As on the first few seasons of the Would I Lie to You show, Angus Deayton seems to prefer to hurry the show along so they could go through more segments. For the first few seasons of Have I Got News For You, he does not give the panelists time to get the answer or make more jokes by Angus himself giving them a clue or the answer quite soon after the question was asked. As can be seen with the success of both shows in their current forms, more segments (or going through more questions) are unnecessary for their successes. I am also happy to see Ian win - that's a rarer outcome.
