Bees Unlimited, at it again!!... Out in the Rafter Beekeeping Community taking in a Sustainable Honey Harvest from a Giant Honeybee (Apis dorsata) colony in NW Cambodia, not too far from Angkor Wat... How sweet it is!!
They were very gentle with the bees, took only a third of the hive, a satisfying and pleasing video no doubt, makes me happy to see there are people who respect nature and the gifts she gives us
The Dippin American yeah but it wouldn't be beneficial to take everything then the environment would suffer. plus they look like they have done this a long time.
yeah but it would still be stupid with or without a store to harvest everything. no one has the right to destroy the environment because there is no store.
i am glad that they harvested it so sustainably, take a portion of honey cells, leaving all the brood and remaining for the rest of the colony instead of taking everything. this is what wild beekeeping should be. take what you need, leave the rest.
No they didn't, here in Asia wild honey bees are migratory. When the rainy season comes bees tend to move to a drier location. Except for the ones that happened to build their hive on places that won't get very wet when it rains.
Well that's how wild honey SHOULD be collected. However alot of ppl just smoke and take everything in the whole colony and leave them bees with nothing.
The portion they needed? That was ALL the honey the bees had. The rest was brood. I was hoping they'd leave the last bit that broke off for the bees but no, they took that too.
@@gameZA40 you say it's rAcIsT when white people call black people out but when its the other way around you suddenly dont care anymore? There are alot of good white people out there, you fucking racist shitbag.
What amazes me is the comments.......the concern so many people have for nature. It feels good to know that so many people all over the world care about mother earth.
diego consafo concern ? These bums are sitting on their phones not doing shit for anyone but they complain about some guys not killing bees and taking a little bit of their comb ? Lol
I agree. Some honey collectors will take the entire hive, which bothers me. I also dislike when honey collectors go after a hive that is small and premature. These guys were gentle and considerate. They only took what they needed and left the rest for the bees.
That's not it. They work for their whole village most likely. To know where the honey is important. An depending on weather condition the bees will find a better place come winter. An why bother taking more than is needed. Nature can store better than some. Nice work. Thank You Loader.
I'm glad that they didn't take more than they needed, in fact only taking a pretty small portion of the hive. I was worried they'd be snatching up the entire thing, but that would probably just end up in an angry swarm of bees following you... and they seem so calm about it too. No special protection, just a lit branch for smoke.
+Raijyn yeah, im actually Cambodian by the way, i think my mom did this before but thats still kinda stunning she couldve done this with little protection, CALMLY
In Africa the tribes destroy the beehives, Put Fire directly into the nest entrances, killing allot of bees and damaging their homes. it's terrible. this way is much more peaceful
+MysticMindBender Ever heard of the term "Africanized" Bees? No amount of smoke will let you calmly work with them like common honey bees. They're more aggressive than normal bees by nature and will literally kill you. The indigenous population doesn't own full-body bee keeping suits either. Such is life.
Literally going there and taking the honey without wearing a suit requires a different level of bravery. Was literally feeling petrified for them of getting stung!
I love this. They only took what they needed and they didn't harm the bees. If more people did this, used patience and took the minimum, we wouldn't have so many species going extinct
I love this video. Something about watching the hive being cut and the honey leaking out is super satisfying and appetizing... And then the part where they squeeze out the honey is amazing too.
Yes agree and Lord we thank you for your benefits you give us and we ask that those who are hungry you will feed them do send your Angel's to minister to their needs in Jesus Name.
@@robertimmanuel577 prayer to god have nthing to do with the people of your dying that you spoke of. the reason why we pray is we gloryfie the god creation on earth such as those bees you see in front of you no bees no honey everyone loves honey. where is the proof of the millions of people dying?? sounds like you are exaggerating and lying.
You don't just need to see it to believe it, you need to be there!! It's a most incredible, rewarding, experience; believe me, I was there--and with no protective gear, shooting the video!! No one got stung (the smoke does the trick)! And, btw, there's nothing to be scared about!
My granddad has a walnut tree in his backyard. I still remember collecting them off the ground as a kid and we got so many into a huge bucket, then he said we took too much and started throwing a few back - saying we should leave some for the squirrels.
i watch a guy named codys lab and he usually suits up just without the mask sometimes. from what ive seen sugar water and/or smoke make bees pretty docile about giving up their combs.i honestly believe my fear of bees has gone way down from seeing how chill they can be.wasps and killer bees though, i definitely wouldnt fuck with
I've worked mine without anything but smoke. I have started wearing the hood though, not to keep from getting stung, but to keep them from exploring my nose or ear.
I got stung once by the Bee on my eyelid, after 2 hours is the big massive lump. I couldn't see in one eye, went to the doctor and he gave me some antibiotics,I could never go near the Beehive now...
Wise man knows to never take more than you need, that's why there are seasons, and natural limits, it's only wise for man to live according to the seasons and limits.
@@the_panda_aulia7907 haha saya hanya menjawab pertanyaan anda..karna di kampung sya bnyak yg petani.madu..klo anda gak percaya silahkan ambil madu sendiri🤣
This Is The REAL RIGHT Way To Get Honey. You Shouldn't Have Take All The Honey Combs. Making A Honey Comb That Big Could Take A Few Months! Maybe Years! And If You Take All The Combs... Bees Could Have Never Been Seen Again. No More Sweet Honey. So Let's Hope That Peoples Who Sell Honey Like These Still And WILL Forever Exist!
That’s pretty interesting, I used to have bee hives in North Caroline and the honey was never runny like that. It looked the same depending on what ever is in bloom but I wonder if it had to do with climate or something
They just build the hive out in the open like that? No fucks given? That's awesome. Also how the hell did you find a hive that far out in the middle of the brush?
+Liramek it looked like they took all the capped honey. I could only see Brood cells left in the main comb. Although, maybe they have nectar stored in the empty brood cells?
these honeybees are different from the normal European ones commonly seen in America and Europe because the Giant Honey Bee hives hang on the branches like that, so they're easier to find
