Astros trying to fool everybody with their slow start. I don't buy it, they're gonna be at full strength at some point and with the weak AL West wide open, they're gonna be there in the playoffs. And I don't even root for them
Theres overwhelming proof Altuve didnt cheat people need to stop tarnishing his legacy hes the Greatest Astro ever period btw Hector Neris was never the closer
@@savage751 he did do something moron he got pissed every single time they tried to bang the trash can stop tarnishing his legacy HE DID NOT CHEAT dude has a family a wife and daughter how would you like it if I trashed you you probably have a family too DEAL WITH IT HES NO CHEATER he's not guilty dude because he didn't cheat
@@PurelyBaseballYTEasier than ever to make the playoffs and the AL West is weak this year. They are certainly capable of winning their division or at least getting a wild card spot.
This Yankee fan agrees. They're not dead until they're dead. They have too much talent to be a sub .500 team all year and the postseason format saw a team that won 83 games last year go to the WS.
This hasn't aged well but also this video is filled with errors. 1. Who is Jeff Click, his name is James Click. 2. Neris was never the Astros closer it was Pressly (who is still on the roster). There were other statements that I took issue with but those two were the are the most egregious errors.
They've played one of the toughest schedules in baseball with minor league starting pitchers due to multiple injuries. Now that they are getting healthy they are back to their winning ways. They will be back in the playoffs AGAIN this team is too good. The Astros are inevitable.
They've played one of the toughest schedules in baseball while being plaqued by pitching injuries and losing lots of close games. Look how they're playing now. I predict they will win the division again.
@@reesebeast1949They’ll implode and the Astros will take the division again, it’s inevitable. Mariners have a bottom 5 offense and have been skating by on luck going their way thus far in one-run games. A regression to the mean is due.
A dynasty is a team that wins at least 3 championships in a minimum 5 year span they have 2 championships and 1 of them don’t count and we all know why
If only the Mariners could hit this would be their year to take the division. Alas they and Texas have made a pact to be so mid that Houston can shit themselves for a month and a half and still win the division.
That’s a fair take, but by that reasoning, who was the last dynasty? The Giants? They couldn’t seem to do anything in odd numbered years? The Red Sox? Each team was wildly different. The Astros have had the most sustained success, with a roughly consistent core, in the 2000s and, unlike the Dodgers, have actually won two World Series (with questionable legitimacy). I’d say they are the closest thing to a dynasty we have seen since the 90s Yankees.
@siediousswift8088 no other team in MLB has done anything close to what the Astros have done since 2017. 4 WS appearances in 7 years is crazy. Not an easy thing to do in baseball.
Not counting 2017 the Astros are 3-3 in the ALCS and 1-2 in the WS. The Dynasty Yankees were 6-0 in the ALCS (missing two) and 4-2 in the World Series including the threepeat. These are no where near comparable. Astros aren't anywhere close to a dynasty.
I like how you said the 2022 team was arguably the best of the dynasty when the derp ass Mariners were basically a "just walk Yordan" away from sweeping and even then took them for all they were worth through effectively 4 games.
That Mariners team was hot going into that series. After a slow start in the Wild Card round they blew the doors off of the Blue Jays and then proceeded to lose to the Astros by 4 pitches over that 3 game series. The Astros looked like the best team in baseball that year and no one played them tighter than the Mariners. But the Astros are also cheating toolshreds 🤪
As an Astros fan, it’s not over till its really over. We’re probably not signing Bregman Back so we can give that money to Tucker who’s given more to the team this year. Pitching is getting better, and Ronels suspension is just wierd given how other players were allowed to wash hands and change gloves. Altuve is still cooking and Loperfido, Meyers, Dubon and Tucker make up a solid OF Core while chas is still out. We’ll probably make a trade or two here in June/July for a starter I bet. Maybe even trade Bregman
Guess what? Astros are backkkkkk 😂 The team might stumble badly but in the end Astros heat up and make it to postseason. And Astros are dangerous in postseason. Oh BTW… in 2017 ALCS Yankees scored a total of 3 runs in the 4 games they lost. It was the pitching that beat Yankees. And in the WS, Dodgers scored total of 5 runs in the 4 games they lost. Both Yankees and Dodgers lost cause of Astros’ pitching. 🤣
ALL teams skirt around the edges of the rules. Simple. But I have a question that no one has answered properly. Why was it perfectly cool for pitchers to use stick em etc to artificially increase spin rate etc but as soon as batters flip the tables, everyone is outraged?
Astros off to a bad start but, I can see them being atleast close to a .500 team. They still have a chance to make the playoffs but, I don’t think they will win it all. Defiantly are on a slight decline now for the years to come.
Well, they are pretty ignorant. Especially since Altuve didn't cheat, but we wouldn't expect them to actually look into it. I mean all teams cheat, sign stealing has been a thing as long as signing, but with advanced technology, it was only a matter of time. The Yankees suck, their fans suck, and they definitely cheat, it is what it is, a game.
I sometimes wonder if im the only one who realizes there are 162 games in a baseball season. I get most people are football fans and have that mindset but wow its way too early to say there dynasty has crumbled. I thing the Astros will win the west still. I know Yankees fans think and hope the baseball season is only 50 games but its not. Let the season playout. The yankees wish they were the astros. The yankees have benefited from a flawed system for 100 years. They just throw money at problems and for 80 years it worked so they cant cry about cheating.
