Thanks man! Just got my Hatsan flash .25. Loving it so far. My first PCP rifle. I would love to tune mine and add a regulator, but I don't have the expertise or the equipment just yet. These videos helpful for sure. Maybe doing a newb tear down step by step what what to look for etc... Cleaning and lubing it up would help as well.
Besides making the adjustment for the hammer spring what is the purpose of that set screw that you remove. Or is the hammer Spring adjustment the only purpose?
Awsome , very good information and schooling on the Hatsan flash , I have a Hatsan bull boss 25cal tuned , I am thinking of purchasing a Hatsan Flash 22cal , the flash is diffrent to tune than bullboss , I know what to do know when I purchase the flash . AWSOME VIDIO
Rich, thank you for all the great info! What would you think is the one best thing you could do for the flash to improve it? Again thank you for all the info you put out!
I think it would be worth it to pay the shipping both ways and for the full tune. You said $140 and in my checking around I'm not finding anything less than $200 and that's not doing any drilling out the way you did. I want mine worked on, don't have to tools, and can't do much with my hands these days due to arthritis crippling 'em up on me. I can get it done locally, but it starts at $200, and not sure if that includes the regulator, or before buying it. I know time is a factor because of your job, but you could definitely make some extra cash real easy.
Can anyone help im a powder guy does bringing tension down make it more fps or lowering less everyone just thinks we know knowone on internet says which is which?
How do I Know when the hammer spring is home on a bull boss. I have a little tool that you stick in the action and I’m turning it and it just keeps turning it doesn’t stop. Is that normal or should I stop. Please help it’s driving me nuts
AIRGUNNERS EDGE Thank you so much. I was just having a hard time finding that little pinhole to insert the tool. Also do you do tuning. I’m having all kinds of trouble.
Thanks for the video I didn't know you can't even do that to The Flash. Now do I need to bore out the transfer port as well to increase power? Not looking for a large increase maybe 5 more lbs to get 40-45ft lbs
Been watching your videos for a while I like them got a new flashpup 22 Sunday for my birthday I'm a happy puppy he he mine has a bent bolt handle I heard these are a newer model do you know if there's a difference in the receiver and the internal guts cuz I say this is an all-new platform air rifle so I don't know if you can help thank you and if not thank you for the good videos have a great day shooting bang bang bang he he he
I just got a flash pup, and I can see the 22cal pellets fly. I have. 177 cal rifles that are much more powerful than this. Do we have to strip the gun down to adjust this? For the cost of the pcp rifles pump pellets I think it is crazy we have to do this.
Can you post actual dimensions (OD, length) of the spacer bearing you installed. You state 90 thousandths but looks larger? I can’t find one online. Could I cut proper sized drill bit shank to .090” long instead?
If you can't reach a certain FPS after full hammer adjustment then I would suggest a spacer for more hammer pressure, I was going for full power and not shot count..
I've just bought this. Have gone to adjust myself also. Are you on about the pin that is visible from the back of the hammer? As you take the stock off. If so couldn't we just drill a 5mm hole through the pin so to gain access to the adjusting screw?
I did two counterclock turns on my flash .25 and is shooting the same. No change in fps, the only difference is that with two turns counterclock it's waisting more air. Does that makes any sense? (Same fps)
im having that issue right now ........ i have the tension screw all the way "in" (it was less than one turn out not leaving me much room for adjustment) and its still shooting the crosman domed 10.5 @ about 23 foot pounds, i would love to slow this down, even a little, someone once said on another video that they changed the adjustment screw or used a spacer? idk, but no info on how that is done. any help or ideas would be appreciated.
Good morning Sir: I was looking at your video showing how you adjust the Hammer spring on your Hatsan flash. I have a Hatsan flash .22cal. Which is my first pcp and I'm new to this type of air gun but I would like to adjust my Hammer spring as well because I am shooting Dae Sung 25 grain hunting pellets. Anyway my question is do you have to let all the air out to make the adjustment because I only have a High pressure hand pump in which I pressurized my gun and I don't have access to a scuba tank or dive shop in my area so you can imagine how much effort it would take to fill the gun from empty with just a hand pump. I know you said safety first and I totally agree but if there is a way to not let all the air out please let me know. Lo L
No you do not have to, no pellets in the gun and make sure it is not cocked Because that will put pressure on the hammer Spring... I would also suggest you bottom Out the screw which means reduce the pressure of the hammer spring andcount how many fulll rotations Of the Allen wrench you get, this way you can put the hammer Spring back to where it originally was if needed....
Thank you for your quick reply and very knowledgable answer .You are a blessing to people like me who have very little knowledge of PCP's . Oh and one other thing you mentioned in the video that in order to gain access to the set screw that you had to cock the gun .You said i should leave the gun uncock so what you are saying is cock it to take the screw out first and then uncock it to make the necessary hammer spring adjustments. Am i right?
I understand that the flash and flashpup is the basis of the Vectis is this true? I'm about to mod my Hatsan Vectis .25 there's a 4 part video how this guy did it but I think your video is a bit more detailed and can actually see the rifle on the bench. I'll be using various sources of info but I stumbled upon your video so I thought I'd ask you.
It is pretty much the same with the addition of the cocking mechanism, if you Google Hatsan Schematics it will give you a better view of parts wich should help, haven't worked on one yet so I can't realy guide you through it, just make sure you record during dissembly for easier install...
@@airgunnersedge4061 the video I saw said it's like the flash and from the steps you took at tleast the hammer spring aspect is the same....either way I'll be watching your videos repeatedly THANKS!!
Hey is the flash and flash pup the same internally? I would actually really like to make it stronger if possible. I don’t mind shot count as I do carry a scuba tank. But I want accuracy and power. Any upgrades besides regulator and adjust hammEr spring ? Is there a stronger hammEr spring ?
Yes the flash in the flash pup are pretty much the same with different stocks, I made around 55 FPE with enlarging the transfer port hole and adjusting the hammer spring using JSB MKII 33.95 gr pellet, I can tell you it does use a lot of air but you were not concerned with that far as accuracy I did not get a chance to do that but these seem to work very well in my gun....
Everything you need or want to know is in my videos you will have to watch part 1 2 and 3 !!!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V_--v0oDBYI.html
Just make sure you watch all the videos first there is some important information in here then you can go back later for the parts of the video you need
I've had many tunes on this gun from a high shot count to all out power, I'm making 54fpe with 34gr JSB at the moment...i have other videos if interested..
Just to add to this i tell everyone the same thing , If your going to be working on you pcp's or firearms do not use harbour frieght or any of the real cheap tools , especially allen wrenches , Cheap allen wrenches can lead to stripping and damaged screws , If your going to work on them id suggest at the minimum a real quality set of allen wrenches and a quality phillips head screwdriver and flathead screwdriver
I ended up getting it loose that day. Dialed it down to reduce speed and noise because it was severely overpowered from the factory. I get better placement and around 50 consistent shots per fill now. Your video helped me tremendously, thank you.
