Whilst I can appreciate the need for inclusion, the hearing impaired community (of which I am a member) can at least SEE people applauding, whereas the visually impaired audience members won’t be able to HEAR applause
the Time Shift has caused major discombobulation. oh for you too? whew. Thanks for making Breakfast this morning, Higgy and the 3C's coffee, cannabis and comedy
@@cathyshort you have to wonder how someone can be so willingly blind to reality. Seriously, watching Flump over the years it has become increasingly clear to me that he got stuck at some developmental stage that the rest of us reached and passed at the age of 5 years old. This man is the living embodiment of what happens when you raise a child without discipline and sensible boundaries. Talk about a warning from history!
@@cathyshort it’s terrifying isn’t it? It’s like half the world has lost its mind just now. I can’t imagine what it is they are thinking, makes no sense to me. Where about in Australia are you? I’m west highlands Scotland, but my sister has lived in Cairns for the last 33 years.
Ian usually is on the money, but I'm afraid his nonsensical Peter Tatchell quote doesn't cut it for me. I completely agree that the bakery have the freedom to serve whoever they like (just like it was completely fine when Twitter banned Trump for violating their TOS, ironic since those supporting the bakery would 100% have been irate over Trump being banned and happy with Elon Musk's childish display since his takeover, but I digress)..... What I do not agree with is the notion that the bakery making the cake could seem like they agree with a belief they do not hold when that is complete nonsense, otherwise, every single thing they have written on a cake over the years means they carried that belief. The World doesn't work that way. We buy products made in China, does that mean we somehow support the child slave labour that goes on there? It contradicts an earlier argument he (and Paul) had with Louise Mensch when she said being anti-capitalist, but getting a coffee from starbucks makes you a hypocrite and they said something along the lines of "just because you buy coffee, doesn't mean your anti-capitalist opinions can't be heard" Yet Ian is totally fine with this Bakery refusing a service based entirely on belief systems??? Oh-kay. It was a very right wing false equivalency IMO.
Im Gay and totally agree about the gay bakery and glad they won the case. Me being gay shouldn't mean people have to do what i say and give up their personal beliefs for me!! If a bakery or a B&B doesnt want me then thats upto them!
I used to be a chef I made a strawberry sponge which turned out pink... Not my intention BTW A colleague shouted I'd made a gay cake... The boss who was homosexual made my working life hell from that day on... Till I either killed him or left.. I left... Such a weakass bully with power and such a bitch...
Sometimes I'm expected to agree and go along with a life style or habit I don't follow yet I keep my opinion to myself without compromise as to my choices...I do not judge or discriminate Yet sometimes the minority or so called hated do... That's what I suffered discrimination and bullying for what someone assumed to know my opinion more than I did...
@@honordefon610 so some people are shit and therefore you want to call out that ‘some people’ includes minority groups? I mean yeah, obviously some people are shit, and therefore pretty obviously some minorities are shit. I still don’t really get the point of your story except to say that just because someone is a minority doesn’t mean they can’t be a shit person, which is a pretty trivial thing to decide to make a point about.
And yet, the baker refused to bake the cake because he believes gay marriage undermines “real marriage”, and yet had no problem making a “wedding” cake for a dog marriage.
Love Paul Merton but that was the worst Scots accent I’ve ever heard! And not everyone in Scotland speaks with a Glaswegian accent, for anyone wanting to give the Scot’s accent a go. There are many different accents so why not try one of those? They are very different from each other, perhaps trying a different regional Scot’s accent would be easier to do.
