this game could be really fun. Sure its a trucking game but putting it in space has added a whole new dimension to this genre and lets you manage so many things, at one point during my trip in the demo, the artificial gravity went out and I had to figure out how to fix that (which took longer than I think it should have for it being the first time it happened) and the amount of things you need to manage is really great. Having shops later in the game and a better inventory system is definitely important. You should be able to strap things down so if you do lose grav while moving and come to a stop then youre not instantly bombarded with the random boxes in your truck lol

Yeah and the demo has alot more hidden stuff. There a sort of salvage mechanic, and a the truck has a horn that doubles as a radar to show the location and names/CB handles of nearby trucks. All the controls in the truck cab are functional; you can freeze to death in one of the colder stations if your not careful. Defiantly wish-listing this for later.

the movie space truckers staring Dennis Hopper came out in 1996 . this game borrows a lot from that film in terms of visuals if you missed the film it is worth a look.

This has the movie (space truckers) a 1996 all over it lol. Not suprised someone would eventually make a game that has the vibes if not made to mimic that old move.

This is the sort of game I've been waiting for. We had a game like this (text game) back in the BBS days (early 90s). I've been wondering for a long time why nobody is doing one like it now that we have all these lovely space simulators.

On one of my playthroughs of the demo, bad things started to build up and it was looking grim, so I took a spacewalk, without my suit.

I do hope there is one of those repair shops, I prefer my truck to be in pristine condition instead of looking like I slapped tons of plates on the outside.

love all your videos man! I was just wondering what type of pc you use? Was it pre built? Did you build it yourself? Again just curious I am wanting to buy one here soon but i have no idea where to start. I want one where I can play any game I choose basically, and be able to use it to keep track of some personal things, but mainly for gaming.

Disappointed nobody caught the interstate 40 and 15 signs and realized the "space trucker" is in "space barstow" 😂

The only thing that doesn't make sense is docking to the job board,to then just have to go somewhere else to get the cargo.

Definitely first-person.

Having to restart from the beginning of the tutorial after I messed up stopped me playing.

Personally, I'd be a 1st person driver. The 3rd person view looks too clunky to me. Plus, there looks to be some controls that are only available in 1st person view.

I know this is a demo, but taking a job to go to a station with a designated cargo hold that DOES NOT EXIST...kinda trolling...just-say-ing...

you lost $ cause u hit the rock after hooking your trailer. in the place u started are fuel (gas) stations and a truck repair shop. I have not found out how to replace/buy the energy cells, filters, and stuff yet. The demo doesn't save progress as far I can tell 😞 so beware for now.

Been a bit iffy on this one, it looks like a fairly chill and relax game (at this stage anyways) provided you don't go demolition derby with your rig. From another youtubers demo run of this, it looks like there are customization stores/options in Atlas Prime. The map showed a lot of services for AP but Z apparently didn't focus on them enough to look at what they could have meant (shocker, I know. :P ) so you probably got power cells and other replaceable items from there.

I'm impressed that your truck actually has an interior so you can actually get out of your seat and walk around inside it. Not many space games, vehicle sims, etc. let you do that! I play ETS2, but it doesn't let you walk around inside your truck or get out of it. You're glued into your seat 😞

There is so much to this game. It has a space looting mechanic where you can find stuff for your truck.

You can tell this game was made for U.S. audience, cause the distance indicators are in yards instead of meters! Unless of course you can toggle between imperial/metric in the menu.
