I play SC now for several years and did not come up with a gameplay loop like this! This is amazing keep up the good work and it helps sometimes to look at the game from a different perspective like in this video to find new and exciting stuff to do.
I have been coming across clusters of ships everywhere now in POIs I just find one I can get into and set the auto destruct and run out to see how many will go up at once. Only time I catch a crime stat is when the explosions take out a facility defense turret. Got two Cutties, a Conny, a Hercules, two Ursas, and a C8R clustered around one spot last game session. So many abandoned ships.
Finding ships not much a problem. Getting components out, sometimes a problem that they just don't come out. Rentals and free event ships NEVER work afaik. Then hauling it all back to Grim Hex to sell not a problem, except ya never know till ya bring the stolen components to a terminal if they even show up to sell. I would LOVE to scavenge BIG ships for the large (expensive) components, so is there a list of what sells or a even a rule of thumb what does? Follow up I'll try today is to get a working salvage ship with a big cargo and see if I can land and sell at G Hex. Thanks again for a good idea I've been meaning to implement on scale.
Have you tested this yet? I stole weapons from 2 ships, but only the items from one of them were visible to sell. The other ships items were not listed.
Corsair makes short work of those turrets. I skip missions that have them because my Cutty Black gets too hammered. Or I am not handling those enemy turrets very well...
I have done them in my cutty before definitely more challenging. You got to keep moving. Can't really tank the hits. I usually cicle the turret. If there's more than one then it's very dangerous.
@TheCoreGameplay last time I was on, I cleared out some ships at the bunkers by breaking into them, shutting their shields off and scrapping them with my vulture. Clean forgot about snagging the components (though I wouldn't have much room to store them)
So, what if the ship isn't abandoned and the player is just down in the bunker doing their mission? Do they just come out to find their ship on blocks??
Over the years I tried reducing my accent but that thing is thick. Eventually I just let it be and try my best. If I had to write out every word each time I wouldn't enjoy making videos since I also don't have all my fingers so typing is very slow
This was my first time doing something like this so I basically just documented my gameplay so I have no idea yet. I'll definitely keep doing more and learn from it
Hey sir do you have any issues with Corsair wings ? For me it's not unfolding when I press alt+k . It says ship port unlocked after few attempts. Any fix please ?
Is this in PTU 3.24? I'm just in the PU and I find player ships all over but can never remove the components, aside from the guns on the outside of the ship. Am I missing something?
As of the time I write this does not work. I could not replicate it. I stripped an entire abandoned player Corsair. Components and weapons. Went to dumpers depot at grim hex, Centermass Area18, Lorville, nobody will buy any of it. Im told this only works with NPC vessels.
It's complicated. It works sometimes but not all the time. You'll see at the end I included a little comment where I said a lot of ship components didn't show up to be able to sell. Some people say it can't be default ship components. I bet there's more stuff we don't know that we need to figure out. This was my first day doing this.
@@TheCoreGameplay Indeed. My corsair salvage was stock and was a player vessel. I should say for now this did not work for me. I really like this idea for a loop for very large vessel. I hope it works with NPC and non stock items.
