OMG, this episode is an instant classic. Everyone was in rare form and played off each other with such ease...and I agree that Steph is one of the best recurring hosts of them all!

Nabil Abdultashid is DAMN quick. He’s almost as rapidly witty as Lee Mack. Pays lip service to what people think he will while ribbing all of it. Want to see more.
When talking about how Britain is a few years behind Nigeria with regards to corruption, his "I'm quite proud of your progress" joke was incredible! Fine form, sharp wit. 9:00

@@paulmead5832 It wasn't bad, but I recommend you search the one with Victoria Coren and Jacob Rees-Mogg. Ian comes out with one of the funniest lines ever in the first story. And one with Reginald D. Hunter and James May -- a classic exchange with Ian and those two on the environment.
This episode was a gift that kept on giving. One of the best for ages. Nabil was brilliant - his "Woohoo, get in there lads" and "you owe us" had me in hysterics. Paul @19:20 and Carol's reaction ! 😂😂😂 In fact, everyone from that point onwards ("watering the protesters, they're going to grow bigger now") I had to pause for breath. I live part of the year in the UK and pay a tv licence but even having paid my licence, I cannot watch BBC iplayer outside of the UK and that really urinates me off.

I loved how Nabil responded to the question about legal immigration. There are 120 thousand UK citizens in the UAE, and 1 in 10 of them live abroad. You don’t hear other countries complain about them, it’s shameful how they speak about people who relocate to England.
The Brits in the UAE are overwhelmingly middle-class & in good jobs. That's very different to a Pakistani labourer who's married to his illiterate cousin, has several disabled kids, lives in a council house & claims a fortune in benefits.
Sort of. He used to present kiddies tv with Gordon the gopher. As for the que jumping . That was blown out of all proportion so the actual reason never gets mentioned. . Usual press being over dramatic.
I love it when eveyone is friendly on this show. The occasional bit of politician bashing makes for a good clip, but as a whole show this is just wonderful
Right? This felt like a bunch of good mates having a laugh and some banter too. I like ones where they have a politician on they don't like and get to make some comments about it but I think I like these sorts more where everyone's having a fun time. :)
He was a consummate professional in this episode; letting the banter flow, and only stepping in with ejaculations, quick-fillers, or absolute slayers, E.G. "My Brother's done what?!" ... "Yeah, but you were featured in a section called 'Where are they now?'" ... he certainly keeps the "Missing Words" round lively
yeah, this is the episode to recommend to anybody who hasn't seen the show or those who have but don't get it, this is indeed a classic and the "after" party with ian, steph and carol, must have been a blast!

to be fair I think Paul's the sort to sit back and let lesser known comedians shine. He's had a long career and remembers how tough it can be back when trying to get yourself more widely known. I think he likes to sit back when he knows there's a capable comedian on, and be more active when it's an unfunny politician or other person.
