Phantom Manor is way better than your Haunted Mansion 🟦⬜🟥🇫🇷 Lol there's actually bust in the new corridor of Phantom Manor. This one is not Moving and located futher away. You didn't see it 😆 6:50
The Haunted Mansion is my favorite ride along with the Pirate Ride........when I saw the fan videos of the Phantom Manor Ride and I loved the story behind it.
Our French Phantom Manor has more disturbing backstory. The owner of Manor is also the same person who runs Big Thunder Mountain Company Most likely the Whole Frontierland Thunder Mesa is connected to Phantom Manor Tony Baxter ensured French Haunted Mansion had to be more scarier and creepier than the California one
I agree on the part that it has more consistency on it's theming, story and characters but disagree on the superior part, maybe it might just simply be due to how iconic the mansion and the characters are but I prefer the Haunted Mansion.
As French. Been wishing for years they will make a Phantom Manor Movie. Hopefully as Sequel I saw the Haunted Mansion movie. It was okay. The Main Villain the Hat Box is not scary
Phantom Manors My Favorite for the Story As soon as I learned about it and saw videos and such I fell in love, Because there’s so much you can build upon it. Like just story ideas like that Henry is keeping Melanie somewhat young so that she continues to wait and wait and he can torment her for her commitment to waiting as she slowly looses it. (Idk if it makes sense but I like the idea). Also from fan art I’ve seen of Melanie she’s a very pretty girl I’ll just say and I feel bad for her! But seriously Disney needs like a Disney+ series or something about Phantom Manor just for more people to learn about it and give it some love.
Our Phantom Manor needs it's own movie. The Storytelling is so drama. 🇫🇷😈 To sum up the backstory of Phantom Manor, Henry Ravenswood is so Overprotective Father to Melanie. He thinks none of the 4 suitors who wanted to ask her daughter's hand are not good enough for her. He led them upon their demise
There's supposed to be a Big Thunder Mountain movie coming up; depending on whether the Thunder Mesa (Disneyland Paris) version of Big Thunder will be the setting of that one, a Phantom Manor movie would be the next logical step really; perhaps it'll even be mentioned already?
I love both for different reasons. I love haunted mansion for being so iconic and being both dark and dark humored while I love phantom manor for having a way better story and soundtrack
I’ve only been on the haunted mansion, but tbh after studying the lore of both extensively I think phantom manor has a better story. That being said, I am annoyed that they got rid of every reference to Jake. They really went “References to hanging are too dark. We should remove them. Anyway, one of Melanie’s suitors got sliced in half by a buzzsaw.”
Since I never visited Disneyland or Disneyland Paris, I watched videos of both places and I find that I like the Phantom Manor better after watching the video of the ride. It has a story that goes with the house. It makes you feel sorry for young Melanie Ravenswood who is waiting by the window on the grand staircase for her fiancee to come back and not knowing that her fiancee is already dead.
I don't understand why one has to be "better" than the other. Phantom Manor has a story that's part of the larger Thunder Mesa universe which is it's own thing, whereas the classic Haunted Mansion is more open-ended, in that you are a visitor checking out a potential "retirement" option for the afterlife - where you're guaranteed to have a "swingin' wake" with other creepy, but friendly, ghosts.
Did you get on the ride? How was it? We are at DLP right now for the first time, and like the fit in the Frontierland story better. We were also at DL in CA this year, but it was being reimagined so we still have never experienced that one.
Fun fact both haunted mansion and phantom manor according to disney are both family friendly attractions 👪 because they are the same house with different stories and I like it that way. Both versions are awesome
The names of Melanie's fiancés allude to their deaths. Barry Claude was eaten by bears Rowan D. Falls got caught in a river current and went over a waterfall Sawyer Bottom was cut in two by an industrial saw And Ignatius Knight got blown up by dynamite
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters vs. Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast: differences between rides. Pirates of the Caribbean vs. Pirates of the Caribbean: differences between rides.
I liked the original stretch room from Phantom Manor where all the things were happening to Melonie better. How come Disney never came up with a movie about Phantom Manor?
I liked the ideas of Melanie getting into silly little mishaps :) I never liked the artstyle but I miss when the ride revolved around Melanie and her groom and not a bunch of guys with goofy pun names and unserious deaths
Both rides are amazing in their own rights. By heavy bias PM is my favorite version. But I respect and love HM a lot, it is the original after all and comparing the two feels unfair. They are just two completely different rides to me. Different tones, different themes and vibes. PM feels like the older, edgy brother to HM even though HM is the older one. It just depends on what a guest is looking for in a spooky ride. Want some scary fun with weird settings, ideas and characters without much plot? HM is your true pick. Want something macabre, gothic, lore heavy and foreboding? PM is the one for you:)
The Storytelling of Phantom Manor is better than Haunted Mansion. More disturbing and dramatic which takes place in Wild War West. Basically, The Whole Frontierland is linked with the backstory Phantom Manor. One of the most highlight Those 2 have different story
If you looking for a half family friendly haunted ride and an uncompleted story then The Haunted Mansion is it, If you looking a complete scary ride and an competed story then The Phantom Manor is it
This year I made both, and definitely I can say Phantom Manor manos is 1000 times better than Haunted Mansion. In videos looks similar but even you can watch the differences, but on the ride the feeling on Phantom Manor is superior, you can feel nostalgic, melancholic, heartbreak, the pain, and the voice singing in hole attraction made it amazing. The bride at dining room's window is absolutely lovely, and the theme of Phantom Canyon is superior to any other theme. I love Magic Kingdom, bur Phantom Manor in Paris won this time. And I haven't talked about the cargo area or the entrance hallway and the fact that we enter through the door and not from the side.
I think they are both amazing, but Phantom Manor did not have to start from scratch as Haunted Mansion did. The fact that one wanted an experiences only and the other wanted a storyline does make Phantom Manor more palatable to today's audiences.
@@storiesfromthemansion4387 I am partial to just the general atmosphere and operatics of phantom manor. The haunted Mansion is Grand but phantom Manor is a little less ham-fisted. It takes itself dead serious and has enough humor as to not be pretentious. I just love the clear and concise storyline the dark ominous atmosphere. It's the Haunted Mansion perfected
@@storiesfromthemansion4387 As French I got a talk with Tony Baxter famed Disney Imagineer in a Convention back in April 12th. He said himself that he wanted a better version better version than Haunted Mansion. And it's Phantom Manor More scary and disturbing backstory. That link with the Whole Frontierland
Phantom Manor is fantastic and if I could ride both with no other guests then I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite, they both are amazing for their own reasons. HOWEVER... I went to Disneyland Paris and Disneyland California last year within months of each other and the guests at Paris are SO RUDE. I couldn't hear anything in the foyer or the stretching room, all the other guests were talking all the time as if they weren't already in the attraction. Then during the attraction half the people in the buggies near me were on their phones with the brightness up, again as if they weren't ON a freakin' ride! In California there was still chatter, but either they have their volume up higher or the guests were more considerate, so I could clearly hear everything, and I only once saw someone open their phone. I wish I could ride Phantom Manor when the park was empty because it would have been a much better experience. I do love tho that the Mayor of Thunder Mesa (who's tipping his head to you at the start of the town scene) is Paul Frees! I believe they sampled lines from the Haunted Mansion recording to make the dialogue for the Mayor at Phantom Manor =D
As far as I'm concerned, the Hatbox Ghost thrashes the Phantom. I'm not impressed with the Phantom. Other than that, Phantom Manor seems very intriguing and I plan on going sometime.
