Im putting this in a reply here just in case you dont see my comment: From a survivor: Hey mr beard! I love your videos but as a person who knows nothing about youtube drama stuff I did not know david dobrik was cancelled for s*xual misconduct. As a teenage survivor its a lil triggering and I think it would be good to include a trigger warning, if youre worried about getting flagged put “TW: SA” Sa stands for s3xual assault and most survivors will know what that means. Another thing thats not necessary but could be helpful is puttinng time stamps to avoid the more triggering content such as the thing with jonah around 10:40 I know you did not intend to trigger or harm anyone in anyway, and I clearly see that you are trying to bring awareness and place the significance that those kind of jokes deserve to have, but for a sexual assault survivor, I would like to think about it as little as possible, so a warning would be amazing for future reference. Being very conscious of your diet doesn’t constitute an ED, but when it grows obsessive and disrupts your life it turns into a disorder. It’s very easy to turn being health-conscious to being health-obsessed (which is ironically not healthy)

Every single "mistake" that was outlined in this video is VERY CLEARLY hurtful to others, and David, an adult human, should know that. A 5 year old child would know that. He didn't make any mistakes. He made choices that resulted in his "friends" getting hurt and people being exploited and assaulted. If David really didn't know that these choices he made and things he did would hurt people, then he's an absolute idiot that has no sense of perception. If he wants to spin the narrative that he truly didn't realize that he was hurting people, then he needs to admit that he either has 0 intelligence or deliberately did not listen or look out for signs that he was hurting people. Either way, he should not have a platform if he's operating on those terms without proper supervision. There were so many signs along the way that people were hurt, emotionally and physically, by his actions. He didn't care to change his behavior when he saw this, so these were not mistakes. They were deliberate decisions he made.

Hey man I hope you're in a better place in life now. Being the "fat one" sucks ass- I never dealt with it but I got the opposite end of it. I was the skinny one who everybody called twig, harrassed, got asked invasive questions about whether my ribs were visible, and constantly told that I was ugly and lanky. I look back on it as bitterly funny, because I've been struggling with an eating disorder since I was a very small child. Being made fun of for your body is horrible, you don't deserve that no matter what your bodyfat % is.

it really brought up emotions and feelings i'd forgotten about for years. especially the "it wouldnt be the same without you." im glad you were able to bring this up with your friend group and they were able to grow past it. peace & love

@@SharkUsingaComputer i felt this. i was also the “fat one” and any time i’d go to a friends house, even their parents would be like oh want an extra pancake, want another piece of bread? or they’d make me more food than the other kids, there would always be more food on my plate. and i would be so embarrassed to the point where i would look around the entire time, see how much everyone else is eating, and then eat less than that. nobody ever talks abt how growing up as the fat kid traumatizes you for life, i still watch people eat to make sure i’m going at the “right” pace, and to make sure i haven’t eaten more than anyone else. it’s just so demeaning when you know everyone else around you sees you as fat. like you know they do, but they try to hide it. and then them going “omg ugh i’m just so fat” right in front of me, knowing i was bigger than everyone in the room 😃 i’d be like “oh idk what i am then” and it’s always the “ur so pretty ur so skinny!!!” the white lies, pretending like they don’t know exactly what you’re doing. being the far kid always made me feel like they kept me around to make them feel better abt their own insecurities. it rlly sucked growing up bigger than others, and it takes such a toll on how you look at things when you grow up.

Guys who advocate themselves as funny and nice are low key a red flag for me. Everyone has a shadow side, David is not comfortable showing his upfront, which is the scary thing. He made Taylor cry, stresses Natalie out, and underpays Jason on Views. Whatever we see on vlogs, his only a tiny fracture of what he is really like. We only think he is like this bc he exposes himself in that light, but when the camera is off, we don’t know his true colours, only close people can really know him. Outsiders like Cassandra, Liza, Gabbie, Jason, his close friends don’t count bc they probably grew up in a similar neighborhood with a similar outlook. I honestly think one day Jason and David are going to part ways because they just don’t see eye to eye. David has a lack of common sense or practicality and that’s with Natalie on his ass about everything. One day he’s only going to pull up his big boy pants when everything parts ways, he’s oblivious to it all because he has money. The only motivation is money. He will never learn unless he goes back to the beginning, or something far more traumatic happens, which results in actual legal action that he cannot defend himself against, even with a lawyers help.

Well if it makes you feel any better, shark week was always absolute dogshit. It's been run terribly. It doesn't help shark conservation, it doesnt teach anything about sharks, it perpetuates negative and harmful shark stereotypes. It's ridiculed multiple scientists (usually women, weird :/). It also falsified "facts" and fabricated horrible stories. It's awful. IDK why his friend didn't sue him after the excavator incident. I'd have sued David for all he's worth (admittedly not very much when you use a different definition of "worth", but still).

David can afford the best lawyers in this country so even then, he wouldn’t get into any real trouble. People like David have an entire team working for them. Lawyers, publicists, advisors etc. so he is always protected and told what to do. So suing David would not be easy.

@@ayla8345 The evidence is right there on video, though. David admitted to doing it himself. When the issue is that cut and dry, I don't think any amount of money would prevent a jury from ruling his actions as criminally negligent.

In my experience most men talk negatively about sex workers. Even and sometimes especially the ones consuming their content or services. I‘ve pretty much never heard a man say „Get that bag!“ regarding female sex workers. That attitude pretty much exclusively comes from other women and viewing sex work as real work and maybe even empowering is a pretty new concept in general. It kinda confuses me that your experience is so different.

Because on one hand sex work is work and sex workers should have the same rights as everyone else, but on the other hand, men are usually the ones who benefit the most from sex work, and many sex workers are in very pressuring and coercive environments that we shouldn’t ignore

I think it will be very challenging to find a way that women who really want to do it can do so safely while addressing the fact that the commodification of women‘s bodies is inherently sexist - and let‘s be honest, dangerous for mental and physical health. What I was confused about was the experience OP described regarding men‘s view on sex workers which doesn‘t match my experience at all.
