It looks nice but I'm kind of leery of anything digital as it seems the digital controls are always the first thing to go wrong with any digital appliance I've ever had so usually if I can find a manual equivalent I'll go for that instead. Not to mention, if I need a part for a manual machine I can usually replace it myself whereas if I need a new panel or circuit board I'm pretty well lost.
Interesting: Another left handed tilt head mixer. (The Instant tilt head mixer was also left handed, with the stand support on the user’s right.) Is this the newest trend? Or maybe the designer intended this mixer to be used with the end facing the user, since the digital display is oriented in the end-on direction, which seems a bit awkward to me.
Great review! Prob the best at creaming that I’ve seen yet. Your pizza looks amazing! I’ll pop some Apple Cider Vinegar in my dough if I want to eat it right away… that and a dash of garlic powder helps hurry the flavor.
The cracking noise while kneeding was a bit alarming for me. It makes it sound cheap and likely to fall apart after some time. It's a no for me because I'd be scared to break it with some bread dough.
I'm curious as I watched you make butter with a food processor the other day. If you use the whip to make whipped cream could you then switch to a paddle and eventually get butter?
Is the expensive mixer Amy is referring to the new Digital Smart GE Bowl Lift which is currently exclusive to Crate & Barrel? GE has a new tilt-head model too! They are claiming to have more touch-points than a KitchenAid.
