Thank you these videos are very helpful! I have a beautiful blue hybrid angel that paired with a marble I have and I've always wanted to breed. Only my second and 4th batch have yielded baby angels but with you advice I hope to become much better at it. Thanks for sharing your tips. Look forward to seeing more videos and hope one day my setups can be half as nice as yours.
Hey Mike. Thanks for the series. Never tried to hatch angels before but my marbles are going buck wild!!! Going to try this method here since the eggs keep disappearing in my planted 55 community tank
Thanks Mike your videos have been very helpful. Question for you. When you are incubating the eggs in he jar, that's not tank water correct? Straight from the tap chlorinated? Just want to make sure your not starting with tank water. About to move mine over soon. Thanks
My silvers female started laying eggs on the filter, first time. She chases the male silver away and the gold and my 2 marbles stay on the opposite side.
+Mike's Fish Room Thanks, But i was just thinking of buying a breeding Pair, a guy name name FishFancier on aquabid sells pairs, which i do live very close by (Literally Down The Street) and the only one i buy my angels from. He also sales his angels for a very good price. So should i buy a pair? Or wait it out?
+johnathan ramirez Thats a pretty rare situation that you could take advantage of. I know if it were my purchase I would look at body symmetry , behavior, and of course price. But it's all up to you and what you like. The best part of this hobby is its your hobby. 2 out of my 3 pair mated after I bought them. The zebra pair was bought at a lfs and they couldn't tell they had paired off. I bought them for $20 . Wish I lived next to an Angel guru!
Mike's Fish Room Well, I can get the angels cheaper than what he sells for on aquabid, only because he enjoy seeing young ones get into the hobby,i can get a true pair for like 20-30$.. He's a really cool guy. He has a whole greenhouse filled with angels. And interviewing him would be great, I am just not well equipped for it, nor do i talk well infront of the camera lol.
Damn I was just getting into that and it ended ..... now I have to go check to see if you have uploaded another video or two ..... Before I do I have to ask a few questions ... 1 .. Peroxide on the eggs ? I've never heard or seen this before and I think it's interesting 2... What does it do to the eggs ? Does it just keep them super clean ?? 3... Where's the next video I need to watch it 😂😂 I also know someone who might like this so I'll share it with them 👏👏👏
I'll have the second upload up in a few hours. These are the hatching methods of the breeder that I bought my Philippine blue Angels from. The HP and chlorine act as a sterilizer. I don't know why it doesn't hurt the eggs but from experience I know it doesn't. My last hatch ended up with 420 free swimming fry. I was surprised to hear these methods myself.
I think your videos are great and I am subscribed, is there anyway we can email when we have any questions. my problem right now I have no problems till my fish are swimming after about a week and a half then I have ammonia problems and very high ph problems I tried to adjust the Ph and wiped out a whole spawn.
When angelfish laying eggs than how long times it take to fertilized eggs and after how long times can I take away angelfish eggs in a jar ? Please reply me thank you.
Good video - good process - some people might have missed that you flipped the slate upside down - I'll bet using chlorine blows a few minds - LOL - You might remind people that OTC HP is almost always a 3% solution
Ya. I think I will bring it up in day 2 . I'm working on it now. Should have it up tomorrow. I was surprised myself when I originally heard of the chlorine method. I tried without and I feel that there was far less fungus growth. Also removing the white eggs.
It can be difficult until they show signs of spawning. Get to know their personalities. This is always my 1st sign. The male( majority of the time) is larger than the female. Also the male will begin to defend the female and claim a territory chasing off all other fish. If you see this, separate them from the rest. With in a few weeks you should see some spawning action.
I need help my angelfish are spawning and i leave the eggs for the parents to raise but the fry keeps dying is it my water parameter? The temp too high? Am i feeding them too much? I need help!!! URGENT!!!
Hi my angelfish had spawned again im not sure whether to just self raise them or let my angelfish raise them they are indeed good parents but the babies keep dying is it because im not feeding my parents enough food? The babies are coming out weak? Urgent again please respond asap anyone can help!!!
clorine water?? misspelled. help me with this kind of water as I am a old man of 74 and should know but for the life of me I cannot think what it is????

I have had all of my pairs raise fry to free swimmers but always somewhere along the lines they eat them. I just get a much better success rate like this.
