The Sail Barge goes for 5x original Haslab price, and the pack-in Yak Face sells for $150-250 on eBay. The Tonnika Sisters will be worth as much as the entire Cantina in a few years by themselves.
Sure, Let’s agree on the potential future value. Will they keep those exclusive to the set, or will they be available without the set at a later date???
@@jayboystoysI commented elsewhere…Haslabs has confirmed that wuher and the sisters will only come with the cantina. They are not making them on a different card back for the public to buy down the road. Nobody is getting burned here on that part… they have also confirmed that if additional tiers are unlocked, those additional figure ARE likely to be repackaged down the road for individual purchase. The sisters and wuher, no
There answer is always “no plans at this time”. You will see Wuhar and Tonika sisters packaged separately down the road. I guarantee. Plus, why state “with exclusive card back” for each figure if you weren’t going to repackage them later? When that happens, watch the backlash. It might be the end of Star Wars Haslab forever.
Thanks for covering the details of this cool set. It's too large of a collectible for me, but for those who can find space to display it, looks great. I forget what the floor looks like in the movie, but that would be something to consider planning with the Cantina set. A SW Micro Galaxy Cantina would be great too, along with Jabba's Katana Sail Barge.
I know that collectors love these diorama sets, butbthis doesn't look like $400 worth if toys. Jabnas Sailbarge was only $100 more and it eas a far more impressive toy and playset.
Yep the Sail barge was very impressive and seems hard for them to bet that project. None of these Haslabs feel like they are worth the price these days
I'm in the exact boat that you're talking about in this video. However, I have excellent credit, and I might do a deluxe and a base.I'm definitely getting a base. I wish I knew what the difference in the packaging would be. Will the Deluxe just come with an extra box, or will it be a whole new mock-up. If I had the guess, I'm thinking they're just gonna put it in a second box. for the additional pieces. Good input, Mike!
If the Joe Haslab wasn't on the horizon I would fund this even though I'm not 100% feeling it and also not a SW TVC collector . With that said if it had a plastic floor and a modular top and walls where this could be displayed from an outside POV I would have jumped in immediately. My other issue is Frigin and the modals..are they going to have a re-release..they are a super important to the cantina..
Admittedly, it's a nice (although incomplete) looking playset. I just can't justify spending $400 for what amounts to some plastic walls and a bar. Maybe if Hasbro had thrown in a floor and some more figures to populate the cantina with (including Figrin D'an & The Modal Nodes), I'd think about it.
I bought it in deluxe but I'd like the other haslabs I bought before they sell me another. I bought the Ghostbusters trap and the ghost x 5. I'm donating 2 ghosts to fisher house and giving one to a friend, ill take one out and the other ill save.
I think two factors are causing Hasbro to push 3.75": 1) $$$ Hasbro is in the business of increasing profits. And I think profit margins are higher on smaller figures. Similar to Legends vs Masterpiece. Also Hasbro makes consumer toys found at Walmart, their prices can only ever go so high. As 6" prices creep up, Hasbro is moving away from its preferred price point more and more. Especially with the economy sleepy, people are even more so looking for the low prices. 3.75 figures are available for $20 or less. 2) Increased manufacturing ability. Some of the 3.75 figure release now are vastly superior in quality to the figures of previous decades. JoyToy has really demonstrated what is possible. I have bought few of their WarHammer figures and they are nice quality.
I don't see the value for what's on offer. It's a dollhouse and those typically cost $100-200. It should have a floor board by default or at LEAST as a stretch goal. But it's going to fund anyway.
Wish I could get two deluxes, but the price is just too high when everyone is broke and Hasbro didn't give us as much time to fund as other HasLabs. Probably only buying 1 base set.
all pros and cons aside, it's way past 50% in 3 days. it'll fund, it'll reach most if not all stretch goals. not a weeks, 3 days. that's before the normal lull before picking up speed again in 3 weeks.
I am getting one deluxe so i have the full set, hope it is backed, would be a shame if it fails. We will never get a Death Star if this crashes and burns.
Hmmm... Yeah I don't like how unfinished it looks. It looks like a customizer put this together the way the walls don't really line up. I mean, they could have had some kind of covering for the top of the booths and bar just to make it look more complete. And while it looks good when they put the camera at action figure level, most of us will be viewing it from above where it looks unfinished at least in my opinion.
@tydiriumhanger1320 I don't think we're getting any more Taintive 4, then what we've already gotten. Same maybe true for Sand Crawler, the Disney version.
if this funds, it won’t be by much, which means far fewer will exist, which means the after market value will be through the roof as it will be scarce. There are a tremendous amount of Razor Crests and there will be a tremendous amount of Ghosts on the secondary market.

