. Monday & Thursday fasting (only fruits and fruit juices) 9. Drink at least 3 litres of clean water (1 litre immediately after you are awake) 10. Sleep (8 hours minimum; Recommendation - 9pm - 6am) 11. Take cold shower 12. Reduce artificial heating and expose yourself in cold weather 13. Use sauna and steam room (Listen, if you are a man, better do this only after you become the father of a child because too much exposure to sauna/steam room/Jacuzzi/hot tub reduces your sperm health) 14. Laugh as much as you can 15. Embrace nature and your true self (go for long aimless walks in the bush, beaches etc. to sense the beauty of nature and to recognise that you are a tiny part of the singularity) 16. Do not keep hatred because it will consume you. Forgive and move on. WE LIVE YOUNG; WE LIVE FREE! 💗

I am 46 according to the gregorian calendar. But I have often seen people who dont know me, think I am barely in my twenties. Here's my secret... it's mind over matter. I command the body to stay youthful... literally. I also use gratitude affirmations alongside such as,"thank you for giving me a youthful appearance, a sculpted face, a tight skin, lush hairline, great eye sight, excellent hearing, great bone structure, etc. etc.". I add to that staying childish. I also don't believe in the clock and calendar. I believe that I am one moment old... the now. I keep learning new skills that subconsciously tell my body to stay functional and youthful as there is a lot to be done.

I’ve always slept a lot because of depression, had a lot of stress in my life, raised a couple kids on my own, worked all my life, mowed my own lawn and shovelled the snow, never drove a car, take good quality vitamins, don’t smoke or drink (except for the odd drink at social events) and rarely eat out, but I love my carbs, as unfortunately I bake, love pasta, cookies, potatoes, love fruit but not big on veggies, rarely eat red meat, I walk an hour a day and people used to think I was in my 50’’s when I was in my 70’s (barely any lines on my face and never wear makeup). I’m now 78 but feel like I’m in my 50’s. I think life would have been better if I had a good man in my life.

I have unintentionally fasted daily my whole life 18:6 as my body does not like breakfast, I eat when I am only hungry and stop when I am full, I eat healthily, I sleep in a cold bedroom, I hike mountains every day even in winter, and it makes me feel great, and I live in cold Norway. I have also lived 5 years in the tropics. My body can easily adapt to extreme cold and heat, and I am never sick. At 50 kgs, I am lean and mean. I am 40, look 30 and have a 20-year-old figure. Well if you’re dead it’s hard to move that’s just logic. It’s good to have some healthy activity through the day to keep your circulation up. Fresh air is also necessary to oxygenate the blood. All the people that did excessive exercise in their younger years have a plethora of problems as they get older. They have basically abused their joints and their organs. I see lot if joint problems, heart problems etc. in these people. You should never exercise in excess. I know people who ran daily in every-kind of weather and died from heart attacks before they even got to their 50. I like the idea of weight lifting much better to keep your muscle mass. I don’t like jogging I don’t see any benefit in that it’s too harsh on all your joints. Walking is great and much healthier for you.

The hardest thing to be achieved has already happened, you are here and aware! Now, the human mind or ego makes life difficult but that is another matter. When you are present and connected with life you deal with whatever comes your way and its not seen as problem, already that is advantage. Being stable or happy does not mean you are not involved with life in fact its the opposite, you are more involved with life. This is a much better place to deal with these self inflicted human problems that humanity has brought upon itself then a bias negative unstable point of view.

I am one of the healthiest humans on this planet. These are my tips to beat ageing or at least slow it down 😂 1. Have as hot a shower as you can comfortably. Turn the tap to coldest and have a cold shower. Your body will go into shock. To calm your flight reflex bend down and touch your toes, pause and take a calm breath and come back down. Do this for as long as you feel comfortable you will be able to withstand the cold for longer as time goes on. 2. Do callisthenics and body movement exercises. Most importantly hang on a bar for 5 mins a day broken into time lots of 30 secs to 2 mins. 3. Do end range movement exercises. 4. Change the name of your shower in your mind. It is now called “the rejuvenation station”. 5. Practice intermittently fasting. Everyone is different so there is no magic formula here. I personally take a 24 hr fast once a month. Every second day I skip breakfast lunch or dinner. Listen to your body, if you don’t feel like eating -don’t. If you feel slightly hungry a few servings of fruit is great. I personally eat red meat once a day but that’s just personal but again not a huge serving. 6. Have a positive mindset. Being happy is a choice, being unhappy is also a choice. I just tell myself that I cannot afford to feel unhappy because I need to work extra hard to find extra happiness to cancel out those negative feelings. 7.Critically think.

