Done a good job on the covers Alyssa. Just noticed at the end the foliage is against the plastic though. Try to make the enclosure a bit bigger next time or tie the side branches to the main stem then wrap. There’s a risk that frost that forms on the plastic will be transmitted through to the foliage. You should be ok as you have the additional layer overhead. Try to keep the enclosures as air tight as possible to trap as much warmth in as possible. No gaps at the top. Let the remaining mangoes ripen in a warm spot until you see deterioration on the skin. Mango and hog plum are in the same family so it’s not surprising you thought there was the hog plum flavour in the mango. Overall both of you have done a remarkable job on the project. Kudos to your partner for the input. Can see there’s been a lot of work put in there…but it’s the chempandak success that’s the best part.

Good to see a Mango 🥭 taste update. I’m growing Cotton Candy , Sweet Tart . Coconut Cream , Golak , Lemon Meringue and many more types from Ross Creek Nursery. Growing them here in Melbourne to see how they go ? And which does best ? They are about to go into there second winter 🥶 they are in grow bags so that gives me a chance to help there conditions but the time will come when they need to go into the ground. Rate of a 7 or 8 is good for Melbourne grown Mango so well worth growing if can be Successful. 👍

Wilson fruit size should be much bigger, the small fruit size & thin seeds indicate it's lack of pollination

That banana 🍌 flower doesn't taste very nice on its own when it is steamed although it's used in stir fries !
