In this video I show you my Earligrande Peach tree producing fruit in hot, dry climates. I’m in the Phoenix Arizona area.
Check out my blog at Gardenofluma.com
I provide more insight on gardening in hot, dry climates like the desert and details on growing various tropical and stone fruit trees.

Do you spray them in winter? Or is that area free of disease and stuff?

How old is this peach tree? And how did you amend the soil or shade it? I planted a healthy 15 gallon desert gold in early April. Even with mulch, been, and water, it's been struggling. I had to shade it June and July because all the leaves were burning off. The shadecloth blew off in the middle of August, but it still seems really miserable, pale little leaves. How many yrs did you shade yours? It looks so amazing.

My peach tree was purchased in 2016 as a 3gal. It gets some shade in the late afternoon due to a large ash tree. Other then that I've never shaded it. Peach trees need and want a lot of sun especially during fruiting. If you've ever been to Scnepf Farms in Queen Creek the peach orchards are full sun. How are you watering it? Are you feeding it? Where did you get the tree?

@@gardenofluma9697 I bought it from A&P nursery, I think it really was a healthy tree since it was doing great until the summer hit. My soil was xeriscaped compacted clay when we moved in, I dug out a hole for it and put some soil, etc, but didn't otherwise feed it. Maybe that's my problem. I put a little mulch, but maybe it wasn't enough. I had dug out a berm, and watered by filling it up with the hose every 3 days in the summer, more like once a week when its cooler. It hasn't grown at all and has more dead leaves than live ones right now. Should I just mulch more and feed it? Or maybe my hose method of filling up the berm is hurting it? Any suggestions very welcome!

@@hannahmakingrivendell4347 I actually live by A&P nursery. Seems like the plants I’ve gotten from there never do good!