That whole value thing has been debunked many times since stuff like galactus and sentinel can be had for near retail now .
Galactus and Sentinel were sold in huge numbers but if this barely makes it across the finish line it would be rarer than those. Just is there still Star Wars Demand?

@@julythrunov one example doesnt disprove what i said . Value is in the eye of who buying it and just beccause some price is on it doesnt mean anyone is going to pay that . I almost never pay list price on ebay . Patience is a virtue if they hold it long enough the price is going down . Everybody thought they would get rich on every haslab but like i said most things can be had at retail or a little more . Prove me wrong .

@@tydiriumhanger1320 the problem with that like all crowd funds is anyone who really wants it can get it since everyone knows it will be gouged later . Only a few will mess around with it after market . Is this not logical ?
Its a beautiful piece of artwork its a must years of buying loose Cantina figures,,but it would have sold better if they would have through all figues in just for the 5 an kept it like that ,, because after it ends ,,the people who don't back it,,,just watch how they start complaining just like with the Razer Crest and the ghost alot of Black series collectors are hating ,but they need too understand if you guys hating on this price ,what about a up scale cantina for six inch figures ?
Haslabs has since doubly confirmed that the sisters and wuher will not be made on different card backs and will only ever exist with the cantina. They won’t be made for the public to purchase. So you won’t get burned and see them released later
Just seemed strange that they said the cardbacks will not be used again but not so much the characters. Why not say you can not get these figures any other way
Wuher & the Tonnika sisters have ‘no plans to release in the future’ as per what Hasbro said on their stream- the other tier figures will be released again with different card backs. It’s all clearly stated.
It’ll fund, maybe not all the tiers, but to me it just looks cheep… the sculpting is fine and all, the figures look awesome… but figures can’t even sit in the booths…! There’s no leg room. The price though…damn! Maybe more outside, and just something to cover the side domes? Then maybe…
BOOOOOO!!! I had the Creature Cantina when i was a CHILD in the 70s and LOVED IT. it was FUN. it had features, and for the age when i got it, i didn't care if it looked like the movie one as much, it was something fun to play with.
I think it's just un finished and cheep looking. It looks good one the inside at eye level. It's more of a cantina facade/ backdrop then a playset. Just disappointed. To me a cantina playset should have been a complete cantina building inside and out. With floorr and a removable top and panels. It's sucks I can make one(and I am good at thatl) but now it comes down to the exclusive figures. Buying on the after market. Hearing that the girls probably going to fetch $200 each. So I guess I will just try to get $500 in the short time they gave. Not to mention haslab gijoe and sdcc exclusive stuff coming up. FOMO is real 😅
@tydiriumhanger1320 yes especially since they said yesterday that the 3 that comes with it will never be available again and the stretch goals won't be released unless they are unlocked.
Looks nice, but priced to high for a diorama set. Personally I think this is a money grab as Hasbro knows that buyers will spend nearly twice as much buying figures to go with it. You can count me out. Hasbro needs to stick with vehicles. If this would have been a remake of the Imperial Shuttle, Falcon or Sandcrawler it would easily surpass the 8k goal.
One word and One Word only OVER PRICED Currently sitting at 4333 backers. it should have been $400 for Everything, including all Tiers and the Other sied/wing. Most of these HasBlow HasLabs should be coming in around the $300 Price Point. Sadly, I suspect not only will it be backed for all the wrong reasons, but a Solid 50+% of them will be Scalpers.
@tydiriumhanger1320 500 bucks a a lot of money. Even though I like the Cantina, it's just lackluster. It feels like they just kind of threw it together. 😕. Personally, I feel a floor would have brought it all together . I backed it anyway. I felt it would be perfect for world building.

It doesnt have a top OR bottom 😂 And that whole fomo ' it will be soooo expensive if u dont get it now has been proven wrong many times .
I have collected 3.75 figures for 40 years now. I do not have a Cantina display because my available space is reserved for more important Star Wars dioramas (most recent is the Boba/Jabba throne room). I am hesitant to purchase this HasLab offering because it is $100 overpriced. I may get it towards the end of funding if it hits 17,000. Right now I think it will just get past 11,000. Without all the unlocks this is likely a pass.
I don't believe many over 8,000 will sell. I HOPE at least 8,000 sell, but I think many of the older OT guys that wanted this 15-20 years ago, may no longer be around to know or care. The hobby shifted a lot since then. While many think a Cantina is a lock, I don't believe that anymore.
Zero play feature for a single scene, and you will require a custom shelf. It's a terrible haslab and it will back based on figure fomo for two pieces of cardboard.
