The Giant-Man and the Wasp two pack was a masterpiece in design, execution, and marketing. I did back the Giant-Man HasLab, and I never felt better about doing so than I did when I got that surprise shipping notice less than 48 hours after ordering the two-pack. The 2024 “How Ya Like Me Now?” Marvel Legends Team World Tour is officially underway. Well done, gentlemen. Well done.
Another great show guys. I didn't back the Giant-Man Haslab because I am one of those collectors that simply doesn't have the real estate for that big of a figure. I liked the idea of keeping the prices for Haslab's relatively affordable, however I am one who misses the action figure tiers. Galactus was ideal as the price was expected and the tiers made for a complete (somewhat) set. I do think the Hasbro ML team missed the mark on the two-pack. Hindsight being 20/20 would have had this set ready during the Haslab campaign to boost sales. I didn't get the 2-pack either as I need something to accurately display their power sets - the Wasp never had wings in human size & Hank's should've came with a translucent growing effect. If the 2-pack came with miniatures - I would have been all over it like a fat kid on Skittles.
I 100% would have jumped on that 2 pack if they had the minis. I wonder if it would have pushed the haslab to have the 2 pack coming out at the same time as the campaign. I feel like it's more fun coming out now to get the hype built back up but also could have helped to see what could go with your haslab when it was being offered.
Good guesses are around major cons for haslab reveals so they can show it to a lot of people in person so times like sdcc and nycc. We ever really know for sure but it would also hopefully be after we start seeing giant man get delivered. If you’re subscribed you can be sure we’ll start putting out speculation videos as the time draws near and then several videos when it is announced.
I liked what I was seeing with Giant Man, but I honestly don’t know when I’ll have the space time to display him, so I bought it more as speculation than intending to open it. I figure, worst case scenario, as a Haslab, even if it doesn’t appreciate dramatically, it’ll at least retain its value like Galactus. Like y’all said, though, since considerably fewer are being made than Galactus, I suspect it’ll be worth more in the long run, relative to it’s retail price.
I think that’s a great idea. And in the end if you decide you want him then you got him at retail. If you want to sell worst case you get your money back and you helped someone out. I do think he’ll go up in value though.
I really had to get the Sentinel because X-Men were the gateway with MLs for me (and here I am 600+ figures later). FOMO got me for Galactus in the end. He is a damn cool figure and justifiable to be a super-huge one. When Giant Man was initially announced, I thought it would be an easy pass. I have the Toy Biz BAF, and he’s not some hugely important character to me. But then FOMO took over again, especially at the lower price point. So, in the end, I am 3 for 3 on (backed) ML HasLabs. Like you mentioned, I only cared about the extra character tiers on the car. Of course, it would have been disappointing to get that censored Madelyne. Go full underboob or go home. Right?
did you back the EOV or pass on that one. I think we both would have backed the Sentinel if we were all the way back in but I don't think we did our deep dive back to figures until right after it ended. I'm super happy I got Galactus. I don't think they will ever top him.
The thought orocess baffles me because the Skrull head would have only funded if more were bought. Waiting for it to fund before buying more makes it less likely to fund, and in this case, it was ridiculously close to funding the skrull head.
good analysis team I agree about Haslab selling you stuff with those that you don t need, it should be cheaper instead, or do packages, extra parts, or extra figs it s clear to me now that I always go for what looks good to me comics as a kid, and now the pricey figs I never read anything about giant man.... and neither silver surfer, I don t like his look, but I plan on getting surfer as he looks cool... he s a particular case, as all my legends are what I read as a kid. but figs add even more now, as comics are not what they used to be, simple! and since I pick from Joes and Indy, characters such as og Nick Fury, Cap Am, red skull, all mix so well together, I really enjoy it. to me, the sentinel is still the best thing ever, Galactus? ok, but he should be taller, no? if I consider the number of combinations I can use with a giant fig... sentinels are unbeatable... they fit just about ANY scenario just my Joes vs 2 sentinels would rock my universe, D. I m now working on my Cobra fighting arena [25%] picked big boa and croc master as gladiators, old Hammond and Henry Jones are first contestants, lol. I spared no expenses, D I admit I m really excited about that dio now basically, a vs scene like MK with Cobra Commander and high rank as background modok, baron von struker, madam hydra, ultron, red skull as invited guests, until Dr doom finally joins, lol. yeah, I m going to have fun with this bros so now you know... good show team
That sounds like an awesome set up. I’m personally really happy with how big galactus is. Any bigger and I don’t think I’d have room for him. I love the idea of mixing lines to make them fit the stories we all want to tell and display as collectors.
