Third boat: he got out under his own power. What happened after is a separate incident. The chances that he had a mechanical failure are far greater than that he was stopped by the inlet. In the past, when you have counted the same boat outgoing and returning it has been considered two rounds. Why the change of course?

That Brig driver gets a win. He all but greenwatered the bimini and stayed dry anyhow. That's a worthy move. When you stripped the third boat of the win, because it mechanicaled out on the open, which had NOTHING to do with the H, you cheated. Boats win in a sweep.