I definitely understand theres 162. But only 3 teams have made the playoffs since 1901, after winning 12 or fewer games in their first 36. Long season, Astros are so talented. but based on odds, its stacked against them
@@PurelyBaseballYT I literally told my coworker last week that i could see 2 teams win 15 games in a row at some point this season. The Astros and the Rays. The orioles i think are good but not the yankees. I think the Yankees have below average pitching and are hot now. I wouldnt be surprised if the Rays caught them for second place by the end of the season. The rays have good prospects ready to come up at any moment and have a winning record with no name players. The Astros were just in a slump. The west is a weak division and if the season had started last week the astros would be in first. The astros also have Altuve who might be the most clutch player in baseball.
The Astros never had a dynasty. Winning 2 WS and (one of them was an asterisk) in a 6 year span isn’t a dynasty. Go look at the Chiefs that’s a dynasty. The last baseball dynasty was the Giants 2010, 2012, and 2014
No asterisk. In 2017 ALCS Yankees scored total 3 runs in 4 games they lost. And in WS, Dodgers scored total 5 runs in the 4 games they lost. They lost due to Astros pitching 😂 7 straight ALCS, 4 WS appearances, and 2 championship. That sounds like a dynasty. Btw Tim Duncan won 5 rings in his long career. He didn’t win it in 5 straight years but Spurs won them in 15 years. Spurs were a dynasty.
@@timmyg831 lol no 😂. Nobody respects the 2017 Astros championship but Astros fans. Winning 1 clean championship in a 7 year span isn’t a dynasty. Go look at the Chiefs they won 3 championships since 2019 that’s a dynasty
All the people that have to watch this videos to feel better about their season already been over 🥹😁😆😂🤣 don’t worry we will save you a seat in out stadium 🏟️ and put the trash can right next to you so you can cry while you bang it for us!!! Thank you! 🙏🏽
2 chips in the last decade isnt a dynasty. teams arent dynastys before they win multiple in a row. the last dynasty was the yankees. who won multiple chips back to back
@@iamhungey12345 Also say what you want about 2017, but they're officially credited with 2 WS rings for the past 7 years as well which would also put them over the braves in the 90's
The MLB did not want to go into the direction of the NCAA in that records & championships are vacated. This is why the Houston Astros kept their 2017 Championship. The MLB was not going to collect the 2017 Championship rings. Teams go through eras. The Houston Astros winning era may be coming to an end.
Before the Guardians series, I would have taken any kind of statement that the Astros were going downhill seriously. Now, with how weak the AL West is, and how well the Astros have played against the Rangers and As, no, I have to say this video's pretty out of date.
As bad as the first ring is optically.....eh, I really don't look at it as something that "rigged" the series in their favor as much as some others. And this is coming from someone who is glad to watch them lose. The bigger thing is I just don't think you can be a sports "dynasty" with only two rings. You kinda need at least three. At least, that is how it has already been measured in my time. There's a reason why we don't consider the 87-91 Twins a dynasty, or the 80s Dodgers a dynasty, or even the Big Red Machine a dynasty, as great as that team is. People don't call the 80s Pistons a dynasty, either, even though they're right there in the middle of the Lakers and Celtics, and right before the Bulls ascended. Neither are the 90s Rockets one.
Astros dominance over the AL is over. I refuse to say dynasty because of 2017. Imo, they failed to rebuild their farm system as soon as the core guys were getting older, which is a big factor to where they are now
Way too many happy people in these comments; they still have 2 titles in 6 years; and have been to 6 straight AlCS’s; y’all have to stay mad. They didn’t cheat in the playoffs. Baseball’s Not Explained literally explains this; go watch it fellas.
Astros!!!! ❤❤❤ let’s go!!! For our third!!! Y’all haters!! Y’all are invited to bang the trash can for us! Thank you! That’s the only way yall can get to an post season game 😂
This video aged like old milk. Came out too soon, because now in August, 4 months later, the Astros are leading their division and are 4 games ahead of the Mariners. So, no the dynasty isn't over.
You literally haven’t done any research. You said Altuve cheated as an example and that’s overwhelming proof that he didn’t. C’mon man. And I’m a Rays fan. You’re literally just talking like you’re reading clickbait “info” off the internet.
Ronel Blanco is promising. We need Luis Garcia and Mcullers back. Our pitching staff is talented yet very shaky and inconsistent. One of the most high powered offenses with Altuve, Alvarez, Tucker and the rest of em
You want to know why all the players got immunity? So they would not out other teams like the Yankees (from whom Carlos Beltran brought the method).....many of whom were later outed by other players. The Astros were the team who got caught. What teams could absorb losing most of their starting rotation and suffering through Jose Abreu. And Neris was never the closer.
@@noriskgaming8312The fact is that your favorite team was almost certainly cheating. You all continue to perform your own trickery to avoid admitting that fact, such as “it was before the memo,” or, “it didn’t help,” or “it wasn’t as bad as the Astros!” You are all hypocrites. Just accept this complicated world and situation.
@@mike-0451 Astros were the worst of the bunch, I think that you need to stop trying to place this on other teams and admit the the 2017 Astros were a good team but that couldn't win without their sign stealing which was not the case for the 2018 Red Sox, which are the other winners in the sign stealing era.
@@noriskgaming8312Sports hypocrites are always the worst hypocrites. It doesn’t matter what your team did; you will find a way to mollify your sins until the internal stability of your “spotless” ego is sufficiently protected.
James Klick leaving was a HUGE MISTAKE! But people around MLB outside of Houston don’t give a rats ass about it and are praying to god that this disgrace of a team gets eliminated before the ALCS! Especially the Dodger and Yankee fans! Injuries and age are finally starting to take their toll and hopefully end this dynasty! Once every member of that cheating squad is traded or retires, the Astros will finally stop being thought of as villains and can start off fresh like every other team. With age, it might come sooner rather than later
"The Astros stink" is music to my ears. They have been cheating since 2017, a pitcher just got caught cheating. They were so arrogant and entitled after 2017 was revealed, cheering against them now is so sweet!
