This was very insightful. I have been lamenting the difficulties of collecting loot, but this makes it so much easier. Glad I picked up one of these CSV's now. Thanks for making this video!
This inventory chane made me stop playing SC for now. Its just stupidly tedious compared to before. And I am surely not going to pay real money for it when it costs about 200K in game later.
If you use the new loot interface on the CSV’s internal storage, you can move an undersuit from inventory, directly onto your body, and all the gear will snap to you. It’s way faster than reequipping all your gear manually.
Man not only do you have one of the most informative series of videos but your voice is so calming and easy to listen too. You definitely gave me a great start on making money is SC. I've been using your tactics and it has allowed me to afford the ships I needed to get my salvage business running. Thank you Sir!!!!
Imagine if a magical hand held device existed that could be used to lock and unlock your ship from outside, so you didn’t have to get in/out and do it manually… if only such technology existed now.. or in (checks notes) 830 years time…
@inviktus1983 saddle bags dont have snapping points so anything you put there gets launched into space as soon as you move and the 1 scu cargo snapping point rarely works and boxes fall out of that sometimes. On top of that it cant maneuver at all and very easily tips over.
Looting guns nets the most amount of auec, I sold a full 2 scu box of nothing but guns (no sidearms) and it was around 80k, and it seems to be the average amount, takes slightly more time to gather all the guns though but if u put all the guns in a pile u can drag and drop while looting the stuff box.
Csv is nice for small adventures. I hope we get a bigger version for Medium or large base build.Yeah i know big orgs gonna have hundreds of those ,gotta wait for bb if this thing is enough.
Yea I love the pickup truck idea but I was hoping for more of a larger truck and even a pickup truck for large scu containers just like IRL. Especially to drive around these distribution centers and soon large bases. 4 scu around a distro center is such a waste of time need a big boy truck.!
i like the idea of this, i feel like using the tracker beam to load the bodies up on the truck and then processing the loot later on from a safe place inside the ship would be my go to. i find it super funny leaving the bodies under the new Babbage hab building where the year round Christmas decorations are

Can someone please explain me - can you just go to all of these disribution centers and shoot the NPCs without getting crime stat? (without having a mission for it?)
no, you have to go to a center thats controled by a pirate faction. many of them have security and civilians on them and if you kill one of these, you get a CS.
Great video!! I will try that as well, looks like great gameplay. Do the NPCs re-spawn, or do they come in waves? Or, once you kill them all, you can take your time looting them all?
I just use the cyclon base model as it holds a 1SCU on its cargo grid in the back. Yes the box snaps to the grid. No need to pull all the armor pcs as some are worth less than a couple hundred credits and take up way to much space, helmets and guns cores if your itching to sell fast, but one box is enough, have a few exra empties in the back of the ship to swap if your doing multiple runs as well.

Wow, that’s pretty cool despite the crashes. Hopefully CIG will clean up the servers so they are more reliable/playable for backers. Fingers crossed they can fix it all within the remaining years of this decade. Everything always seems just out of reach with them.
15:30 the 30k protection does not always works fine. You might need to wait 5-10 minutes before logging in back, as my ship marked as stored, after recent 30k, but IDK where is it stored. Can't find it anywhere
why don't you tractor beam the bodies to you at the truck? I figure that would speed it up, since you could just work your way through the corpse pile.
Won't it be easier to remove the boxes once you looted all guns and just pile the bodies onto the vehicle to undress them later in a safer environment?
Definitely better than tractoring boxes everywhere. I'm all for physicalizing but we need to have good alternative solutions for looting and cargo. So this is a good step in that direction. Can the CSV take a 4 SCU container? If they added the ability to drag and drop NPC undersuit directly into SCU container that would really be nice.
The ability to drag stuff from nearby around you to a Container also close to you, used to be in the game. It being gone makes me assume they dont want that Feature
Yeah this is what i'm looking forward to from it. Now if only they'd deal with the fucking timers preventing me from cleaning house in the bunkers and if there was a smaller ship it could fit in.
I've been complaining that we needed a pickup in this game for years and I didn't even know this was out. 🙄 Have you tried piling the bodies in the back, just for grins and giggles? As somebody else said it would be easier to use the side door on the DCB (and this truck vastly improves the usability of that ship, since the URSA doesn't fit in it). I wonder if you could've used the MaxLift to put the boxes up on the DC deck from the ship so you didn't have to run down to it. If the Nursa and this truck both fit in a Max I'm gonna be in great shape for these DCs (the last update stole both my Taurus and my Andro 😡- those would of course be ideal for this work).
That’s why he was putting the armor on himself first. Looting directly from a corpse into a box doesn’t work from what I’ve seen so you have to drop the items off the corpse, THEN load into the box afterward by dragging from the group to the box inventory menu. Or do what he was doing, get naked, drag their under suit onto your body and all the gear comes with it, then drag the under suit into the crate inventory menu and bam.

I am all for the Han Solo plowing through the obstacles of life in a harsh Verse but... already the concept of "Armor farming" sounds like a cheapest loser's lowlife way lol
