Without question, the biggest negative is the cost. Otherwise, I think for the average guy or gal who doesn't need the biggest baddest rock crawler or pre-runner and just wants a rig that can carry varying degrees of weight automatically and have adjustable heights at the push of a button... this kit is really something to consider.

Unfortunately, not at this time. The location of the fuel tank prevents it from being bolted on. However, I do know that there have been guys who've made it work and that ACCUAIR is working on a way to make it work as a kit as well.

Tires will squat also. You need to measure from the rim to give an accurate number for the suspension compensation.

Unfortunately, a kit for a 2-door is not available at this time. This is mainly because there is no where to put the air tank and compressor. However, I am told they are trying to work on something.

I don't think the ACCUAIR system was made to be or even compete with something like the suspension system that the Mojave comes with. In the end, the air pistons are high tech springs and the shocks, as nice as they are, are just good monotube shocks. The Mojave comes with really nice bypass shocks and for driving hard and fast across the desert, I would say that the Mojave still offers a better ride. What I would say is that this system rides better than my stock 392 suspension system.

Do you think your 2 door roof hoist method will work for your gladiator? My Mojave is too tall to fit in my garage but I found a shop crane that should do the trick. Im thinking of using a similar roof hoist setup that you made for your 2 door 🙂

Hi Eddie, has this system cross-link valves? On my Land Rover with air suspension, while offroading the control module opens a valve to link the air bags of the same axel, so when one side is going to be compressed in a twist, the air in the compressed air bag is pushed into the other one on the opposite side extending the suspension in order to gain more travel and traction. Equalizing the pressure of the bags (via these cross-link valves) improve furthermore the ride comfort on rough terrain.

Hey Eddie one quick question. How noisy is the compressor? My kids would be sitting in the back seat and one of them is pretty noise sensitive. And how often does it tend to run? Thanks

On a Gladiator, the compressor is located under the far rear passenger corner. You can hardly hear it when it's on and it really only comes on when you go to a taller setting after being down low. Aside from that, it just comes on for a few seconds far and few between.

Unfortunately, I don't think a kit is made for the 392 or at least, in terms of a direct bolt on kit. This is due to the exhaust system getting in the way. But, I suppose just about anything could be made to work and I think it would do well. The wheels have -12 offset

"unofficially", they've tested it out with way more weight than 1600 lbs. But, just because the suspension can hold the weight doesn't mean that the vehicle can or should.

Is it possible to lower the system to the stops and drive forward into a garage (and then back out) without the suspension trying to raise itself above the bump stop height? Does that hold even if the Jeep has sat for a bit and then restarted? Thanks.

As mentioned in this and other videos we've made regarding this suspension system, you can drive on ANY of the settings including on the bumps so long as you do NOT exceed 25 mph. At 25 mph, the system will automatically raise your Jeep back to the default #2 setting. I would imagine that you'd be driving a LOT slower pulling into or out of a garage. If you turn off your Jeep, it will stay on the bumps but when you start it up, the suspension will raise up to the default #2 setting. If you set it to #1, it will stay at #1 even if you start your Jeep.

We are looking at getting a Gladiator and putting on AluCab Canopy Camper on it and have been thinking this suspension set-up might solve several concerns. I was wondering if, as a bonus, I might actually be able to park in my garage - even with the Alu-Cab. Based on my garage height and best guess as to height, on the bump stops, it might just work. Not a requirement, but it would be nice!

Deep water crossing, no problem. The breather intake is located on top of the radiator. Combined with sub-zero temps... hard to say for sure. ACCUAIR does offer provisions for cold weather and you'll get to see some of this in an upcoming video but that might be a bit much.

The fogs are factory and they really don't work worth anything due to the fact that they sit behind square holes. I think you'd be better off installing something like square Rigid or something like it.

Rainy weather is not an issue. We've been running it in the snow all winter and haven't had any issues with cold if that's what you mean. Salted roads, we don't have that where we live but ACCUAIR tells me their air pistons will survive it.

@@wayalife have you heard of 74weld? I saw a video on RU-vid explaining the set up. Basically you unbolt the hub and bolt on this device 74weld calls a portal. It allows you to gain 3” of clearance with no lift plus gives you a gear reduction.

Actually, the auto leveling is speed sensitive. If you can get up to 25 mph, each piston will air up to where it needs to be to achieve default height. The brains behind it works off of both sensor position and psi.

I don't think this kit is for everyone but for the guy or gal who does a lot of overlanding or wants or needs to carry a lot of weight on and off, this system just offers a lot more options that a standard spring suspension just can't hold a candle to.

@Olaf Kithau Well, first and foremost, the cost is probably the biggest shortcoming for most people. But, I get your question and for me personally, I'd have to say that the brains - the technology that makes this system so cool and useful, is the potential shortcoming. ACCUAIR is so confident in their air pistons that they'll warranty them for 100k miles. However, anything technology driven can also be the weak link - same is true of the Jeeps we drive. But, so far, I can tell you that we haven't seen any problems and we've racked up over 4k miles on this rig.

@Wayalife Yeah, I agree regarding limits of technology especially in the backcountry. I have dealt with air bags while in the backcountry and there could be issues with airbags if the suspension extends too far. A leak could develop in a bag or airline. Then there's questions about how to change an airbag on the trail in event of a malfunction. What redundancy exists if the control module malfunctions? I like the system but I would need to know more about the functionality.

Also, each one is independently controlled by individual solenoids. If one were to fail or suffer a leak, the problem would be limited to just that one. I will have to ask/look into redundancies as that is a legit question.

@@wayalife On a side note, have you heard of the problem where Jeep motors have an injector to hang wide open and ruin the motor because there is nothing to notify the driver this has happened? I hope you are running some form of injector cleaner such as Lucas through your stuff.