The Giant Man is my first Haslab, it seemed affordable, and fun. I have zero interest in the zombie's head, though, it just reminds me of the Skrull head which we'll never get.
That's what i've been wondering for a while. For folks like you that get multiple lines, how many Haslabs can you get before you run out of space. I only have Galactus and I really don't have much room for another. Maybe one more that's it.
@thestrongcollectors we brought a mansion, l have three man- caves even they are nearly stuffed full. I also have a massive Marvel comics collection all the way back to FF1 to present of every Marvel legacy title.
Yes I love this video that Giant man is awesome that was straight gold from haslab I backed it day one and I got my wasp and Hank about a week or two ago I think and who every didn't back it I feel sorry for you 💯😜👍
I backed all 3 Marvel Haslab's, except for the Hell Charger one. When Ryan talked about the tiers being already included in the base price. Had me done with the Hell Charger even more. Honestly, what's the point in tiers now, sine the truth (that we all sorta knew already)came about now. Since the "tiers" are already included in the base price, stop holding the "tiers" hostage for more $. But hey, that is the greed of a multi-million corporation, right? I just hope that Hasbro does the right thing and "surprise" everyone who backed the Haslab with the Skrull head since it was actually already paid for, lol.
Oh you know what? that would be soo interesting if they did put the extra Skurll head in there. I bet it would make so many people's day and also make a bunch of people mad because "I would have backed it if I would have known the head was part of it.
I only backed one Haslab Giant Man but wish I had purchased three. What stopped me from doing so was all the controversy and negativity surrounding the offering that made the whole experience completely unenjoyable. If the Hasbro team is going to do a Fin Fang Foom, then I hope they structure the offering in a different way than the last one because honestly, I don't care at all about Fin Fang Foom as a character and don't really see the appeal. I would rather have a slightly smaller Clint Barton Goliath and a Bill Foster Black Goliath for the next Haslab so that they could be alternately displayed with the Avengers teams.
I would like those characters to be more in the 12 inch price range. There was a lot of negativity which I don't think was really warranted but you know "fan" love to complain.
An alot of people was hating on the Giant man They didnt want too back it because they knew that Toybiz Giant man price was going too plumish into the ground ,an everyone aint really going too want that Toybiz one their going too want that haslab one ,so thank god
@@thestrongcollectors yes sir I have the Toybiz one as well but I've put him away he's still a classic too me I'm waiting and hoping they would make the classic Giant man Gaioth I might be spelling he's name wrong the black dude with the G on He's belt marvel universe that came with the 3.75 Thor/cyborg, figure he's made by Toybiz I believe he's like the same mold as Toybiz Giant man,i have him as well he's put up as well just waiting for haslab or who ever too update him
I haven't 'backed ' any has-slab' projects and probably never will. Not because I'm cheap, but because esthetically I'm not impressed. The sentinel is good, galactus is good, but the transformers is crap. Stuff coming out of China, 3- rd party is way,way better for the $$$.😂❤
what about preorders though? I totally get not liking crowdfunds though. At least from companies like Hasbro.

@@thestrongcollectors i can only get toys by preorder since hunting is extinct here ,however i only order at stores where i pay when it come in stock .
oh that makes sense. and I do that too (amazon is that way right?) Don't love the idea of paying for a figure upfront (except for small kickstarts like AWOK, Savage Crucible, Legendari) or unless there's a discount for doing it like with Mythic Legions.

@@thestrongcollectors yea amazon bbts and entertainment earth u pay when they in stock .
i keep trying to watch this show but this is not a show for serious collectors it's for the bargain bin collectors everything is about price and it makes me sad or aggravated,
Had zero interest in the Giantman Haslab, nor the Hell-NO-Charger, but did get Galactus (in spite of them screwing us on that damned DOOM head... that was a waste. We could have used blast effects or another herald, or a Jack Kirby figure... ANY-EFFING-THING BUT A DAMNED DOOM HEAD, that like 5 people will EVER use for anything besides a paperweight or trash...) I'm happy for anyone who wanted the Giantman and could get one, though. It just wasn't anything I cared about... Mainly because I don't plan on having an original Avengers team specific display for my collection. The one that I really wanted, besides Galactus, which I did fund, was the Sentinel, which I was cheated out of being able to fund, thanks to my credit card company taking a day too long to apply my payment so that I could purchase... 🤬🤬🤬
@thestrongcollectors Yeah, had my money all set and ready to go, and should have even had time to spare, but noooo... the card company chooses THAT particular time to wait on processing the payment, and then I missed the deadline by a day. I'm still not happy about that, BUT on a positive note, I have a friend who came along into my path later and he's got an extra one that he's going to sell me for a really good price, so it's on the horizon!