Thanks for sharing this information. Sounds like you have some good things figured out. I was listening to a guy on the radio who did an anti aging study by looking at countries where people live the longest and it was interesting. I can't remember all the things he said, because it was years ago, but he found that countries where they consume olive oil live the longest. The theory is that the oil coats the arteries and makes them slick where cholesterol and calcium won't stick to them. He also found countries where people had a low selenium intake had shorter lifespans. I read years ago that either 80 or 90% of the health problems are due to calcium clogging up the tiny capillary vessels and cutting off blood flow. When they clog up over the years, the tiny vessels that supply blood and oxygen to the skin get clogged up, and it causes the death of cells which is what wrinkles are. I have been drinking a tablespoon of vinegar everyday and noticed the wrinkles are disappearing. The vinegar dissolves calcium. You can soak egg shells, which are calcium, in vinegar and in 3 days they will be dissolved to liquid. I'm convinced that vinegar is the key to living a long life. I'm also going to start drinking olive oil everyday.

I’m a firm believer that there are a few factors that ultimately affect aging. 1) diet (obviously). Those who eat a lot of processed foods, carbs, junk, age a lot faster than those that control it or don’t. 2) fitness. Fitter people just in general automatically look atleast 5 years younger. And then always being active provides the same effect. There’s people at the gym who are like 10 years older than I think they are because they love to workout. Dude I was talking to in the sauna today was 53 but I thought he was early-mid 40s. Hes always lifting and at the gym 5x a week. 3) fashion. When you get older you stop caring about what’s hip, or the clothes you wear..guys especially. Big no-no. While you don’t need to be buying the latest trends in fashion like the teenagers are, having a good fashion sense will almost always make you look younger. I know guys in their 40s who rock the sandal/sock/cargo/polo combo and they seem to like it. Good for them but it definitely adds like 5-10 years of what you really are. 4) attitude. Simple, there are people who get angry over everything, stress over everything, complain for the smallest reasons, over-sensitive, quick to attack someone, etc…. Yea those things age you quick too. Look at Johnny Depp in that trial. Dude was just being silly and laughing where it’s supposed to be a serious setting…if I didn’t originally know his age, I would NEVER have thought he was 58. Dude could pass for early 40s. Your mannerisms can age you, and if he behaved what we expect 58yos to behave like, then he may pass for it.

My 2 cents here: Before getting to this video I was listening to an interview by London Real on Joe Dispenza. I couldn't but wonder about this: Bilyeu was born in 1976 Dispenza in 1961, that makes Dispenza to be 15 years older than Bilyeu. However Dispenza looks younger and happier. Interesting, no? They have two different approach to life: while Bilyeu is looking for the magic pill, food or the magic supplement to immortality, something to buy or DO, Dispenza is looking for well being through your mind and brain. Dispenza has thousands of testimonies of people curing themselves of cancer, paralysis, allergies, diabetes, fibromyalgia, you name it and finding wealth, mending relationships, etc, etc. The program Dispenza has is basically guided meditations where you basically work in your feelings, emotions, blocks, you learn how to feel gratitude, forgiveness, receiving and giving of love and the more you do it the better and healthier you are. My take: Don't spend your money in pills, supplements, doctors, tests, etc; instead Create or decide to spent thirty minutes a day meditating with your clear purpose of what you want to achieve and do it that is cheaper and more effective. Trust you will be happier, remember all answers all inside you not outside, your body already knows how to respond.

Fasting is common in Hindu culture. Tuesdays one meal without salt. Some fast you eat only one or two fruits. sometimes we fast for a week only one meal a day and there are restrictions about the type of food.

My granny is 91, she is the last of my grandparents who is alive. She is not starving or doing any exercises. She has a cardiostimulator and had not one but some surgeries to implant/change it in her life. She is old, she looks old. But she is in her mind though she can speak to herself sometimes. She can walk but prefers to rest. She says that she feels very tired and her body doesnt work ok. When i look at her and old people, for me the question is not how long. The question is how effective, healthy, strong, mindful, happy people can stay in their life when they get old.

The part at around 23:25 about "poisoning the mitochondria" so that you end up with more mitochondria reminds me of gardening. You can keep a flower blooming by snipping he flower before the mature fully, causing the plant to "stay young" longer and continue producing flowers. Also it's like pruning a tree to stimulate more growth so it ends up with even more branches and a fuller canopy

Thanks a lot tom for airing this. God bless you.

We need a study comparing Metformin to Urolithin A and/or PQQ. Urolithin A participates in re-integrating damaged mitochondria into fresh, new mitochondria; rather than poisoning functioning mitochondria to stimulate the process requiring urolithin A. PQQ participates in mitogenesis.
