The only way to save this line is have NBA legends like Jordan, Kobe, Iverson, and Duncan come in every wave. Asking price of 50USD is too much for Hasbro, some SH Figuarts are even less than 50USD, and they are far superior than this.
Hasbro doesn’t include flight stands, trading cards or NFT’s in their standard release marvel legends. How much do you think each marvel legend would cost if they did? Standard marvel legends are $26 so I’m assuming almost $45 if it included all those plus multiple hands and accessories
Cards will be worth something later in time for sure. Whether it's because the line dies and becomes rare or if you collect all to have the complete set.
As far as I know tattoos are copyright protected so they'd be open for a lawsuit if they didnt get permision from the artist, and if they did they might have to pay the artist to feature their work, Im thinking they decided not to put tattoos on them to not open themselves to more troubles and to cut costs for more paint apps, maybe wrestlers have a special thing when it comes to their licensing rights, but I have heard that recently another company had to change the tattoos on a wrestler cause they got sued by the artist so they had to go with the way of giving the figure fake tattoos that just somewhat resembled the originals.
Takes me back to when the original starting lineup had B-ball players in it, Jordan, Robinson, Ewing, Bird, Pippen, Magic none had tattoos at all because professionals didn't get ink.
Thanks for keeping this honest. “If” they ever have Jordan or Kobey, I might get it. Otherwise, I agree with you. Too pricey and low interest in NBA. For that cost at least throw in the tattoos😂
For $50 it should’ve included a backboard… Honestly the Nike shoes & logos aren’t worth the $25 price hike… Just do generic shoes & sell it for $24.99.
I’m glad that price dropped to $29. I bought 2, I think that’s fair but I have no clue how much licensing was to. NBA the players & Nike. So at $29 I can’t complain. But these remind me so much of the ones in the 90’s. Besides articulation.
They messed up the sizes, the shoulder sculpts, and the lack of tats. Faces, articulation, and shoes were all good, but without the other things, the price killed this line.
I can get your point . But at the same time I do understand where the price is coming from . NBA , Nike , under armour etc those license are not cheap ,,even for the spiderverse figures most of the brands didn't get Nike license
@@hrishikeshsaikia476 well I saw the price for those nba figures at Hasbro Pulse, they cost $50 which is just pain in all of our wallets. I find myself wondering if this figure is really worth $50.
@@VVizdachozenone97 standard bare bones repainted marvel legends are $26 retail now. So I think $50 is appropriate for figures of actual real life people, their likeness shoe brands , team uniform all that cost money. Are you buying the new Blob figure ? $56 before tax is a crazy price too but people who are passionate will still buy 😅 and also like I said initially where else are you going to get a 6 inch NBA player action figure from?? That’s not in the $100 price range 😂 also these are online exclusives to Pulse and some other sport websites, will not be in stores so the exclusivity on top of everything adds to that. ALSO does marvel legends include a flight stand, exclusive trading card, NFT. And multiple hands for under $30? Didn’t think so… that’s a ultra mega deluxe in the eyes of marvel legends
when you say black series scale "shorter" you probably mean compared to legends, but going by CORRECT 1:12 scale standard (1 inch = 1 foot!!!) black series actually scales ACCURATELY in most cases...in any case, I think lebron scales ok with black series
I’ll be doing a Doncic and Tatum review in a couple days. Those are my favorite players and only ones I wanted. Also tell me what marvel legends or G.I joe cost $19.99 nowadays? Include flight stand trading card, multiple hands with accessories how is that only worth $19.99 that’s beyond a deluxe marvel legend
Mcfarlane did better with his statues. Most sports fans aren't really into the articulation thing either, so I feel these figures really aren't for most.
It’s probably accurate to be honest once you take licensing into it. Sports collectors are a different beast to toy collectors they have the money and don’t mind spending it
@@snapshotsreviews4967 exactly toy community doesn’t want to know the thousands of dollars I’ve spent going to nba games buying nba jerseys etc. On top of the thousands I’ve spent on my figures and collectables. These are my two top favorite hobbies combined price is obsolete in comparison 😅
@@snapshotsreviews4967 I'm a sports memorabilia collector, had a ton of SLUs as a kid, love action figures...and I think the price of these is outrageous
Fair enough. Me personally I still think it's steep but I'm glad people are enjoying these and are happy to have their favorite players represented on their shelves
@@shinygaara1634 they have a mafex Luka Doncic and Jayson Tatum ? I personally don’t like Lebron only watched this video because I watch most of his videos tbh
I cant stand nba but these guys look great minus not having tats. Giannis is in my sights but ill wait for a review. If they made nfl players my goodness i'd be broke lol
Who y’all want for nfl figures? I really want Justin fields since I’m a bears fan but I highly doubt they make a bears player off the bat since they’ve been bad all year besides fields shinning. Other player I want badly is jalen hurts and I think he’ll be a possibility for sure
Anyone make any jokes about Lebron’s hairline yet? No? That’s fair. There’s been enough irl anyway lol. I do appreciate the premium looking packaging tho. Price is just a bit too close to import pricing without quite reaching import quality. It’s close, I can see NECA figures like this being $50 if it included a bunch more accessories, but I’m not sure Hasbro is quite there yet. But the pinless joints & photorealistic tech are definitely steps in the right direction.
This line won't even make it to wave 3. I'm 40, my dad got me into these when I was 4. The original line gave us baseball, basketball, football, hockey and soccer players. I feel they are gonna lean to hard into the new WNBA(woke national basketball association) in hopes of america hating people like LeBron buy their toy. Good luck
