Love the new rig. Can't wait to see how well it goes touring round OZ. I've been using the Duetto water heater for 3 years. it's awesome, takes 15-20 mins when using the inverter (240 volts) or an hour when using solar (12 volts).
Loving the invasion of the American 4x4s. Silverado Zr2 owner here. I think the 2500 would be hard work as a daily. Interesting to see how its goes on the Aussie tracks. I've taken my Zr2 1500 on same tracks as 79 and it gets it down, sometimes just. Not because of capability but pure size. Love it Team explore life
Great build mate. The only thing I’d change is swap the kitchen with the fridge. Seems strange why you have to walk around the kitchen to get to the fridge. Just a thought. Love your work
Well done ya bastard! 😂 Just jealous, that's all. Best setup I've seen since the 'Pat Keg' gig. Can't wait to see how she fits down Patrol/Cruiser tracks. Hope it goes well mate. Cheers, dd
Get the banks air intake horn .. the issue is the grid heater bolt rots off and ends up in cyl 6 fubaring your engine .. the banks intake gets rid of this issue
Thats a big rig m8. And it is new ell set out But just to pop it into perspective that big rig is my house. Now also i realise that what u have spent is equivalent to a landcruiser n big van ensom. All in all well put together n u will get the use out of it
Awesome rig Matty. 1st world problem I know, but with the drawers in the canopy (passenger side) did you consider having the release buttons (the yellow ones) as single hand release instead of needing both hands? From experience it saves you from having to put your beer down. 😂. Keep up the great content 🤙🏼
Amazing job Matt you have done a stellar job on my car 😂I’m just waiting for you to drop it off as I’m in wa 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I think nav said he would bring it over 😜
Navs needs a hot water shower? I just watched him spend 3 days living in a shelter built out of sticks and leaves! Can't wait to see more episodes with this awesome rig!
bruz thats not what this channel is for, there's 100s of budget channels out there this clearly is not a channel focused on budget builds and thats how it should stay
This channel is for me to build what I enjoy! From 5k to 350k and probably more next time. I love building 4x4s Boats Offroad trailers and then enjoy having fun with them. If you don’t like it carry on to a budget channel the content is free 😂
Needs an ice maker to be the ultimate tourer. The rigs and content are amazing keep up the great work. Look forward to seeing what you do in the future.
Been following for a long time and was great meeting you and having chat at Perth 4wd show 2 years ago. Sad to say the unachievable excessive builds by most of you guys on RU-vid is honestly starting to change how good the episodes are to watch for me. Not hating just my opinion
thanks for the feedback mate. It doesn't matter to us what the vehicle is as long as we're getting outt there but this vehicle is the safest option for what we want to be towing
Can you not take any enjoyment from watching an awesome rig like this? It's not in my budget either, but surely there is some interest for you. Maybe even a light build, RTT set up, suspension, or wait for it, just seeing a great rig for what it's worth. These guys have to keep the lights on, this helps that. They've done heaps of cheap builds as have other content makers. Sometimes it's not always about you, and that's okay....
You probably don’t need anymore HP out of the engine but definitely delete the adblue and EGR Get a banks power ram intake Upgrade the intercooler especially with 3 lights blocking flow in front put a cooler with a fan on it on your transmission. You’ll thank me later for that ♥️ Install a 2 micron fuel filter prior to engine OEM filter Especially for where you’re going. Cummins do not love shit fuel
You have the extra storage for chairs and table, you need something about 1m - 1.5m long to stand on as that kitchen is way too high. Otherwise, greet job on the truck.
Couldnt agree more, im also of the opinion that if you go driving one of these around pretty good chance you'll need to upgrade to the dual cab within 6-9months 💦
I respect the idea of bigger, better and advancing your channel and clickbait. Which you do fantastic at (no hate). But i feel you showed a more authentic passion when you got to build the 79 series. As if it was your actual dream. Now you're just doing side quests, haha 🤙
What a machine looks like it will concour all, must be honest at that price i would be too scared to take it off road and get damaged 😭. All the way from SA, South Africa 💪
Mint truck we saw it at the Brisbane show when we were foing Queensland east coast trip this yr but a bit big for us up here in the uk!! My y61 struggles on some of out tight lanes( tracks) being a bit too big
We are currently building a Hilux which is what an average AUSSIE owns most of. But I like building the best rigs I possibly can so that’s why I built it for me not for anyone else 🤙
These RU-vid channels are turning more into 'look at me, look at me', instead of showing off the beautiful country we live in. Everything's sponsored content, mostly out of the everyday Australians price point in this current market
Ever watched a car builders show ? Imagine if they just built what every day aussies drive 😂 I love building the baddest 4wds boats trailers I don’t like building what everyone else has I love the challenge of building something unique and then we use the shit out of our projects.
End of the day 350k single cab Ute. Won’t go anywhere or do anything better or more than what a 35k Ute in any form can do. Says you want to do the big builds etc but I reckon you’ll gain more appreciation doing your trips in a “regular Aussies” 4x4 and doing your trips in that and see how you really go then. Don’t get me wrong I’ll still watch all these youtubers/influences for the locations they go to but it’s all a race to outdo and 1 up the other channels and stay relevant. How did we survive camping in swag with an esky and tarp back in the day? Or maybe it was all we needed before the cameras came out? Call me a hater but just my 2 cents worth.
Definitely not about what’s the biggest and craziest build. I have just as much fun if not more in our budget builds! for us this is a challenge as well as the safest option with what we’re planning to tow 👍
Daym…so sell my house to go 4wd’ing haha. Love ur content but this is getting a little out of this world for the normal 4wder unless u sell your soul to sponsors hahaha
@@theexplorelife it’ll wheel as well as the driver makes it wheel 😆 hope it does but! For sustainability sake. Mother earth and most 4wders love a sustainable approach & outcome 🙏
