Sometimes standing for what you believe Means standing alone Sometimes standing for what you believe Means standing alone When the limelight grows dim and our heroes fade away Some men still fight silent battles until their final days Some will be forgotten having no one know their names But I stand here grateful for the courage that they gave I am just a son A brother, a father and a friend No more, not any less I am just another man, still fighting But I wouldn't be here if I wasn't taught that Honor never dies When your heart is questioned There are hearts with hope still beating Waiting for footsteps that might not come Born with nothing just a weight to carry Through life and the journey they are on I am just a son A brother, a father and a friend No more,…
I actually did the same thing when I was 26. Lol I bought a bunch of decks and went to the park. Skated for about a hour before I realised I was to old for this shit and to busted up so I gave all the kids at the park a deck each and the one without a board I gave him my complete which was brand new. I couldn't walk through the CD store on Friday nights without every kid asking for a board.
This is kinda funny... I skated as a teen and stopped after an injury. Much later on, I worked a job building decks for Chapman Skateboards... Ended up with a stack of custom layered boards and gave a bunch away to younger skaters. They didn't understand how unique their boards were, but it was a great satisfaction to see them get used and abused. I myself may never skate again, but it's always one of my favorite skills to watch and appreciate. Takes BALLS to do it. 🤘😬
Never let life drag you down, take this advice from someone that's beat suicide twice. The only person that will take care of numero uno is numero uno.
yeah i think the name is ironic, in the same way as Lamb of God, a lot of metal bands want you to think which is why i love the music, so much better than the generic music, and most metal sounds better live as well, a testament to their talent
I remember seeing these guys at Ozzfest in 2004 and they had the biggest circle pit I've ever seen. These guys and Throwdown were trying to see who would have the crazier crowd. Throwdown did the wall of death but were outmatched by Hatebreed's football field sized circle pit.
I am just a son A brother, a father and a friend No more, not any less I am just another man still fighting But I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t taught that Honor never dies !!!!!! FUCKING HATEBREEEEED \m/ -.- \m/
That's not true, almost all their songs are about negative people, people who shit about everything and being bitchy. It gives motivation to not listen to someone else. It makes u strong. The lyrics are awesome
+brent moerenhout yeah, I don't think you understood my comment, since you pretty much just said what I did only with more words. It's fine, enjoy your protein drinks.
+Jared Bruce i think he wanted to say the following: there are people who answer hate with hate and there are people who answer hate with something better
At first i was sceptic... Then that line punched into my ear and I fell in love with the song ♥ As always: True. That's what i like about Hatebreed. Straightforward. Honest. True.

A Marine Corp buddy of mine once told me, "...Honor is the only thing that we are born with, and the only thing we can take with us to the grave. Honor is everything, it defines us as a species. It lets us know if our actions are good or not. We as Marines live our lives by the word and the meaning of Honor." I am not a Marine, yet his sage words all these years later inspire me. He also told me, "...Honor also demands that we fight for those in need, we defend those who cannot fight for themselves, the innocent. We can not ever turn our backs on those that require action on their behalves. " I live my life hoping to measure up to the meaning of Honor.
@Kenny Venegas Hmmm, shouldn't you learn how to read? I said very clearly right at the start that the words came from a buddy of mine. Furthermore, I also clearly stated that I am NOT a Marine. I have never, nor would I ever falsely claim to have that honor. I would never disrespect their service and sacrifice by ever claiming to be! It's called a typo mate, fuck off and bother someone else.
B' a'-achhhh(klingon), honor is the modern way to serve life of being a knight for all,....t'ach Pah t'ach Peh, to beers or not to beers, that is hear a question
if people peer pressure you into being somewhere, doing something... and you know that is not right and you do not really want to do that shit, remember the song lyrics
"Rammed With A Skateboard " may be the title of the new song of my band haahahaha! The wood of the skate may start to lean if someone rams it on someone's face! In Italian, it would be something like "Skate-Bordata"...
Lol this video is corny but also good at the same time. I mean the message is good but it's still kind of corny. Song is fantastic though. Been a fan of Hatebreed for many years.
I love this shit, I’m 59 years old now but I have been hard rocking since they called it ACID ROCK, I just wish I was younger and had more time to totally rock out, but hey man I’ve had a million awesome experiences jamming out, I still feel I’m 20,so hopefully I’ll be able to keep on thrashing out “ old term “ sorry about that “but hey I still play 8-tracks and have most of my hair, hope everyone who reads this has a great time and always be positive and proud of who you are and don’t just “ go with the crowd to be cool “ E from NASA, down in Houston
All of Jamie jastas super powers lie deep inside that widely folded bandana of his. What I would give to ring out three drops of sweat into my mouth and invoke the power of 100 millions bros and deadlift my way to Valhalla
"Sometimes standing for what you believe means standing alone" you truly have no fucking idea, even if you dont dont be afraid because legends never die
